Thought I would start another thread for people who have actually used this service to describe their experience.

They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me.

I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them.

So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated.

Hi guys,

 

Im trying to assign some macro's in excel to Hyperlinks in the sheet.  The code works only for the 1st hyperlink I enter.  I have tried 2 codes, both works for the cell F7.

Aircel data plan didn't work with other allied network in roaming

Aircel delhi is good, data plan are also good,but the problem is that in roaming to west UP most of towers are closed there.Idea is the roaming partner in west up.Data plan don't work in roaming with idea.What is the use of this type of roaming...

hello,

i am old customer of Vodafone in maharashtra circle,

now i am relocating to another state....

i have a 249 voice + 850 3G plan at present...

i would like to retain the connection and use the 3G plan on my phone as a second SIM...

but as i was told there are NO 0 rental plans in my home circle at present.

so what would be the best future course for me...

should i disconnect or ask for retention plan for 0 rental....

i am interested to have this number permanently with me...

 

 

any ideas???

As a big movie buff, I download lots of movies. And it is very irritating when you don't have internet that doesn't provide you with consistent proper speed. Tikona never gave such problems. From the day of installation the connection has been awesome! Good speed, uninterrupted connection and unlimited surfing and download... Really enjoy the downloads at a very good speed and that to at a very reasonable price! Have nothing more to expect from them... Happy and Satisfied!

How to get a passbook for your ICICI Bank Savings Account?

I have to admit, I have no idea. This has been my experience…

ICICI Bank recently mailed me that they were no longer going to send paper statement by postal mail.

I have two options. I can either make do with emailed statements. Or I can apply for a passbook. About the passbook, the email clearly said:


You can also ask for a pass book at your nearest branch.


Today, I decided to give it a go. I went to my 'nearest branch' (Sector 31 Market Gurgaon) to get a passbook for my savings bank account. I was told that there were some technical problems and only this branch right now was not able to provide passbooks to customers. I was told to visit any other branch where I could get a passbook on the spot.

I decided to take it one step further. I went to another branch of ICICI Bank (Civil Lines Gurgaon). There I was told that I can only get a passbook from the branch where I have my account.

I decided to do exactly that. I went to the branch where my account was located (Sector 14 Gurgaon). Was told… I can leave the application and come back after a week or so to collect my passbook. I was not amused by this. I asked for more details. Was told that only the home branch has the powers to update my passbook so I would have to deal with them.

Not exactly what ICICI Bank indicated in their initial mail.

I did the next best thing. I applied to transfer my account from that branch to the one nearest to my home.

This process would take three days. The bank representative at the local branch had told me that it would take them at least 2 weeks to start distributing passbooks again.

So well… The waiting begins.

To Avoid 40 Mins disconnection Use Photon-3G connection & FRC-299

To avoid disconnection I purchased new Photon 3G Prepaid SIM.   It connects in 1st attempt.

I am getting more than 5 hours constant connection. Will put a screenshot of my connection session.

Using this SIM in Samsung Galaxy Core, Huawei wingle E8231 / E8131.

Note: This is a 3G connection and not a CDMA / EVDO connection. 
Voice calling facility is not available after Rs.299/- FRC.

BSNL very Big Upload Speed.

I happened to visit an internet center, i had to upload some files to an online storage/file sharing website. So, i tried  uploading that pretty small file and it happened in no time.

 

It showed upload speeds as Big as 500KBps, whereas at my home i get 80KBps at max. How has BSNL began to provide such a large speeds? Any idea.

 

Probably FTTH? Oh no... or Sat Internet?

hi Guys,

 

Its frustrating that BSNL is yet to launch truly unlimited 1/2/4 Mbps plans for < 1500Rs. Its perpetually offering 512Kbps speeds from last 4-5 years. Not only that, they are not even offering speed boost say after 6pm like MTNL does. Its not only about downloading torrents. Even if i want to watch Youtube files, I am not able to with 512kbps. They should start offering speed boost to 2/4Mbps at 6pm to 8am slot if offering the same at daytime is not possible. What can we do in this situation ? Can we all raise a CRM ticket at selfcare portal to demand this ?

Hi Guys,

 

I have recently shifted to the Rajakilpakkam area, Chennai. Was desperately looking for an ISP. Airtel did not have cables, I am not  a great fan of BSNL due to to my past experiences, so rejected that. Finally got to know about a new ISP by the name VIBRANTNET (www.vibrantnet.in). I was using Wi-Fi (FTTH) when I used to stay in Medavakkam, the plans provided by this guy matches the same as Wi-Fi, checked with the Sales guy and came to know that these guys have taken over from Wi-Fi. 

 

I am left with no choice, but I am still confused if I can go for this. I have opted for 4Mbps plan (Rs. 3454 for 3 months + 750 Reg Fee + Tax). The Sales guy has promised to come back within 3 days for the installation. Can someone suggest please?

Slow speed without Touching FUP

I am on ULD 800 plan . According to this I should get 6gb at 1mbps and then 512kbps FUP . 
But I noticed that I have crossed only 5.5 gbs and my speed is capped to 512 kbps . I am getting 60KBPS on IDM and torrents.

How does cash back work on virtual credit card?

Hi,

 

I wish to take advantage of the 10% cash back offer that's being offered on Amazon for SBI credit cards. The thing is I don't have an SBI CC, so I want to generate a virtual CC from my SBI account.

 

Now a virtual CC expires after 48 hours, but the cash back will be credited to my card only after about 2 months. I want to know how this will work out. Will the cash back go to my SBI savings account from where I created the VCC or will it never happen since the card expired?

 

Anybody know anything about cash back after card expiry?
