| MTNL ADSL Tp-Link 10 hour MTNL/ADSL session but no internet sometimes Posted: 26 Sep 2013 02:33 AM PDT MTNL 1000 Plan TP Link Router Model No. TD-W8968 Firmware Version: 0.6.0 0.4 v0005.0 Build 130217 Rel.62075n Hardware Version: TD-W8968 v1 00000000
I have been facing this internet disconnection issue for past 8 months.
Solution 1. Changed the router straight way since I thought my D-Link + ADSL modem from MTNL had got spoilt. Got new router TP Link
Nothing happened, still bad internet.
Solution 2. Called MTNL guys, they bundled the 2 core wire from end to end to - 4 core, they merged the 4 wires each and joint them end to end. This was stupid move as this was even worst, as this would not let the ADSL handshake complete and would take ages to even STABLE ADSL Light.
Solution 3, After calling 100 time to mtnl and the visit and calling DMG and GM, the LAZY man sitting in the exchange who is the senior most only told me to change the cable from my house to the out side of my home to the next point of connection in the BOX. Told me he would not do anything untill I change the wire.
I got the wire changed with CAT 6, not even CAT 5, even better.
Nothing changed, still I have bad sessions. and constant disconnections. TP Link PPP LOGS show sessions disconnections The MTNL http://register.mtnl.net.in Site also showed bad sessions. So I was sure that I still had a bad line issue and nothing else.
Solutions 4. Finally I got very angry and I told the idiots to come to my house and then from my house to the next point check it
They checked and ... then they took the wire off the small switch where they clip it inside, re cut there the new CAT 6 and the wire which came and joined them together and re pressed them into the clip >> (This did improve little)
Solution 5 Then I used the internet for a few days and called them again that there is still issue of sessions disconnections. Then finally I made them go to the next point of connection, which was just 1 floor below my house, There was a plastic CAP button in which the 2 wires were joined and they cut off the button and joined the wires directly with TAPE, and DAMMMMM the connection issue was all gone.
Everything was great after that the ADSL and TP Link sessions are perfect 10 hours.
Solution 6 In the middle I also tried to change the ADSL type of connection in modem G,DMT >>> Annex A >> it gave a good result also, but not perfect. ADSL 2 >> also gives better solution better connection if your line is a little bad. your connection improves ADSL 2 Plus >> only if you have the best line and wiring
PROBLEM: So now what is left ??????????? NOWWWW
I still have no internet sometimes. The sessions does not disconnect but there is no internet sometimes, it goes and comes back. (skype/emails/web/google drive all disconnects and comes back/ google drive does not come back on its own, need to restart ) The ADSL light is always on even if there is no internet, so the session is perfect The MTNL has 10 hour perfect sessions
DNS changes tried all dns 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8 59.185.3.12 But nothing stable all have same result now using auto detect dns

