When will BSNL launch new broadband plans? Posted: 14 Feb 2014 02:43 AM PST hi Guys,   Its frustrating that BSNL is yet to launch truly unlimited 1/2/4 Mbps plans for < 1500Rs. Its perpetually offering 512Kbps speeds from last 4-5 years. Not only that, they are not even offering speed boost say after 6pm like MTNL does. Its not only about downloading torrents. Even if i want to watch Youtube files, I am not able to with 512kbps. They should start offering speed boost to 2/4Mbps at 6pm to 8am slot if offering the same at daytime is not possible. What can we do in this situation ? Can we all raise a CRM ticket at selfcare portal to demand this ?   Sanket.

How to get a passbook for your ICICI Bank Savings Account? Posted: 14 Feb 2014 02:13 AM PST I have to admit, I have no idea. This has been my experience… ICICI Bank recently mailed me that they were no longer going to send paper statement by postal mail. I have two options. I can either make do with emailed statements. Or I can apply for a passbook. About the passbook, the email clearly said: You can also ask for a pass book at your nearest branch. Today, I decided to give it a go. I went to my 'nearest branch' (Sector 31 Market Gurgaon) to get a passbook for my savings bank account. I was told that there were some technical problems and only this branch right now was not able to provide passbooks to customers. I was told to visit any other branch where I could get a passbook on the spot. I decided to take it one step further. I went to another branch of ICICI Bank (Civil Lines Gurgaon). There I was told that I can only get a passbook from the branch where I have my account. I decided to do exactly that. I went to the branch where my account was located (Sector 14 Gurgaon). Was told… I can leave the application and come back after a week or so to collect my passbook. I was not amused by this. I asked for more details. Was told that only the home branch has the powers to update my passbook so I would have to deal with them. Not exactly what ICICI Bank indicated in their initial mail. I did the next best thing. I applied to transfer my account from that branch to the one nearest to my home. This process would take three days. The bank representative at the local branch had told me that it would take them at least 2 weeks to start distributing passbooks again. So well… The waiting begins.

Shifting ACT Broadband within Bangalore not done Posted: 14 Feb 2014 01:19 AM PST Hi,   I have registered a request on 1st Feb 2014 for shifting my Act Broadband conneciton from Bangalore Kundanahalli to Bangalore HAL and the customer support executive mentioned that the shifting will be done within 15 days and ACT engg. would call me to confirm on the feasability etc. There was no call from ACT and I have been calling every day since I had logged the complaint.   Today I spoke with customer representative named Indhu and she logged another request today and confirmed that ACT engg. will call within 2 hr i.e. before 11:30 AM today. Am not sure about the process ACT follows but am utterly unsatisfied by the way ACT responds to the customers.   Initial Compain Id : 0001665989 on 1st Feb 2014 Complain Id : 0001676084 on 4th Feb 2014   Regards, Vijay

ACT broadband Woes Posted: 14 Feb 2014 01:12 AM PST Hi,   I have been a faithful ACT customer for the last two years. I stay in Indira Nagar HAL 2nd Stage, and the service has been fairly good. There was a junction box being switched off problem once but that was sorted out after a lot of frustrated calls (and a month of problems). But I still stuck on.   However, once I shifted houses, and had to get my connection shifted, I have had a hell of a time. I have shifted in the same area, and there is no feasibility issue. Yet ACT took a full week to get that connection shifted. That too, after calling the Customer Care umpteen times, and calling their supervisor a couple of times. That was finally done, taking a full 9 does. My friends who shifted to a new house, and took a new connection  got it the same day! What service for loyal custmoers!   Next, one week after the connection started working, it just went kaput all of a sudden. I registered a complaint, and haven't got any call back from their technical team, although the Customer Care keeps telling me that they have notified them. It has been more than two days of down time, and they are not bothered at all. Add this to the 8 day down time earlier, and I have had to be without internet for virtually the entire February. I finally filed for a disconnection of services. I don't think I can bear this pathetic service anymore. I need a reliable internet connection as I work from home, and I don't think ACT is up to it.   I warn you, if you have a working connection of ACT, it's all fine. But if there is any problem that arises, just don't bother and move to some other service provider. They are not going to do anything. There CC is the worst that I have come across   My complaint number: 1705833 My cancellation: 1712204   I will make sure I don't refer them to anyone anymore and remind all my friends who are using their connection.   "One angry unsatisfied customer"

HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 AIO Printer Posted: 14 Feb 2014 01:11 AM PST My aging HP Photosmart 8158 printer finally gave up yesterday and sister needs printer frequently now a days.  I already had HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 AIO Printer in mind.  Finally bought it today for 6k from a known vendor who supplies computer products to our company.  This printer retails at 6.7k on Flipkart, so this was an excellent deal.  Some features mentioned below.   Wireless connectivity. HP Ink Advantage cartridges (HP 678 Black and Color) HP ePrint support. Apple Airprint support. HP Wireless Direct support. Automatic print on both sides support. Scan through web portal.   Took a couple of prints and all were good enough.  The automatic print on both sides amazed me as I have seen this only on high end laser printers.  Scanned some old photos and it looks great too.  Printouts fired from my mobile/tablet works fine using the native print support in android 4.4 but the print comes comparatively slower which is probably because it prints on 'Normal' or 'Best' mode and in mobile I couldn't find an option to toggle this.   Overall a pretty solid printer for the price.

Delhi Government to file lawsuits in alleged inflated gas price scam Posted: 13 Feb 2014 10:03 PM PST Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said legal cases will be filed against billionaire Mukesh Ambani, Union Oil Minister Veerappa Moily and other policy-makers for colluding to inflate the prices of gas produced from the D6 block off the eastern coast. "Today we have instructed the anti-corruption branch to file a criminal case against Murli Deora, FIRs against Veerappa Moily, VK Sibal, the (then) Director General of Hydrocarbons, Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman Mukesh Ambani and others," Mr Kejriwal said, declaring that Reliance was being allowed windfall illegitimate gains. It is the remake of the 2010 telugu film Leader. The film is directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal. It stars Jackky Bhagnani, Neha Sharma, Farooq Sheikh and Boman Irani. The film is a love story set against the backdrop of Indian politics. The first trailer of Youngistaan was unveiled at a suburban multiplex in Mumbai on 1 February 2014. Farooq Shaikh died on 27 December 2013, Youngistaan would be his last film he acted in. So he is playing Rahul Gandhi?
