Dear all 

               i am reliaince net user  and i am not been able to connect to relaince broad band from more then 15 days

i have given lots of complain regarding the same but still it is not started and what more worst is that they even dosconnected there toll free number 180030007777 with which we use to call relaince for launching complain i have tryed calling them from other number but they r not giving resones please help me regarding the same 

Wifi not connecting on Mobile phone

I have a MTNL wifi router, I am unable to connect to wifi on my mobile phone, both android as well as iphone, however the wifi connects to the laptop and works fine.

 

I have tried all possible solutions, like resetting the router, factory resetting the phone but the problem remains unresolved.

 

Does anybody knows a solution to the problem? Pls help

The instruction from the MNS chief asked party workers and people to "oppose" and "attack" if asked to pay toll tax in Maharashtra.
"If there is any instance just crush the toll nakas. If there is a traffic jam let it be, let the situation take its own course. Do not not bother just don?t pay toll in any of the toll booths," Raj told PTI.
Following the attacks on the toll booth, security has been strengthened across the state.

When will BSNL launch new broadband plans?

hi Guys,

 

Its frustrating that BSNL is yet to launch truly unlimited 1/2/4 Mbps plans for < 1500Rs. Its perpetually offering 512Kbps speeds from last 4-5 years. Not only that, they are not even offering speed boost say after 6pm like MTNL does. Its not only about downloading torrents. Even if i want to watch Youtube files, I am not able to with 512kbps. They should start offering speed boost to 2/4Mbps at 6pm to 8am slot if offering the same at daytime is not possible. What can we do in this situation ? Can we all raise a CRM ticket at selfcare portal to demand this ?

Hello Everybody

Airtel did a exhibition in our apartment yesterday on Airtel 4G LTE.
We ordered an Airtel 4G LTE USB Dongle yesterday in it.

The price which was offered to us was Rs 2499 with 6 month 999 plan which offers 9GB per month.
Here is the speed i got in a demo shown to us in my Laptop.

I was really astonished to see such high speed in "our country" for such a price and that too via a wireless solution.
I can understand that the offered bandwidth cap is very much small for such a speed, but even then the speed which Airtel offered was really amazing.
The Airtel gut assured me that they would maintain 10 MBps as minimum speed in the course of time.

I need one clarification from experts in this forum on a moment which made me awestruck.
We can easily get rated speed inside our country when we point speedtest.net to Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai servers.
But the speedtest meter hit back to 40 MBps instantly even if i point to a server which is located in USA.
How can that be possible, please explain me guys.
As i haven't seen more than 4MBps against a USA server in our country.

But the poor Huawei USB Dongle used software compression and modulation.
Because of that my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 13" Laptop brought to it's knees when i try to watch a Full HD Video in Youtube.
It is certainly not because of playing a Full HD Video in my Laptop created such an impact.

Reliance GSM 3G settings

Hello,

I just ported into reliance from bpl and the only reason for porting was for 3g and sadly i havent got that to work. Could you please provide me with settings of 3g, i am a postpaid suscriber. Will be using on my iphone 4. I tried rcomnet and smartinet as the APN but i get an error in safari saying "could not activate cellular data network" "you are not subscribed to a cellular data service'. Called the CC helpline as well he told me to keep rcomnet as the APN and restart the phone. It didnt work. Called up once again and the other guy sent me settings through sms which dont work in an iphone. I even left all fields blank as you are to do on vodafone even that didnt work. Would some one kindly let me know the settings. Thanks in advance

Telecommunication companies buying airwaves in an Indian auction next month will pay 5 per cent of their revenue as an annual fee, a ministerial panel decided on Monday, a move that means lower payments for bigger carriers Bharti Airtel and the Indian unit of Vodafone.
The move scraps the 3-8 percent fee range the country currently levies in an effort to coax previously reluctant operators into taking part in India's third attempt at auctioning two frequency bands for billions of dollars.
The new rate is higher than the 3 per cent flat rate suggested by an independent sector regulator, which had proposed abolishing the current levy of five different rates depending on the quantum of spectrum held by a carrier.

The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it. "Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away."

