So... Largely disappointed as expected. The resolution is too low for someone like me coming from a WQXGA display. Display tech is also quite poor in comparison to what I have on my (very f**ked up) Dell. I am not used to laptop keyboards so that would take a lot of time getting used to. Would have to reorganize my Chrome toolbar to fit all the icons in so little space available on that device :D And since the changes sync across all Chromes, I would have get the same compact edition on my desktop as well lol.

Anyways. It is still a laptop that comes with a 9 hour battery life. Which is what the focus is on. A backup machine to be used primarily during longer power cuts and travel. Would see if I can switch to it as my primary work machine as well. Would save a lot of power in the process. I can now get a Pogobox or a similar device for my torrent downloads and exclusively use the desktop for watching movies and TV shows!

I would eventually find out.

Hey Guys,

 

I needed some suggestion or help for a wired broadband service @ Kempegowda Nagar, Bangalore.

 

I have already checked and found that ACT and YOU Broadband are not available. Airtel currently are checking for feasibility in the area and I'd rather not go in for BSNL unless they're the only ones left due to poor customer service :sad:

 

Anyone who stays in the same area or is aware of which ISP is available in the area, the help would be much appreciated :Rose:

I want to take a new Wired Broadband connection in Ghaziabad. The plan should not have Fup limit, it has to be unlimited.Either 1Mbps or 2 Mbps will be fine for me .

I am staying in Dwarka New Delhi and am currently using Airtel Broadband

 

I recently saw an offer from Tata Docomo giving 5 Mbps and 40GB limit for the same price that I pay to Airtel for 4 Mbps and 15GB limit.

 

So I am thinking of trying out Tata Docomo.

 

Any users in Dwarka or more genreally in Delhi who are using Tata Docomo, please let us know your reviews.

Shifting to reliance from tikona

Tikona recently started to degrade speed using contention ratio after fup. So speed is stuck below 1mbps for all plans in my city. I can't even watch youtube at 360p after 50gb quota for 4mbps plan. Horrible speed.

 

 

I am from hyd living near masab tank. I am planning to shift to reliance 1099 with 4mbps unlimted plan. Can anyone from hyd and other cities anwser my questions.

 

1. How is reliance broadband in hyderabad and also in my area?

2. Will I get a dynamic or static ip address?

3. How is customer service here .?

The BCCI is planning to go all-out in its bid to present a corruption-free image of the IPL to the public before the 2014 season starts. It was told to the IPL governing council members on Thursday that the Board will launch a 'clean-IPL' campaign in March leading up to the tournament.
"We will not only stick to Hindi or English. The campaign will be in different regional languages across India and top cricketers will be used for the campaign," a BCCI source said.
According to the plan, Sachin Tendulkar might be speaking in Marathi or Sourav Ganguly in Bengali explaining to the fans that IPL was always corruption free. "We want stars of the specific regions speaking in their mother tongue on television about the highs of IPL," the source added.

Just started. One episode. Started a bit slow. But got interesting at the end. Would be keeping an eye on this one.

The series is set in a small town in Pennsylvania Amish country and features an enigmatic ex-con posing as a murdered sheriff who imposes his own brand of justice while also cooking up plans that serve his own interests.


Looks to have a religious angle which is something that I am not a fan of.
