How to safely use an Induction Cooker?

Any induction stove users here? Mom is planning to start using it as an alternative because of the scarcity of the cooking gas cylinders in the city. 

 

I have read the manual. I am still confused. I basically got this:

 

I have to use utensils that are designed for induction cooking. 

I have to ensure that the cooker is at a flat surface with nothing hindering the airflow around it. 

I have to place the utensil at the center of the stove ensuring that the circle region is optimally covered. 

I have to place the utensil first and then start the induction cooker. 

 

Can anyone give me a small guide on what else to take care? Would it blast like a microwave if not used properly? :D

How to check if BSNL evdo will give me speeds at my place before i purchase it?

I am from ahmedabad, Vatva. I was using local SpidiGo internet from past 2 years. a month back my spidigo guys told me that there is some problem with their local AP and hence i will be refunded my money. I applied for tikona internet provider, the guy from tikona did show up today but told me that connection at my place is not possible since he can not get a LOS to his AP.

Reliance Wimax is to expensive. Airtel/Tata broadband are not available at my place. so now the only players who remain are Dongles and data cards. I have used unlimted broadband plans from past 4 years, and hence would like to continue using unlimted in future as well. but when i did some research for the datacard/dongle plans by various providers and came to know that most of the so called "Unlimted plans" by tata photon, reliance netconnect +, and MTS blaze only provide good speeds untill few GBs a month.

Now the only thing that remain is BSNL evdo Which according to my research actually provides unlimited internet at 750 a month. but since it is BSNL obviously it was hard for me to gather information regarding how to get the connection and things.

Now the only concern i have is that, i know that BSNL evdo provides only 144kbps where it doesnt have the "high speed" signals. I am worried that if i buy a new evdo , in my home i may not get the speed.

So my question is : How do i check bsnl evdo speed in my house, without having an evdo ? I dont have any friends who use evdo. however i do have freinds who have BSNL sims. so can i check BSNL sim signal such as if its HSPA or EDGE ? does that matter?

RELIANCE BROADBAND NOT WORKING – STRANGE PROBLEM.

Dear All,

For the last 7 days my Reliance Broadband Connection is switched off from 7 PM to 10 AM next day. I have lodged several complains to the Reliance Toll Free Customer Care number and email them, but they fail to solve the problem or at least call and say where the problem is. I am from Central Kolkata, West Bengal.

Interesting part is that the ADSL Link is present in the modem and I get the message "Acquiring network address" but then I get the final message "The connection has limited or no connectivity" in Windows XP Home Edition. The same connection in the same computer will start to work after 10 AM every day and stop working at around 7 PM. It seems someone is switching any ISP equipment ON and OFF every day.

Can anyone say what can be the probable cause of such an issue where the ADSL link is not down but the computer fails to get an IP address and how to get it solved since Reliance customer care cannot help. It seems Reliance has one of the worst customer care at present.

Thought I would start another thread for people who have actually used this service to describe their experience.

They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me.

I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them.

So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated.

In 1950, the Constitution of India provided for caste-based reservation in government jobs, but only for a decade. The idea was to then observe what social progress it had delivered and re-evaluate what measures were needed for further progress. The idea was never to perpetuate a tyranny of inherited identities. Unfortunately, as caste-based reservation degenerated into a crass tool of electoral instrumentalism, it became anathema for political parties to debate it honestly. Congress general secretary Janardan Dwivedi has made a radical statement in this context, that it is time to dismantle caste-based quotas. Reservation should now be based on people's economic condition.
Dwivedi correctly points out that the prevailing formula does not benefit really needy persons, with all its privileges corralled by a creamy layer instead. Even more boldly, he urges Rahul Gandhi to take the lead in dismantling this dysfunctional system, which may have bolstered the boundaries of caste more than the ramparts of equality. Of course his party politics have hitherto been tied to quota expansionism, including by pushing for caste-based reservations in job promotions. Dwivedi's point is that when UPA-III is being talked about, Rahul should show Congress has the courage to replace failed, illusory policies with future-oriented instruments of justice.

The Celerio will be pitched against the likes of Hyundai's Grandi10 and Honda's Brio, whose automatic versions are priced at Rs 6.04 lakh and Rs 6.19 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
According to MSI, the Celerio will offer a fuel efficiency of 23.1 km per litre and will be offered in six petrol variants - four with Manual transmission and two with Auto Gear Shift.

TATA DOCOMO postpaid net connection with rs 350 plan not working

This is complaint..
Its been a month since I started using TATAT DOCOMO postpaid connection with rs 350 plan, which promises me 1GB 3G internet + 2G unlimited internet. But as soon I took the connection I realised that TATA DOCOMO internet connets once, stays on for 30 minutes and after that disconnects. It doesnt connect back for the entire day(How many ever times you try). The next day I either have to switch off/on or Remove/Reinsert my SIM to connect the internet back again. I have raised several complaints with Tata Docmo Customer Care regarding this. so Keep turning off/on the data to reconnect back and occasionally try switch off/on also". I am tired of turning off/on my data connection on my Samsung Galaxy Mobile. My question is when TATA DOCOMO can't provide the service promised, why should I pay their postpaid bill? I feel cheated by this geasture of TATA DOCOMO. Please provide me valuable suggestion to file a Consumer Complaint regarding the same.

But no any improvement..

On the top of Signal Strength bar it is Showing "Signal Lock". Do I have to take the STB to Hathway office to unlock? Please advice. My STB signal strength is 65 all the time...

Missed Calls from Pakistan Scam

Guys,

Recently I've been getting missed calls from certain international numbers in the middle of night .. its 00:46 and Just had a missed call from +30535569999 .. previously have had missed calls from +23222288985

Dont wanna call back these numbers as I'm sure its from no one that I know .. looks like some sort of scam when Googled for these numbers

Anyone experienced such calls .. ?
