Hathway Broadband launches Docsis 3.0 Ultra High speed network

We are the first Company to launch a Docsis 3.0 network in the country," said Hathway Cable & Datacom MD & CEO Jagdish Kumar. "With our Docsis 3.0 network supplied by Cisco we are ready to deliver Ultra High Speed Broadband upto 50 Mbps to every retail customer in South Mumbai.

 

Hathway Docsis 3.0 plans start from monthly Rs 599 and go upto Rs 1499 for the 50 Mbps plan which offers 50 GB of download data.

The network is initially being deployed in South Mumbai and has been extensively tested. All existing and new customers of Hathway Broadband in South Mumbai can upgrade to the Docsis 3.0 plans. Hello Readers,

My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband.

I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263.

Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again.

I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week.

I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response.

Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband
1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in]
2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number.
3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so]
4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them
5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians]
6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service

Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time.

BSNL - EVDO - Usage - Review and everything about it

I know its a old school connection , about 4 years old but till now there isnt a better wireless plan compared to this till now

Rs 750 Pm True Unlimited . Prepaid

Pros:
1. True Unlimited no FUPs - i download around 100-150 Gbs a month, i can download upto 200-300 Gbs but i run out of files :redface:
2. Priced cheap compared to others , when they charge Rs 1000 with 10 Gb FUP
3. U dont have to talk to the customer care ever

Cons:
1. it has too many
2. Coverage is too thin , forget about slow speed there are places where u wont get any service at all
3. u just cannot walk to a BSNL office and buy this sim , because 70% of them doesnt know there is a service like this
4. CDMA
5. Availability of CDMA- EVDO modems in the market
6. Recharge Problems , those STVs mentioned on the site dont work most of the time ( lost Rs 1000 over online Recharge couple of times)

even after all the above i just love this connection , its prepaid and costs 750 pm , unlimited
have nice coverage in my town , so always get 1-2mbps , but dont ask about the ping or latency values :mad:

with this connection i have never thought about another connection for 3 years now .

recharge for Rs 20 for 6 months validity , make with a retailer if he says this amount is not available insist that it works

topup for any amount you like , every 30 days the rental would get deducted automatically

I ordered a HP Chromebook 14 in the month of February. There were a couple of offers mentioned. I was interested in two… A free HP backpack and one year accidental warranty. There were some others related to wireless internet dongles, I had no interest in them.

I ordered the laptop with a next day delivery option and got it with the backpack on schedule.

I also followed the steps mentioned on Flipkart website to redeem the one year hardware warranty offer. It took HP more than a month to come up with a decision that my product is not valid for the offer.

I checked with Flipkart and was told that the laptop did not have that offer when I ordered it.

So either their website showed me an expired offer or I am lying. I think I trust myself enough to know that I am not trying to falsely score a stupid one year hardware warranty from HP.

Lessons learnt. Would try to be more careful the next time I order from Flipkart.

I have completed watching the first season of Utopia. It is really brave, radical TV series. Have anyone watched this series yet? If not, I suggest you should give it a try. It is one of the best TV series I've seen in recent times.

SpiceJet is making sure Indians continue to fly cheap this year. The budget carrier Tuesday launched an offer of base fares starting at Re 1 for travel between July 1 2014 and March 28, 2015.
The offer is avalable between April 1 and 3.
"These fares will allow families to plan their vacations and weekend trips at fares lower than train fares with joy and freedom, now that the pressure of March school exams is finally over. But they need to move fast as seats are limited," said Kaneswaran Avili, SpiceJet's new chief commercial officer.
What's more, there is no fuel surcharge levied on the Rupee 1 fares, the airline said in its website. The offer is primarily on new routes that the airline started on its summer schedule.

Since last few days i am not getting either of starsports hd channels (earlier i was getting starsports hd 1 and 2). may calls to cable operator, Mahalxmi cable network, resulted in nothing as every time they give me different answer. are other people getting these two channels on HD? someone plz help me ?

i changed plan from [ 6mbps upto 35gb , after that 1mbps unlimited ] to this..

but im getting around 5mbps only  :sad: which i got in before plan

BSNL Broadband: Combo ULD 800 Plan Review

Hey friends,

 

I installed BSNL BB with Combo ULD 800.

 

AS per plan speed should be max. 1mbps upto 6gb. But i am getting 1.6mbps speed as per speed test (measured on speedtest.net). How it can be possible. Can any 1 answer??????????????????????????????????????????????

 

BSNL has taken 2 month to install Landline but bb installation is very quick (2 days after application).

 

Till now i am satisfied. I am in Vadodara, Gujarat region.

 

You ppl also can share your experience for this plan and BSNL service.
