What does it mean in BSNL Broadband Combo Plan Free Calls(with in BSNL n/w)

In NCR SSAs (only in Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon & Noida), available free calls under combo plans are offered as 50% calls within BSNL N/w and 50% calls to other N/w w.e.f. 01-04-2013.

Hi i'm chetan from hyderabad, 35 days back i contacted local cable operator for cable connection, as per govt rules the cable

operator suggested me to go with Hathway Set Top Box, It was running perfectly till evening of 19 sep 2013. a white background 

unplug power sign displaying " SYSTEM UPDATING, PLEASE WAIT", i thought i was channels updating from local cable distributor,

but the message showing now 21 sep 2013, i contacted distributor he said that the it will al right for some time, but it wasn't. i tried to contact local hathway customer care for more than 24 hrs but i couldn't connect to them for single time. Finally i'm posting here Can Any One Give Solution for HATHWAY set top box problem

Reliance - Most horrible service

Do not know where to start. But, by far this is most horrible experience i am having with reliance broadband thunder plan 549. They claim it is 1mbps plan, but when you open gmail and facebook, it take 5 min to load. And if you are running torrent, then forget about opening gmail and facebook.

 

I took the plan on August 1st week and from very beginning i started experiencing a very slow speed and frequent fluctuation in service. Every now and then net was going down. After several complains, this was improved. But, problem with slow internet experience. Even after calling them several times, they are not resolving the issue. Everytime thay will raise a new ticket and reply , "we will get back in 24 hours"

 

Next thing is there front desk support. The way they will talk to you, as if they are paying for you and you are using the service for free. 2 times they close my ticket without even calling me. I was so frustrated with this pathetic service, so gave a termination request on 28th August. They said, their backend team will call me within 48 hours. And i got a call also, but the guy from other side said "welcome to reliance world and this is a welcome call". After 3 weeks of horrible experience, i got a call saying welcome to reliance world. Do not understand how this company runs and how is coordination between their front end and back end.

 

I am still waiting, when their 48 hour will be over and they will deactivate my account. I will never refer anybody to go with reliance broadband.

Horrible bill payment accounting at BSNL Bhubneshwar

Paid my BSNL bill No.115762731 - 06/09/2013 for my telephone No.06742553002 at the local post office (PIN 751015, Receipt No.B 433 dtd.25-9-13). It has not been accounted for at the BSNL until 2-10-2013 and my Broadband speed has been reduced to 512 kbps from 4 mbps today. My telephone is likely to be disconnected soon. Tried to contact BSNL at 1500 and 165. The IVR choice "connect to a customer care executive" is a blind link, it connects to no one. On 1-10-2013, tried to contact one Mr. S K Sarangi, AO at their Bhubaneswar office on his mobile No.9437967087, he did not pick up. Sent an SMS to him, remained unreplied. Horrific experience.

Hey , i live near saket  (specifically lado sarai area ) . BUDGET is around 1k or so , SPEED  well around 2 mbps would be appreciated .

 

Basically i need enough so i can play online with decent pings (DOTA 2 ) , decent youtube surfing , not much of a download freak , here and there few episodes of season and animes !!

 

Have gone through various plans , forums , reviews and well here are my conclusions : 

 

1 . tikona 2 mbps 999 (no FUP BTW ) :

                                                          I fell on this plan , literally , and then the horror stories of the users in the forums      mad the concentration camps hitler used seem like heaven !!!i contacted them on their  customer care , been 15 days since a demo promise has been made , if such is their response before the connection is given , m not really sure about it now !

 

2 . spectranet : 1199 1.5 mbps : Not much idea , alrt reviews  , 4 days since contacted , awaiting response

 

3 . reliance thunder : 699 2 mbps no fup : just came across it , fell for it , then the reviews at mouthshut shut me up !!! really mixed reviews.

 

Since i live in proper delhi , is it wrong to expect decent connection from all these local isp since in main city we might expect the network to be pretty strong as opposed to the reviews ? any help would be really appreciated , especially people who are living nearby !! 

[BSNL] Need info on full talktime recharge for Maharashtra circle

I have a Maharshtra BSNL number and i want to recharge it using some full talk time recharge. But the BSNL website and the dedicated Maharashtra BSNL website is also not working at all. So i have no idea what plans are here for full talk time and from to rechare since the main website is not working.

Can I use paytm etc websites for doing the talktime recharge ?

Please let me know the full talk time recharges (less than 250 Rs preferred) for BSNL Prepaid Maharashtra circle.

Hathway HD

Seems like Hathway HD had been launched. Enquired with CC and they said that bookings should begin 1st week of Sept. Currently they are only providing demos. Gave me a cell phone number to contact for a demo. CC wasn't helpful beyond that and haven't managed to get through the cell no all day.

Anyone booked the demo? or have any pricing details on the box and/or HD channel list?

Airtel offering more non-advertised plans?

It turns out Airtel CC has been offering non advertised plans off late to customers who  are on high end plans and routinely come close to exhausting their FUP limits. I was offered a 2149 (w/o tax) plan for 8mbps and 125 GB FUP.

 

One of my friends got a 250 GB 8 mbps plan for close to 3K including taxes. 

Hathway coverage in Hyderabad

I just moved to Hyderabad and the community manages their own internet/tv connections from most providers (there is a person dedicated for this in maintenance department). I just inquired about the available choices, which were Hathway, Airtel and Tata, and Hathway seems like the best option for HD TV, if considering the monthly service cost alone. It seems, whether I want HD or not, the monthly price is Rs.200 which includes all the channels. However, the cost of the HD STB is Rs.6500 (compared to Rs.1500 for SD STB), so considering that I will be moving in a few months I would like to consider the coverage in Hyderabad and if it is worth investing that much on a service specific device. Per the maintenance person, Hathway is offered at almost all houses in Hyderabad, but I don't want to take his word for it, especially that it feels like he is "selling" it over others.

Doing PPoE/PPoA configuration makes an uplink bandwidth loses.

I am an BSNL Broadband Limited plan subscriber .

 

I have found that when I configure my Adsl modem to PPoE/PPoA mode it consumes more the uplink bandwidth .So does it so.

Where as now I am using the Bridge Mode.

I can't open speedtest.net. When I try to open it, I get this error. Rest all working fine and downloads too work fine. Just couple of sites are not loading.

ACT broadband Bangalore worst service

I am a customer of ACT broadband for last six months, i opted for 15 Mbps 40 GB plan, from 1st of this month i started experiencing .38-.44 mbps speed, i lodged a complaint and the feedback i received are really funny 

 

1. I utilised 40 GB in four hours of previous day , i don't know whether that is possible by anyone to use- No auto updates are on and i requested them, which website or to which ip the system was connected and used this ? No reply from them 

 

2. Then the customer service executive told, i might have used a router without password, the funniest part is There is no router at my home and i connect the cable directly to one PC 

 

3. I also heard similar issue from my friends, ACT is not a reliable service provider, This is the problem with the unknown brands, you get a grievance redressal .

 

 

I DON'T SUGGEST "ACT BROADBAND" IN BANGALORE FOR ANY ONE LOOKING FOR A NEW BROADBAND CONNECTION

I have moved in with my new friends to a flat. We often end up using your download limits and have to pay to airtel for extra bandwidth. This often results bad understanding when it comes during the month end and our bill arrives.

 

I need a software which will monitor the dowload usage which each device that connects to the modem through wifi does. Is there any software or incase any other modem which will work with Airtel connections and comes with a inbuit options to do it. At the max i will need to monitor 15 devices (the phones, tab and laptops).

 

It enough if the i get the total usage made by each and every device.
