Pings fluctuate while testing speed or watching youtube videos Posted: 10 Dec 2013 03:03 AM PST Hello Members, Need a solution for this problem. I used to ping www.google.com to check BSNL broadband stability. But recently i have noticed the pings get fluctuates while testing broadband speed or watching youtube videos. It seems like i am putting stress on broadband through testing speeds or watching videos. The same thing i have done on DreamTel broadband,Punjab & the pings runs smoothly without fluctuations. Can anyone tell where is the exact problem? Thanks!! PS: I am using BSNL`s BBG-B250-MONTHLY_R

I would like to hear from someone who owns a business and has tried a booster for better coverage in their office or shop or godown? i am asking this question because,boosters currently being used are expensive and 90% are imported from china..Not that they are bad..but i was thinking..what if they are made locally and the technology is made avaliable at cheaper rates...me and few of my friends are giving this a serious thought..about developing something.

Dasmunsi had been admitted to the hospital following a heart attack last month. He shall continue to hold the rank of a Minister in the Cabinet, but without portfolio. Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma will assist the Prime Minister in handling the I&B Ministry's affairs. Sharma had been asked to take additional charge as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting on October 18, 2008. A communiqué was issued by President Pratibha Patil to this effect on the advise of Dr Singh, which said the PM will hold charge "during the period of indisposition of Dasmunsi or till such time he is able to resume his work as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting." General Enquiry placed for Tata Docomo Broadband Posted: 10 Dec 2013 01:50 AM PST So, I requested a call back asking details of plans and feasibility in two close by locations including my current residence. Have got calls thrice, once they even promised to send sales executive but no one turned up. The other call said they will check feasibility at both locations and call back. The third one just took my details and said will call back.    All this is the past week or so. Lets see how this goes.

Horrible Customer Service Posted: 10 Dec 2013 01:41 AM PST In a city like Bangalore, where people live on  rented flats installation of new connection is of similar importance as the transfer of connection. ACT being a very sales focused team, they casually avoid providing services to customer. Recently I have moved to a new place and have applied for the transfer of connection . I raised my request of transfer by a call to customer care on November 14. I was asked to state address so that ACT team will verify the location and feasibility in addition to owner's permission and hence will be liable of collection the transfer amount. Transfer amount was collected on 16th Nov. After two long weeks I did not receive any follow ups from ACT. After me following up on my request, a person called me saying he will be fixing the box. I took leave from office and stayed back waiting for the guy, he came and said that he only wanted to verify building.  Second day a different person came to fix the box which also didn't require my presence, but I was asked to come down from office. I had to take permission from owner for fixing the box(This should have been done by ACT team prior to collecting money) After taking two consecutive leaves from office, my request is still unresolved. Now when I escalated the issue, I am given point of contact as Harish who had assured me of resolving my request yesterday as he agreed on the delay in resolving request. In spite of all the assurances received request remains unresolved till now. When I follow up with him today, he comes up with a reason stating some permission issues. Should I be happy or satisfied to hear such reasons on my follow ups?

My experience with ACT BB Posted: 10 Dec 2013 01:29 AM PST Feedback whether positive or negative should be passed to the appropriate person. That's what I believe in.   This is the timeline of how my installation experience has been with ACT BB.   11 Nov-2013 - I applied for a new ACT BB connection today in Kundanahalli Gate, Bangalore. I will keep you posted on the developments.    11-Nov-2013 - Cheque payment made to Sales executive, Babu Reddy, details filled on form and submitted to him. ETA - 3 days for wiring and connection to be activated. 12-Nov-2013 - I got a call from ACT technician today that cabling would be done by end of the day. Got a confirmation call from Customer Care at 1543 hrs, IST today that connection will be activated in 2 days. So far, so good.   12-Nov-2013 - At 1616 hrs, IST I receive a call from Mukund who is the ACT technician saying that the wiring has been completed to my apartment on the third floor and i would be receiving a call today at 1700 hrs, IST for username and password. Mukund confirms that I can use my internet connection from tonight. I would term this as awesome service from an installation perspective, although I would have to wait and watch how stable the connection is post installation. 12-Nov-2013 - Cabling has been completed and just received the credentials for my broadband account at 2059 hrs, IST through email and the registered mobile number. A confirmation call was made from the customer care before the account got activated.I am still out, so I gotta go and check how the connection is. Speed test shows rocking upload and download speeds. I am on Act Force plan. 12-Nov-2013 1159, IST - First level checks indicate amazing speeds with YouTube where I can watch videos without buffering in Full HD. I will keep posting various workloads I consider to be bandwidth intensive and would update this thread.   Any downtime or disconnections will also be reported.

ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews Posted: 10 Dec 2013 12:47 AM PST Hello Readers, My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband. I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263. Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again. I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week. I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response. Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband 1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in] 2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number. 3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so] 4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them 5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians] 6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time.

I want to configure this router but router WAN port accepts RJ11 cable. And tikona has RJ45 cable. So anybody can suggest solution for this problem? Either way, it is a brilliant marketing ploy. Fans want to see the Big G in a serious American movie. That campy 1998 version starring Ferris Bueller won't cut it. Director Gareth Edwards has promised Godzilla will be what fans are craving. Like Christopher Nolan did with the Dark Knight trilogy. If you dig hard enough, there might be a trailer still up. What was there, however, featured destruction — busted trains, debris everywhere, holes in buildings. The majority of the trailer's audio is J. Robert Oppenheimer's speech about the creation of the atomic bomb with this part standing out: "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." Of course during this time we see monster arms and legs and finally, Godzilla shouts his signature roar at the end. A second trailer shows soldiers parachuting out of a plane to fight back against the mythical beast. Again, this trailer is serious stuff. You'll have to dig to find this one as well.
