My Airtel DTH STB (HD with Recording) was getting upgraded automatically. After the upgrade process completed and the box rebooted it is now it just won't go beyond "Please wait initializing". Reboots every few seconds. Here is what is happening in detail;
I power up the STB, All LEDs of the STB light up for a few secs
Can someone advice on how to fix this? How to reset the system to the default image if that would help? Is there any way by which I can reset to factory defaults? Connect the STB with my PC and do a reset? Open the STB and push any botton to reset the box?
Any help is appreciated.

| Problem with BSNL New Pre-Paid EVDO Connection Posted: 20 Mar 2014 02:36 AM PDT Recently i buy my new evdo cdma sim + datacard from Rajasthan... i was told that connection got activated with 1 day and i will get 399 rs balance. they have given me my sim with phone number (91xxxxxxxx)
Today, i plug my device and call on above number it get calls, however i do not see anything on my PC. Now following are my concern pls help me..
1) What is username and password for Evdo Connection ?? I have tried different combination i.e dial: #777 usename: phone number (91xxxxxxxx) password: phone number (91xxxxxxxx)
username: last 10 digits of number written on back of sim (RSN0XXXXXX) password: last 10 digits of number written on back of sim (RSN0XXXXXX)
username: 165 password: 165
username: (91xxxxxxxx)@aaag.in password: (91xxxxxxxx)
username: blank password: blank
but i always get same error ?? remote desktop could not able to connect bad usename and password. have full EVDO signal

i would like to know 1.which signal booster antenna i could use for these modem ?note:i already talked to bsnl cc incharge he said signal will be very good in mine area so will i really require signal booster and do they really work ? 2. i tried recharging mine mobile using paytm and freecharge.in but both failed . so pls tell me should i have to use data card option or simple mobile recharge( also tell top up or special recharge) ?i also want to know how to do rs.20 validity recharge 3. i would like to know general password,username,apn for evdo ? 4. how can i activate 750 plan (mine present plan in general ) ? how can i avoid tax as they said me to recharge with stv 825 . 5. as provided in bsnl cdma south zone website that service tax will not be charged if activated plan through sms . is it really hold true if yes then pls provide me sample format of sms to be sent to bsnl. 6.in website it is written that 20% extra balance will be provided if recharged more than 500 rupees. is these valid only for online recharge ? 7. if i recharge with 825 as said by bsnl cc. will it automatically go to 1 month u/l plan or i need to activate it? 8. pls provide important others tips which should be know while using bsnl evdo!!
by the way i am currently bsnl bb user and not at all satisfied with the bsnl.

4) Does Internet get Disconnected very frequently? (Internet is very necessary for me,because of my work)

| ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews Posted: 19 Mar 2014 10:34 PM PDT Hello Readers, My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband. I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263. Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again. I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week. I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response. Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband 1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in] 2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number. 3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so] 4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them 5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians] 6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time. |

Unfortunately repeated requests to ACT team have fallen on deaf ears, please can you confirm if ACT broad band doesnt support in reputed area like BTM Layout !!! |
