ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews

Hello Readers,

My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband.

I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263.

Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again.

I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week.

I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response.

Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband
1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in]
2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number.
3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so]
4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them
5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians]
6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service

Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time.

ACT broadband blocking sites?

Is ACT broadband blocking certain websites? This torrent website (http://kickass.to) appears to be blocked. ACT proudly advertises that an entire movie can be downloaded in 5 minutes etc. and now this...

I have been charged incorrectly for March month.I made a request for downgrade of my plan from ACT Indulge to ACT freedom on 27th February for which I got email from ACT team that it will be done by 1st March EOD.
But even then they have charged me for ACT indulge in march month and customer care has not clue because they have been caught red handed this time.I will drag them to consumer court this time.

I have been reliance broadband user since its start in Delhi, India. However, after disconnection they have shown me the colors which I have never imagined of them. This is the worst customer experience I have been offered by RCOM since its inception in Delhi.

 

Poor Handling of customers by current RCOM team. I have called all the customer care numbers, written e-mails to Reliance broadband and reliance customer care but no relief only painful days to get my hard earned cash back.

 

My plight is given below

Subject:  Refund of Amount in respect of User ID No. 360198175753 in the name of VED PRAKASH

 
After that your representative came to my premises and took away the equipments installed at my house and given slip for this and told us that we will get the refund within 45 days.

I have disconnected the reliance broadband connection in the month of March (12-3-2013) due to problems in the internet services provided by RCOM under WIMAX (no signals). 

 
 
However even aftery expiry of 60 days period i have not received my refund amount. However, i have received a bill stating negative balance of Rs.3982.98 (Total Charges on Reliance Internet Service User ID 360198175753).
 
However the amount for refund is allowed w.e.f. 25-03-2013 but i have requested for disconnection w.e.f. 12-03-2013 and your customer care told me that i will be allowed refund w.e.f. 12/13-03-2013.
 
Hence it is once again requested to issue my refund amount cheque at the earliest (as 45 days period quoted by your company has already lapsed)

I have recently moved to ACT broadband. Prior to that, I was using Bsnl broadband connection. I am trying to reuse, DLink2730  if there is any possibility,

I have gone through some post in this forum, where the same model is used to work with Tikona. Tried all the steps mentioned in that post, not able to get ACT working.

just have a look at that REASON.... they say they see everything.. what the hell were u doing when the fake ids were roaming..

i think u had mentioned the reason as i posted in 1 thread that " admin wont see anything" and i have valid point for that too.. as you were not checking who is posting what and also there were double threads on same topics........

this is disgusting and most bad part of IBF i have ever faced.. now i am fedup with the ADMIN not with any members ....... this is the bad thing i had seen upto now.... every other member can use any languages and insult , fight and still get away but i have been stopped from posting for 2 days........

A young, beautiful and rich girl, Dimpy Singh (Madalsa Sharma), approaches Samrat Tilakdhari (Rajeev Khandelwal), a private investigator, with a strange case. Deadline reports that Fox made quick work of replacing their vacant director's chair and will likely be able to keep their July 18th, 2014 release date as a result. Fans should be familiar with Singer's work as he wrote and directed both 2000′s X-Men and 2003′s follow-up, X2. He also turned in the script for Vaughn's X-Men: First Class along with an ensemble of other writers, including Vaughn. We also got confirmation of the title from Singer recently. It follows the 1980s' comic storyline written by Chris Claremont that alternates between a present day battle against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline where an assassination of a government official has led to Sentinels roaming the land and mutants held prisoner in internment camps.
