Frequent Disconnection / ADSL blinking Issue on MTNL Broadband

Hi,

I am a user of 849NU plan of MTNL Triband service since August based out of Navi Mumbai.

All of August, i was very happy to have a lovely connection and good speeds, with a pretty good tariff.
But now since the past 15 days I am suffering from very intermittent net connection.
Although I am connected to the internet, sometimes the webpages take ages to open, and never open, while at other times it opens instantly. Also downloading has the same pattern, sometimes I get very good speeds of upto 200 Kbps, while other times there is no download. Although all download sites show good Triband Speed, but it is the intermittent connection that is the problem.
This problem has crept up in the last 15 odd days, and I have tried everything but no change has been noticed.

Has anyone else faced a similar problem, and if yes, whats the work around. The people at MTNL classify this as a slow connection problem, but that is exactly not the issue, as I do get good speeds intermittently.

Somebody please help me.

MTNL seems to have started new 8Mbps plans recently, dint see any thread discussing about it here.

Help with TP-Link router on Beam FIber

Hello!

 

I recently bought TP-Link TL-WA901ND for using in my home.

I have 2 problems.

 

1 - The Wi-Fi connects but after 5-20 minutes , it disconnects automatically and i have to write the username and password again and again.. What should I do?

 

2 - Even though I connect the router correctly , I am still not able to get to the configuration page of the router.. What do I do here?

Before I was thinking that this is temporary.

Help! Need a reliable broadband connection

Place: Velachery, Chennai

Usage: Browsing, regular Skype video calls with my relatives in the US

 

Have moved to a new street recently. BSNL said they don't have wired connection for this street. A neighbor has Airtel dat card but he says speed is low. What are my other options? Can I get a good broadband connection at a budget of Rs 200-500 per month? I see options like wired, data card, 3G SIM etc, but am not sure which would be the most reliable, less costly option for my usage.

 

It would be great if the forum members here can help me with my requirement.

Fed up with less number of channels and the recent issue with the Star World Premier channel I am planning to move to Videocon D2H as my megapack is about to expire in couple of days. But the DVR costs around INR 8000 and annual pack costs around INR 6000 which does not include south channels as I am in Western India. I have to pay extra for these south Indian channels. Do you think it is worth it spending INR 8000 more for couple of extra channels? Is the quality better than TataSky?

Apparently the gamepad accessory for the Galaxy S4 support devices as large as 6.3 inches. So, the rumor in the market is that Note3 might feature a display as large. lol. 

 

I think they should have added support for 8" devices so that the recently launched Note 8.0 would have worked with this!

Latency Problem on Beam Tele Broadband

Recently i use Beamtele broadband in Hyderabad,but in these few days,the latency of the network is very high.the high latency value make me cant play online games anymore.so i am planning to swith to Airtel.

So,is anyone can help me test the latency using airtel broadband?thanks a lot.

the IP address is 203.73.22.1(server is located at Taiwan).

if the ping value is around 100ms,i will switch to airtel immediately.

winrar how to change destination folder ?

when i am adding bunch of files to  winrar archive it happens to make the final rar file in the same folder where all files are at.

So after a year and a half on Vodafone, I'm going back to Airtel cause of better network and 3G speeds.
My number is actually in my mother's name so I wanted to ask that is it possible for me to port and get the number registered in my name?
It's an old number I took when I was I school. Now want to transfer it in my own name.
