Frequent Disconnection / ADSL blinking Issue on MTNL Broadband Posted: 29 Jan 2014 02:17 AM PST Hi, I am a user of 849NU plan of MTNL Triband service since August based out of Navi Mumbai. All of August, i was very happy to have a lovely connection and good speeds, with a pretty good tariff. But now since the past 15 days I am suffering from very intermittent net connection. Although I am connected to the internet, sometimes the webpages take ages to open, and never open, while at other times it opens instantly. Also downloading has the same pattern, sometimes I get very good speeds of upto 200 Kbps, while other times there is no download. Although all download sites show good Triband Speed, but it is the intermittent connection that is the problem. This problem has crept up in the last 15 odd days, and I have tried everything but no change has been noticed. Has anyone else faced a similar problem, and if yes, whats the work around. The people at MTNL classify this as a slow connection problem, but that is exactly not the issue, as I do get good speeds intermittently. Somebody please help me.

Talks are on with Vodafone and is confirmed by TATA group spoksperson   i am a docomo customer and felt that company was not at all bothered about caring customer issues and network consistency. Network performance has gone down to the core and company is only interested in getting bill payments on time and pulling more and more prepaid customer.   i dont know how vodafone would manager overlapping of 2G and 3G licenses

AIRTEL changed my PLAN without approval Posted: 29 Jan 2014 12:49 AM PST I was using Aitel Swift 999 (2Mbps/ 512kbps, 75GB FUP). Now without any request they have increased my rental from 1050 to Rs. 1350 (+Tax). It seems they are forcing all the retention plan users to pay more now..   I had the 999 plan (without FUP) but when they forced everybody to come under FUP & speed dips they offered me the plan. Now again they have increased the rental by Rs. 300/- after increasing it last year by Rs. 50/-   My total outgo after Tax would be close to Rs. 1500/- now.   Once again I had a heated argument with customer care & even retention team, but they are saying its due to TRAI notice which allows them to increase the rental without customer approval. I've asked them to send me the copy which I am sure will never get from them. Every time this is the same Modus Operandi where they give the excuse of TRAI notification & blaming TRAI for customers misfortune....   Anybody else had their plans changed like this..

EVDO Upload Speed Posted: 28 Jan 2014 11:46 PM PST I have just purchased one EVDO modem and opted for the 750 UL Plan. My download speed when using Internet Download Manger is about 60 KBps. But when I try to upload using Filezilla the speed is nearly 8-10 KBps and there are frequent disconnections. How can I improve upload speed? I need at least 30 KBps. I use Windows 7 (32-bit) or Windows Vista (64-bit).

I had seen cable laying in as remote places of saarnath temple, Ganga ghat in banaras. AMD Opteron A1100 Posted: 28 Jan 2014 07:35 PM PST AnandTech Portal | It Begins: AMD Announces Its First ARM Based Server SoC, 64-bit/8-core Opteron A1100   Around 15 months ago, AMD announced that it would be building 64-bit ARM based SoCs for servers in 2014. Less than a month into 2014, AMD made good on its promise and officially announced the Opteron A1100: a 64-bit ARM Cortex A57 based SoC. The Opteron A1100 features either 4 or 8 AMD Cortex A57 cores. There's only a single die mask so we're talking about harvested die to make up the quad-core configuration. My guess is over time we'll see that go away entirely, but since we're at very early stages of talking about the A1100 there's likely some hedging of bets going on. Each core will run at a frequency somewhere north of 2GHz. The SoC is built on a 28nm process at Global Foundries. Each pair of cores shares a 1MB L2 cache, for a total of up to 4MB of L2 cache for the chip. All cores share a unified L3 cache of up to 8MB in size. AMD designed a new memory controller for the Opteron A1100 that's capable of supporting both DDR3 or DDR4. The memory interface is 128-bits wide and supports up to 4 SODIMMs, UDIMMs or RDIMMs. AMD will be shipping a reference platform capable of supporting up to 128GB of Registered DDR3 DIMMs off of a single SoC. Also on-die is an 8-lane PCIe 3.0 controller (1 x8 or 2 x4 slot configurations supported) and an 8-port 6Gbps SATA controller. AMD ensured me that the on-chip fabric is capable of sustaining full bandwidth to all 8 SATA ports. The SoC features support for 2 x 10GbE ports and ARM's TrustZone technology.
