AAP want Delhi Police to come under state government control

Posted: 16 Jan 2014 03:02 AM PST

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas stressed the need for Delhi Police to be brought under the jurisdiction of the state government. Delhi Police are at present under the jurisdiction of the union government.
"Delhi Police should be brought under the state government. This is an old demand of ours, so the chief minister and central government should make an effort," Vishwas said.
He said that since Delhi Police remain under the central government, they cannot work properly.
Demanding a home minister at the state level, Vishwas said: "If any such incidents happen in Delhi, there should be a home minister, so that he can look after the Delhi affairs. It otherwise becomes a long affair which includes contacting and consulting the centre."

Center already has control over the military. Not sure why cops are under their control too.

I find the American system interesting. They have regular cops. Then they have marshals. And then they have sheriffs. And of course the FBI, the NSA, the CIA and others!

Need advice

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Apparently the gamepad accessory for the Galaxy S4 support devices as large as 6.3 inches. So, the rumor in the market is that Note3 might feature a display as large. lol.

I think they should have added support for 8" devices so that the recently launched Note 8.0 would have worked with this!

Reliance Jio Infocomm to bid for mobile spectrum!

Airtel, Idea, RCom plunge upto 6.6% as Reliance Jio raises 2G auction bar - The Economic Times
Telecom stocks slide as RIL joins the race for spectrum auction | Business Standard

Reliance Jio Infocomm joined top telcos Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular in applying to bid for spectrum in auctions beginning February 3, setting the stage for a grand fight, especially in the 900 Mhz band.
By getting the spectrum, Reliance Industries would be able to launch basic mobile phone services along with its yet-to-be launched 4G venture.

RIL will join Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular as well as the local units of Vodafone Group PLC and Telenor ASA in bidding for bandwidth in the auction in February. The government aims to raise at least Rs 11000 crore through two sets of auctions, one for a national service and another for a portion of bandwidth in Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata, collectively home to over 32 million Indians.
RIL will bid to operate both nationally and in the three cities. A successful bid would mark the company's re-entry into the phone business after spinning-off its cellphone unit Reliance Communications in 2005, to brother Anil Ambani, as part of the division of the business empire built by their late father, Dhirubhai Ambani.

Admin, get ready to add new section in Mobile Services :D

3D Glasses that would work in movie theaters!

Posted: 16 Jan 2014 12:13 AM PST

Recently watched 'Avatar-Special edition' at Big Cinema,TGIP Noida. Very bad expirence. Screen was so small, goggle was so inconvenient to wear and in bad shape(scratches and all). Picture looked almost black and white. Ruined my day. Believe me, it was many-many times worse than what i see on Blu-ray rip 720p on my LCD.

I Watched Life of Pi yesterday at TGIP, 3D effects are awesome, but as you said, their 3D glasses was really in bad shape, they also gave cleaning wipe for glasses, but still not Good.
Ruined the movie..
Next time, i'll bring my own glasses..
