| Tikona Wireless Broadband- Service Review Posted: 13 Mar 2014 12:30 AM PDT Hi, I am using tikona brodband services from last 6 months. Initially service was very good. It has good internet speed. Except in improper weather conditions it were working very fine. But from past 15 days, the internet connection is getting disconnected from 2:00 PM to 11:PM. The plan I use is 2 Mbps Unlimited plan for Rs. 1000 monthly rental. Despite of taking high value/high money plan from tikona, the services are getting worsen now a days. I am helpless to use internet between 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM. I called customer care and didn't get the proper response, all they say is they will assign the engineer visit 2 days later the complaint being registered. When I called customer care they simply denied the if the issue is there from tikona's end.I think it is a hidden agenda to interrupt services as the 2-11 Pm are the idle hours for most of the customers. Because of this I was not able to book a tatkal railway ticket.I am thinking to switch to another service provider. I would encourage to not opt for tikona. Thanks for reading this review. Ritesh |

They provide wireless connection till your building and from the receiver to your PC a wire is connected. They provide with promised speed... The connection is reliable too. I've been using the 2 mbps plan and its good. A fine service altogether. |

| Power Issues in the Panel Box Installed Posted: 13 Mar 2014 12:23 AM PDT Hi All, I got ACT 2 months ago. I am the first one who got the connection in my area and I referred two friends too. They installed the panel box in my home and I personally supervised the installation. They clearly explained me that there will be a internal battery in the box and that will support the router when the power goes off. But after sometime the promise went for a toss. Whenever there is a power failure the internet goes down. It is illogical since most of us use Laptops which can support 4 hours of backup. I raised complainants 4 times so far the best part is they will close the issue on their own and I need to call the customer care every time to understand the status of the ticket.

| Posted: 12 Mar 2014 11:50 PM PDT I got this wireless modem/Router yesterday. I am using this in conjunction with a Vodaphone K3770-Z USB data card with an Aircel sim. Using the data card only and plugged into my laptop, I get very good speeds. But when I plug it into the Mmx440 and connect my laptop to the wifi,the data speed is just terrible ; webpages take ages to load. I changed the APN settings to what they are in my data card, but it hasn't helped much. Mmx400 default APN: aircelinternet Datacard APN : aircelgprs Any advise is much appreciated. |

| You Broadband has the worst service Posted: 12 Mar 2014 09:38 PM PDT It was down for 18 days. Service is pathetic. I am fed up and so as my friends. I regret by taking you BB. Customer support people says we are facing some issue, sorry for that, thats all they do. in between it started working and now every alternate day it doesn't work. I have used BSNL, Hathway & You till now. Among all worst is YOU. Now yet to try Airtel & ACT. If you have which is better among Airtel & ACT, let me know. All I need is properly working connection.

| You broadbad - worst service and speed Posted: 12 Mar 2014 09:37 PM PDT I am using you broadband in wakad pune. My experience with you is very bad. The speeds are never as per the plan you are on. On weekends, its almost unusable. The call center people take a lot of time to answer your calls. Many times i had hang up as no one was picking up the call. My recent experience is worst. My net was down for more than a week. And the suport person arrived only after my recharge was expired and i refused to renew as the net was down (I received a lot of calls from them to renew). Reminding to renew is the only thing they are good at. Please beware of you broadband. |

Couple of years ago, I had used hotfile for saving personal pics along with a few rare movies and mid last year, hotfile closed my account after megaupload raid. It was working fine for some time. But for most of the time I get error stating that "Invalid Mobile Number and Account no combination. Please try with correct information." even though I give correct information.
Why it is not working and gives this error. Anything needs to be done. Plz help me in this regard.

I unsubscribed, and that too deducted my talktime balance, but still getting it. Any way to get it removed forever? Like DND registration or anything? |
| BSNL recharge on unlimited plan Posted: 12 Mar 2014 12:20 PM PDT Hello, Just got a evdo prepaid card and SIM. I paid 1199 and they gave free 399 rs amount in the account. I asked them about the unlimited plan and they told me to recharge another 400 rs and it will become unlimited. So I went to paytm website and recharged 400 rs and now the balance is approx 915 rs. But still when I browse, I get SMS like "your balance is deducted so and so"..
If I'm on unlimited plan, why do I receive such sms?
Also how to confirm that I'm in unlimited plan.
when I went to register http://genext.bsnl.co.in/cdmaprepaid , it sent me a PIN number to my CDMA number, but I didn't receive it still, so cant use that site at the moment.
Please help. |

795 - 2 mbps for 8 GB & 512 kbps beyond.
Basically, they have cloned the 900 plan & removed the 350 calls & made it as per existing landline plan. Might turn to be expensive if you dont have a higher range landline plan. If you are in the 900 plan, you are better off continuing perhaps On a second glance, looks like they have brought back the stand alone BB plan of 800, but instead of 1 mbps till 6 GB, they have replaced it with 2 mbps till 8 GB & reduced Rs.5 to that plan.. People on BB Home ULD 800, should probably look to migrate to this one. But yeah, better read the fine print to make sure you are not loosing something.. |

Airtel is not bad, their support is pretty good, but their data caps are atrocious. I am grandfathered to a 150 GB plan which they have stopped, and the speed is not too high either (4 mbps).
The connection will be primarily be used for online gaming and heavy downloading from Steam. Anyone has any feedback pings to EU and Singapore servers in games like Dota 2 and CS GO? How about HD streams in Twitch and Yotutube? I will also probably cross the FUP every month, so I also need to know if their data tracking is accurate. Thanks! |

can someone tell me if this is possible ? , If yes how do i do it ..cuz i tried connecting the lan cord which comes out of ont404i modem to the netgear modem ...i tried to setup connection using the installation cd but it said ADSL2 not available , now as my connection is not adsl i assume ..can i still use that router just as WIFI ..do i need to install new softwares ? |