Andhra Pradesh High Court to decide whether Google is liable for content posted by users on their blogging platform

An appeal in the Supreme Court by Google against an Andhra Pradesh High Court's dismissal of its petition in a 2009 defamation case comes up for another hearing on Monday.
The original lawsuit was brought against Google by Visaka Industries, a Secunderabad-based asbestos cement sheets manufacturer that claimed an organisation called the Ban Asbestos Network India posted a blog that was specifically defamatory to the manufacturer, using Google's blogging service.
Visaka named Gopal Krishna, the convenor of BANI for his July 2008 blogpost in its lawsuit and claimed Google too was liable as the blog was hosted on its network.
While this latest hearing, the eighth listing, according to the Supreme Court's website, will likely be one of many more to come, "the outcome of the case will affect all search engines, social media sites, blogs, online retailers and news sites to some extent," said Prashant Mali, president of Cyber Law Consulting (Advocates & Attorneys).

PremjiInvest, the private investment venture of billionaire Azim Premji, is investing $15-20 million in Myntra.com, one of India's biggest online clothing and footwear retailers.
This will be the first online retail investment out of the $1 billion corpus at PremjiInvest, which has previously invested in traditional retail ventures like ethnic retailer Fabindia and Trent Ltd, the retail arm of Tata Group.

Controlling speed/bandwidth on MTNL

I am currently on a 8Mbps plan with a FUP of 28 Gb.

 

I feel I will exhaust this FUP quite easily.

 

I am wondering , if there is any way to limit the download speed when NOT required ?  For example 2 Mbps would be good enough at many times.

 

When I am in need of more speed (download movies etc)  , I can set it back to 8Mbps .

 

Whats the best way to do this ? Is it possible in modem settings ?

Replacement remote for IPTV

hi guys,

has anyone bought a replacement remote for IPTV through ebay or someplace. I do NOT need TV remote functionality - only IPTV stb functionality.

 

I see couple of brands selling universal remotes (like Earthma, MEPL,etc.), but I dont know how to make sure that they are compatible with the set top box. Anyone have experience in this ?

 

My current remote is not working very well and airtel is making it difficult for me to buy a replacement remote.

Latest rumors indicate that Samsung would push Google to incorporate TouchWiz features in Android. Some of the features would be made available for free. Others would become paid offerings. Google might end up discontinuing the Nexus line. Focus would switch to Google Play editions which means you would get mediocre user experience on stock Android devices. Motorola might become a victim too as Samsung does not seem to like what they are doing. Samsung is also reportedly shutting down their Tizen project to focus completely on Android for their smartphones.

The only thing official is that Google and Samsung have signed a 10 year long patent sharing deal.

hi members,

 

my mtnl modem dm 856 W reboot when i connect with mobile .

the configuration and what i did is as follows :

 

1.  change channel auto -> 11 ( as given in some forum)

2.  wifeless mode -> 802.11b+g  (as given in some forum)

3.  change my DHCP lease time to 172800 ( as given is some fourm)

4.   download wificonnection manager from android forum. ( by the way my mobile is karbonn A7+ with android ver .2.3.6 kernel ver. 2.6.38.6-perf

5.  This tipical problem never work for the laptop, it run smoothly. but when i connect with mobile it start rebooting.

6. I even try wireless mac address filter and test this with allow association But it always connect and reboot.

7.  after endnumber of times rebooting my phone and modem if came to know that it connect to modem and stay there, but if i start browsing then it reboots.

8. please anyone help !!! is this the problem with modem !! yes one more thing i went to my friend place he is using netgare modem there it works fine without and drooping . please help. MTNL engg are clueless and they are giving suggession as some body giving to 1 class student . like reboot the modem . check your phone. like that . please help.

Pls Help! How to automate Hathway 24 online cyberoam login?

I use hathway broadband  in pune PCMC region. when ever i try to access internet, 24 online page popups and asks for a login page. I actually setup wireless router(static IP) and use internet in lappy, mobile and PS3.

 

Problem is i'm unable to use internet continuously. After successful login, net works for sometime and logs out. This is frustrating. To resume, again i need to login through lappy or my mobile. 

 

I tried Auto Hathway Authentication & Hathway login apps but could not succeed.

Android Tablet in 7-8K range

So need recommendation for someone for an Android Tablet in 7-8k range

 

a) Size - no restrictions

b )  USB support - Needed for data transfer

c) 3G - Dongle or SIM both options can be considered.

 

Purchase would be in Mid-feb or early March. Or earlier, if a good deal is found. Need help in narrowing down from the plethora of ones available in the market.
