| DND activated at Tata side but de-active on NCPR Posted: 27 Sep 2013 02:57 AM PDT Had given a request for activation of the fully blocked DND service on 5th September and subsequently it was activated by 12th September as per Tata. But then on ncpr portal showed me that on 5th September the DND was de-active. So the goof up began according to Tata they said my DND is fully active and I should not get any call or SMS from telemarketers. But then as the status of DND on ncpr was de-active I continued to get calls and SMS. Even I have received 2 calls from number starting with 140 (which is strict telemarketers only series). I kept on complaining for these messages and calls and Tata kept giving me complaint number. After that I posted my grievance on pgportal and that is when tata woke up to the blunder they made. They straight away offered me a waiver for first bill of Rs. 337. Which I have refused and asked them to compensate for each complaint basis. What do you think guys. I think trai has penalty of Rs 5000 per complaint? |

| Online streaming is not smooth on Reliance Broadband Posted: 27 Sep 2013 02:53 AM PDT Hello,
I apologize if this topic is already discussed.
Installed reliance broadband 2days back, 2Mbps pack.
I get proper speed while torrent download, once i got 10Mbps for a torrent (downloaded a movie-700MB in 34mins.)
Youtube works fine. Can watch 480p videos without any issue.
But when it comes to online streaming (other than youtube), its not at all smooth. Video keeps stuttering all the time, for all video qualities 240,360,480 As i have not disconnected my previous internet connection (BSNL 512kbps ) yet, i tried streaming there. Its smooth for 240p.
Please help me with this.
Is there any software that can help me use the full bandwidth while surfing?

| New Connection,Waiting for 10 days Posted: 27 Sep 2013 02:19 AM PDT Hi, I had requested a new broadband connection more than 10 days back in Hoodi. It is taking more than 10 days to check the feasibility.I know its feasible and there is an ACT box in my apartment and many of my neighbors are using it. Every time when I call a customer care executive, they say they will forward it to the concerned team.But no one has contacted me till now. I spoke to 6-8 customer care executives within this 10 days and all said someone will contact me by the end of the day, but it never happened.Your day never seems to be ending.  I am not sure where to escalate this and none of the customer care executives could connect me to someone where I can raise a complaint. Hope could get some positive response through the forum.

| Frequent Disconnection / ADSL blinking Issue on MTNL Broadband Posted: 27 Sep 2013 02:09 AM PDT Hi, I am a user of 849NU plan of MTNL Triband service since August based out of Navi Mumbai. All of August, i was very happy to have a lovely connection and good speeds, with a pretty good tariff. But now since the past 15 days I am suffering from very intermittent net connection. Although I am connected to the internet, sometimes the webpages take ages to open, and never open, while at other times it opens instantly. Also downloading has the same pattern, sometimes I get very good speeds of upto 200 Kbps, while other times there is no download. Although all download sites show good Triband Speed, but it is the intermittent connection that is the problem. This problem has crept up in the last 15 odd days, and I have tried everything but no change has been noticed. Has anyone else faced a similar problem, and if yes, whats the work around. The people at MTNL classify this as a slow connection problem, but that is exactly not the issue, as I do get good speeds intermittently. Somebody please help me. |
| SC gives voters an option of ' right to reject' Posted: 27 Sep 2013 02:08 AM PDT SC gave this landmark verdict, by giving an option to voters to reject a candidate. SC said its a democratic right of an individual to opt for 'none of the above', if they think that, none of the candidates are worth voting.
I think if more than half the voters opt for 'none of the above', there should be re-election. What are your thoughts on this verdict of SC?

| BSNL Combo 600 Plan Free usage reduced to 750 MB? (August 2013) Posted: 27 Sep 2013 01:18 AM PDT Just logged in to portal to check my usage details for BBG-FN-HOME-600-COMBO-PLUS-MONTHLY_R plan (2.5 GB day usage and night unlimited) and was shocked to see that the free usage instead of showing as 2.5 GB is showing as 750 MB!!! I have used about 970 MB till now so the charged usage is showing as 220 MB! Very shocked and disappointed if BSNL has taken this step which is beyond belief. After waiting for many years, instead of getting a raise in the free usage, it has been reduced to more than one third! If other people are using this plan kindly check your portal account to see if there also it is showing 750 MB? If yes then post here and if it is still 2.5 GB then I suppose there must be some issue with the site. Hope it is still 2.5 GB because 750 MB is a joke! Also people might end up getting huge bills this month if they don't know this. Quite shocked by BSNL's shamelessness as they once again made such a huge change without informing the users!

| Posted: 27 Sep 2013 12:27 AM PDT I have been reliance broadband user since its start in Delhi, India. However, after disconnection they have shown me the colors which I have never imagined of them. This is the worst customer experience I have been offered by RCOM since its inception in Delhi.
Poor Handling of customers by current RCOM team. I have called all the customer care numbers, written e-mails to Reliance broadband and reliance customer carebut no relief only painful days to get my hard earned cash back.
My plight is given below
Date: Saturday, May 04, 2013 01:48 PM After that your representative came to my premises and took away the equipments installed at my house and given slip for this and told us that we will get the refund within 45 days. I have disconnected the reliance broadband connection in the month of March (12-3-2013) due to problems in the internet services provided by RCOM under WIMAX (no signals). However even aftery expiry of 60 days period i have not received my refund amount. However, i have received a bill stating negative balance of Rs.3982.98 (Total Charges on Reliance Internet Service User ID 360198175753). However the amount for refund is allowed w.e.f. 25-03-2013 but i have requested for disconnection w.e.f. 12-03-2013 and your customer care told me that i will be allowed refund w.e.f. 12/13-03-2013. | Posted: 26 Sep 2013 11:55 PM PDT Affordable company and with the good services, you really cannot not go wrong. An ISP should have three important attributes in my opinion. 1. Good support 2. Quality connection 3. Value for money. And Tikona has all those.
Following are my ratings :-
Support - 8 Well organised support and honest with any open tickets and issues. Speed and connectivity - 8 Quite reliable and delivers promised speed. Would have given 10, but faced some issues in the initial phase. Value - 9 Would I recommend? Yes, they are value for money. You get what you pay for... |
| Tikona ISP_ Over all Experience is Good! Posted: 26 Sep 2013 11:53 PM PDT I have been with Tikona for about 4 months now since June 2013; the initial set-up was not smooth. I applied over the phone for a connection with them, and waited two weeks; I received no activity on it. I sent them a follow up e-mail expressing my problem. They then assigned a representative to assist me personally with getting my connection set up and he proved very helpful. My connection was up and running about two weeks later, with some minor issue was faced for few days; but, you know, a bit of shrewdness, initiative and patience on part of the as a customer can make things run a lot smoother. The people I dealt with were overall quite nice and when I explained my issues lucidly, they always fixed them.

But I didn't request any 3G Bill Plan. When I checked my prepaid balance, its showing 4 Rs only when it should be more than 200 Rs. Never go for Airtel, they are a fraud company who likes to cheat customers, and make money. God knows how many people they are cheating like this. Should I go to consumer court? |

| Posted: 26 Sep 2013 01:43 PM PDT I was looking to buy a tablet and saw a Nexus 7 with Wi-Fi and 3G 2013 version at a great price and sorta impulse bought the item. Bad decision. The item was not shipped for 5 days, the scamsters website was blocked by my antivirus and the guy insisted the tab had a sim slot when infact the Cellular version is yet to be launched.
No real damages done financially as the refund has been initiated by the system, apart from losing a week and a half, I guess.
MORAL : Stay away from new sellers, I know some or what the heck most may be legit, but its not worth it. And if something is too good to be true, it probably is. |