| TIKONA PATHETIC CONNECTION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE – FEEL CHEATED Posted: 26 Sep 2013 02:26 AM PDT Hi,
I am a Tikona WiBro internet user (User ID – 1108912680) since last one month (Aug 2013) at Ramamurthynagar, Banglore with a plan of ADULM2048 having paid Rs.3100/- with all useless installation charge etc. I have been introduced to a pathetic internet and customer service a person can dream off through this stupid service.
I must have raised up to 15-20 complaints for the last one month (which was my first month since the installation) ranging from internet speed to internet disconnection problems.
THINK BEFORE TAKING A TIKONA CONNECTION BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING REASON, I EARNESTLY REQUEST YOU TO AVOID THIS FAKE CONNECTION
1. First of all after paying the money to get the internet connection, the technician took his sweet own time of 4-5 days to come and install the connection.
2. Whenever there is a problem with their internet connection, we will have to wait for more than 8-10 minutes to get connected to their toll free customer care service online (1-800 209 4276). After 5 mins of waiting to get connect to the customer care the auto voice keeps repeating that it will connect you within 1 min and goes on and on for more than 10 min to connect you to a customer representative.
3. It also encourages you to call on their STD number (022-61749700) for faster service which also takes the same time (8-10 min) to connect to their customer representative. I wonder who will be paying for STD charges for all the waiting time (10 min) to get connected to their customer representative. And imagine if we have to call them for every 3-4 days with new internet problems each time like mine.
4. Once you are connected to their customer representative he will act to resolve the issue online. He will ask you to wait for more than 3 hrs so that he will try to fix it online from his side. But even after 1 day or more, your issue will not be resolved or neither will they bother to call you. So no internet for that day and no follow up from them on the issue. This shows how junk is their services.
5. Many of the times they give excuses as With regards to your concern, our team member tried to reach you on your registered number but it was not reachable. Really bullshit, when my other callers are able to reach me how is that only Tikona is not able to call me back. How many times have they tried to connect to me?
6. Also, whenever I raised a complaint I was told by their customer representatives that I would get a SMS with the complaint details. Till today I never received any such SMSs from them.
7. Now the next problem is their technicians, who will take more than 1 -2 days to come to your place to fix it. He will come on his own time and priority. Their technicians are ill equipped and don't know how to resolve the issue properly. More than 4 -5 technicians must have visited to my place for more than 9 -10 times to fix various issues within the first month of the installation.
8. One of their technicians told me directly that they get paid for each complaint and visit. Hence they don't fix the issue permanently to get benefit of getting paid for each visit. I did mention about the problem of technicians to the online customer care representative who did not bother much and just told he would escalate this issue. But believe me nothing happened with respect to the technician even after raising such a concern with them and escalation. I came to know that it is all just fake assurance. NO ONE IN THEIR GROUP IS READY TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST FAULTY INDIVIDUALS (TECHNICIANS OR CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVES).
9. For the last one month I must have used their internet connection for 10 days or less effectively. Most of the time it was not working at all or the complaints were pending to be resolved.
10. I have currently requested them to uninstall their idiotic connection, for the following reason which was really extreme. I had raised a complaint (complaint id – 1-2775463813) for installation of longer cable and for internet not working at my place on 31st August 2013. None of their Technicians turned up till date (08-Aug-2013). Imagine no resolution of the issue for almost 1 week. Whenever I called their customer care for almost five times on 07 & 08 Aug 2013, each time they would say that they would escalate the issue and they would call back. Neither the issue was resolved nor a fool visited from their side to correct it.
Now I am just hoping that they will reimburse all my hard earned money that I had paid for their useless and pathetic internet and customer service. |

also is it possible to disable that annoying beamportal login and go back to wifi login and password? i cant even access router admin page.

| reliance netconnect is throttling torrent speed Posted: 26 Sep 2013 02:17 AM PDT I saw this since yesterday. I've been getting 150-170 KBps in idm. But on torrents I'm getting 40-50 max speed. I've tried downloading 2 to 3 different torrents, but I can see definitely speed is throttled. Any idea how to counter that? |

But you need to wait for one more year to see many new channels
We have been adding channels in a phased manner; the process will now be accelerated with the MPEG-4 STB. By June-July next year we should be able to revise our channel offerings to consumers,

| 3G gives only 2G speeds - Nokia E63 tethering Posted: 25 Sep 2013 10:38 PM PDT So I activated a 1-day, 25 MB recharge to check out what kind of speed one gets by tethering the phone (nokia e63) to laptop. Disappointed to get only 0.2 mbps speed on speedtest.net. What's going on. Is this normal? Do I need to do something on phone? I used the inbuilt software to connect. This is in Gurgaon where otherwise signal strength is almost full. There are plenty of cell towers around.
Would speed improve if I buy Vodafone's new 3G dongle (K3800) that promises up to 14.4 mbps. Or would it remain low? Basically what I want to know is this low speed because of device (nokia phone) or because of the location? |

My main laptop, Compaq CQ42 series, which I use as extended desktop got fried yesterday night.
It was working fine, and all I did was the weekly Ccleaner cleaning, and rebooted, The reboot didn't went through as mouse still had power, so long pressed power button, didn't worked out so pulled off the battery, It never came back.
Dissembled to check and found somehow motherboard went dead. RAM, HDD, Optical drive everthing is ok, but it won't power ON.
Gave to mother board repairing center today, and he was shocked when e saw I ripped off each of the parts. he was asking me to bring all parts but I managed and he will be repairing it, hopefully. It's the only center in my town with "Advanced BGA Machine" something to do with chip level I think. Have to use netbook till then, but I hate using anything below 14 inch. Enjoy the operation Laptop pics........       |
