To make things worse there was an electric pole adjacent and flames were touching the wire. So I called up 101 from my mobile to inform about the fire. Guess what was the reply. "aapki call Delhi fire service mein aayi hai. Noida ke liye local number se call karo". Fire is an emergency should it be handled this way? |

EVERYDAY I mean seriously Everyday Net is down and it doesnt even come back till we call customer care. But again after one day the same continues. Seriously These ASSH**ES are just fraud !I cant even work i mean icant even access the Reliancebroadband.co.in for login. Whenever i try to login it say webpage cannot be displayed. I live in Dattawadi,Pune so my question is Is there any good internet with No FUP and Good Speed like 100-500 kbps download speed. My budget is till 1200.

My mom is Tata Docomo CDMA (Tata Indicom) in Bangalore/Karnataka. We don't have any problems with coverage or tariff so far. We have IDEA, Tata Docomo GSM and Airtel apart from Tata Docomo CDMA. We have visited many places such Tirupati, Chennai etc in which besides Airtel, Tata Docomo CDMA was only operator which was having coverage. I would become surprised by seeing Tata Docomo CDMA's coverage as GSM is widespread and there is option of Tower Sharing in CDMA. I have also not seen any other operator even coming close to call quality when comparing with Tata Docomo CDMA. May be it could be because of the handset too which is Samsung Metro TV bought several years ago. The call would very clear and loud.
Now i am looking to convert the number to a GSM operator to buy her a good phone. Can a GSM operator offer the superior call quality and coverage CDMA Technology offers ?
Even though the topic i am discussing here might be focused, the answer to my question would have broad meaning. So, please share your thoughts on this. |

I was thinking of shifting to a combo plan. What is the procedure for it? Will opting for the combo plan disable the landline plan or will I have to request for that separately? |

| BSNL Broadband: How to Troubleshoot Frequent Disconnection Posted: 28 Sep 2013 12:57 AM PDT 1. Post your SNR and Attenuation values. Table for speed less than 8 Mbps  If your values are bad, ask the line man to give a clean line. Make sure there are no joints or non insulated parts. 2. Make sure all connections come after splitter. Follow this diagram  Bypass the splitter, connect the line directly to the modem and check. 3. Check if splitter or ethernet cable is faulty. Use a spare one and check. 4. If possible get a friend's modem and check. That will confirm if modem is faulty or not. 5. Do you get power reset ? If yes, check modem's power adpater and make sure it is functioning well. 6. Try GDMT mode in modem and check. |

| BSNL broadband: Can't access websites while using a PPPoE connection Posted: 28 Sep 2013 12:22 AM PDT Hi, I got a new BSNL broadband connection last week. I am on NIB 2(ip 117.xxx.xxx.xxx). I am using Type 2 Utstarcom wa3002 router with my connection. The problem that I am facing is, I cant open or access certain sites like microsoft.com, mail.yahoo.com ,icicibank.com, thepiratebay.com etc.. Rest all sites like google,this site etc open normally. What I did to overcome the problem 1).Tried OpenDNS, 4.2.2.2 and all DNS available from BSNL 2). Change the MTU setting to 1492 from 1500 3).Disabling the firewall of the router. But still, there seems to be no change in the problem.When I called up dataone center, they were all acting like noobs telling me to change DNS and stuff like that:ashamed:. When I access the sites via proxy, they work fine and whats more, I downloaded VS 2008 from microsoft(3.3GB) without any problems, cuz I had the direct download link for that. Username. xxxxxxxx@ftth.bsnl.in Password. xxxxxxx Now he said to connect laptop in pppoe mode & enter username & password. The fibre modem provided is AONT 100c. I have a TP-LINK wireless router & want to connect it to internet. Could someone please guide me on how to connect to internet? Thank you!! |

They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me. I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them. So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated. |
| Posted: 27 Sep 2013 10:18 PM PDT recently i got this spectranet connection. They did underground fiber optic cabling and started the service called spectranet FOX in my area. the plan is 12 to 16 mbps for 6 months. looking at the speeds they will provide, i got my airtel BB service discontinued.
I AM HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WITH THE CONNECTION.
1) promised speeds 12-16 mbps ,you never get the promised speeds throughout the day. even right now i am getting just 3-5 mbps. why do ISPs do this? come on! if you dont want to give constant speeds then why the hell do you have to make false promises? when they visit your home for a demonstration, such good marketing skills, overselling their product, promising this and that. but when it comes to the connection, its very poor.
2) its a daily glitch in the connection. from timings 9 pm to 12 pm i always get very low speeds like 1 mbps and very high pings touching 200 ms. i've got to play online games , but with such a pathetic ping im not able to play the games properly. and this is very irritating! and this happens everyday
3) when i had the airtel connection i used to watch alot of youtube, surf internet and the data limit was 8 gb. with these activities not even half of my data limit was used, and around 4-5 gb was left unused per month.seldom, i used to download movies because once the data limit was reached, then speed degraded to 256kpbs(reason to change spectranet ISP). using this connection, in last 1 week the 5 gb of data usage has been shown in my spectranet account(5gb data volume used) i myself have downloaded around 700mb of data THAT'S IT! i can accept even if i had watched 1080p HD videos on youtube, i could accept that i could've consumed data but still cant find what has used 5gb. if it could've been a theft over wi-fi, but whenever i am at home i connect through LAN cable and switch of the wifi service and whenever im not at home i switch off the router. then how come 5 gb of data has been consumed?! and i cant buy this fact that ONLY net surfing at watching videos on youtube would've consumed so much of data. i really find that spectranet is a cheat on this part.
if someone using the same net plans from spectranet and facing the same issues please reply and put forward some solutions to my problem, so as how to get the promised service from my ISP.
