Broadbrand provider alternative Posted: 03 Sep 2013 02:48 AM PDT I m frustrated with in2net no wifi policy.   I m quite pro in networking, i firstly configured my wifi myself with cloned mac id and PPPoE connection only after few weeks to be blocked by their staffs. I asked my local cable provider he told me that I need to ask one of their staff and pay them for fixing it.   I saw what he did was mostly what i did, only thing was he had contacts inside from where he unblocked it (in front of me he called and provided them with my username), I paid him that time. Now again my wifi is blocked, I tried to call that bloke and asked for support that guy straight forward refused to fix it rather told me that i would need to come to my house and fix it (so he can again get paid i guess).   Frustrated by this i m thinking of getting another broadband provider which provides wifi, Please no MTNL as it just does not work for me.   Please suggest, I stay in Bhandup, Gadhav Naka area.   If anybody has alternate plan to fix my wifi even that would do.

Microsoft acquiring Nokia (Devices and Services Divisions) Posted: 03 Sep 2013 02:12 AM PDT Confirmed now.    Nokia Corporation today announced that it has signed an agreement to enter into a transaction whereby Nokia will sell substantially all of its Devices & Services business and licence its patents to Microsoft for EUR 5.44 billion in cash, payable at closing. Nokia expects to book a gain on sale of approximately EUR 3.2 billion, and expects the transaction to be significantly accretive to earnings. Subject to the closing of the transaction, Microsoft will acquire substantially all of Nokia's Devices & Services business, including the Mobile Phones and Smart Devices business units as well as an industry-leading design team, operations including all Nokia Devices & Services production facilities, Devices & Services-related sales and marketing activities, and related support functions. At closing, approximately 32,000 people are expected to transfer to Microsoft, including approximately 4,700 people in Finland. Nokia's CTO (Chief Technology Office) organization and patent portfolio will remain within the Nokia Group. The operations that are planned to be transferred to Microsoft generated an estimated EUR 14.9 billion, or almost 50%, of Nokia's net sales for the full year 2012.  Additionally, Microsoft will become a strategic licensee of the HERE platform, and will separately pay Nokia for a four year license. This revenue stream is expected to substantially replace the revenue stream HERE is currently receiving from Nokia's Devices & Services business internally. A bench of Chief Justice Altamas Kabir and Justices A R Dave and Vikramjit Sen issued notice on Kamlesh Vaswani's petition saying existing laws had failed to prohibit proliferation of internet pornography and alleged that it was affecting the younger generation and resulting in increasing sexual assaults on women.   Appearing for the petitioner, senior advocate M N Krishnamani said the government urgently needed to take pro-active steps to block all pornographic websites as they were affecting the "peace of mind, health and wellness, happiness and human potential".   Source

Weird Mtnl plan change problem :( Posted: 03 Sep 2013 12:17 AM PDT mtnl says they changed my plan 22 aug but still the selfcare portal shows my old plan nor I am getting the speeds which I was supposed to get from my new plan   I even emailed them screenshots of the selfcare portal and speedtest results but still they are saying my plan has been already changed, how dafuq can I know which plan I am using ?   And calling those clueless mtnl aunties is worthless

Tata DOCOMO INTERNET APN does not work most of the times Posted: 02 Sep 2013 09:57 PM PDT Hi, since last month I've been using internet booster card on my android mobile with TATA DOCOMO number. When I put the sim first time in the mobile I received three APN settings, one for browsing their portal which is Tata Docomo Dive In, one for MMS and one for all other activities which is Tata Docomo Internet. But most of the time my mobile is not able to connect to the Tata Docomo Internet APN which is for general propose, but some times when it does connects i get good speed and able to access internet normally. But I can connect to the other APN Tata Docomo Dive In without a problem which is for accessing their portal but with Tata Docomo Dive In setting I'm not able to access internet through any apps like facebook, opera mini, maps and etc. I tried calling customer care but it turned out to be no use I think Docomo is trying to cheat people by offering cheap net plans which is of no use... Any solutions??? Or anyone else facing such problem?

It was an impressive return to the team for Alonso as he put in 70 laps with a best time of 1:19.503s. It was a busy day for the McLaren Mercedes team with de la Rosa putting in 111 laps in his MP4-23 while Kovalainen sixth fastest, completed 130 laps in the new machine. Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa were third and fifth fastest respectively for Ferrari with Nico Rosberg running well in his FW29 with the fourth fastest time. Sebastian Vettel and Sebastien Bourdais proved closely matched for Toro Rosso Ferrari with the seventh and eighth fastest times while Mark Webber was ninth best in the Red Bull Renault.
