Weird name :)
 

the target audience, well, it's going to be young India, namely the youth. Hence, the channel will run films which excite them and which are not more than a decade old.
"But that doesn't mean we will not show cult movies like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sinkandar.


Then after few days they will start broadcasting dubbed South Indian movies :D
 

It is slated to launch another GEC in September called Anmol


Hope it doesn't fails like Zee Next channel which was launched as 2nd GEC few years ago.

Have written on 18th May to your Tikona Customer care (that do not exist) and your nodal officer that I am not getting services from Tikona. have to call your team multiple time to restore my connection, never got the promised speed and your technical executive never be prompt to reach the place and solve the issue on my multiple request you guys disconnected my connection on 9 Aug 12. when i haven't used any of your services in this period how can you invoice me and that also some 3000 Rs. Your executive came to collect the device and other device and still not got the acknowledgement for the same. When i take the connection i have paid money advance with the assurance from your agent this will be paid back to me when I disconnect my connection instead of paying mu money back to me you are asking me to pay for the services which i haven't used.
Now I am getting multiple threatening calls from Tikona Team and some legal department that you will destroy my CIBIL record and latest that you will also get my Votor ID card, other financial document if I not paid the monies.
But still I am ready to pay so I had a word with your Legal Person and got settled on the amount of Rs. 1000 to pay and settle the account. I wrote reply on your email to come and give in written that account is settled and the documents that you will not write to CIBIL rating and also withdrawing of court case. but I haven't received any reply from your team.
I am still ready to pay the settlement amount. Please give me the requested documents and collect the money and close the account

But still have one question is this the way to treat the customer? not reply on emails and queries and charge the customer as per your discretion?

Affordable company and with the good services, you really cannot not go wrong. An ISP should have three important attributes in my opinion. 1. Good support 2. Quality connection 3. Value for money. And Tikona has all those.

 

Following are my ratings :-

 

Support - 8

Well organised support and honest with any open tickets and issues.

Speed and connectivity - 8

Quite reliable and delivers promised speed. Would have given 10, but faced some issues in the initial phase.
 

Value - 9

Would I recommend? Yes, they are value for money. You get what you pay for...

As for the cast and crew, Kapoor has promised the channel that there will be no known names on the show. However, word is that Ronit Roy, Atul Kulkarni, Chunky Pandey and Vidyut Jamwar will essay some of the lead roles. And, as we already know, Kapoor will play the main protagonist, anti-terror squad leader Jack Bauer, essayed by his favourite actor Keifer Sutherland in the original version. What's more? Abhinao Deo of Delhi Belly fame will direct the show. One wonders though, who will play the middle-eastern leader Omar Hassan, the role bagged by Kapoor in the American series...

Hey guys, i am facing very slow surfing speeds today after 9 pm, almost every site like mediafire, facebook is opening like it's on some dial up connection. Downloading speed is fine. Tried using both mtnl dns and google dns but same results. Any one having similar issues?

Need help, I have taken Logitech Z506 5.1 speaker system for my TATA SKy HD. But having issues with setup, right now Im using red white cable to connect to HD box but output is not satisfactory. I want to use 6 CH option as shown in the picture.

Showing as online on Gmail on a sold device

I sold my old HTC chacha to someone via olx, about 1 one month gone but I'm still showing as online(on g-talk)on my current device and other places like Gmail on pc etc...
Its the same Google account I was using on that phone even I formatted the device before giving him.......now I'm not able to contact that guy and whenever in sending any IM to that account, not getting any response from other end..... Now what to do???

I have just got a new BSNL broadband connection,I opted for Speed combo 2799 plan,hoipng to get atleast 6-7 Mbps speed. But I am only getting 1 Mbps ! Connection became active 2-3 days back only but still there is no improvement in speed.Following are my line attenuation,SNR range etc.

ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews

Hello Readers,

My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband.

I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263.

Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again.

I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week.

I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response.

Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband
1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in]
2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number.
3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so]
4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them
5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians]
6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service

Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time.

Placed an order on September 2nd 2012, it was sunday.

According to their shipping conditions the order should be shipped within 7 working days,
so I contacted the customer service to know the status.

Wait time of 10 minutes and the agent would read out what you can see on the website itself,
plus he added the order should be shipped by Sept 11, 2012.

Tracking system doesn't work, by the way this tracking status is for a product that shipped on September 5, 2012.

as I ordered two products, one is shipped while the other, major one is not.

International pings are horrible on MTNL Broadband for 2 weeks now

Solution:

Quit MTNL. MTNL doesnt know how to fix DNS issue. (Its been 2 months now.. still problem persists.) 

Either go with Airtel or Joister Broadband.

If you call 1504, MTNL aunties will pick up the call, and if you tell them my ping has increased. They will ask you back what is PING.

 

So if anyone has MTNL prabhadevi office Internet Admin's phone number or any email, please let me know.

 

As im facing PING issues on MTNL, and because of which my MTNL speed has also reduced to 1.4mbps (Im paying for 2MBPS connection).

 

And im a gamer, ofcourse we need better pings to Singapore and .. other Asian servers.

Air-India excess baggage

I have to travel tomorrow to Chennai from Delhi. I have to take some machinery part with me and weighs around 22Kg.

Although Air India says 15Kg as baggage allowance. But nothing is written on my ticket and baggage allowance column is blank.

So what do you guys suggest. What can i do and will they be nice enough to accommodate. Or will i have to pay extra and what will be the charges.

Static IP improves service drastically

From past few days my service was just pathetic. i am having a 2mbps unlimited plan on which download speed was 2mbps but the upload speed was around 400kbps. There were issues of packet drop and high pings. So a guy from tikona suggested me that i should take the static IP service and there will be huge change in your service. And guess what he was correct.

 

Benifits

1. No login page ever.

2. Connect as many PC with your Wifi router.

3. download speed of 3.5 mbps

4. upload speed of 2mbps

5. super low pings.

6. no packet drop.

 

Drawbacks

1. you will have to shell out Rs1500 a year.
