You know how it goes, you buy a phone on eBay, and it comes with a developer / pre-release version of a major mobile OS. Well, if these images are to be believed, that's at least what happened to one bargain-hunting Windows Phone fan. The screenshots -- said to be taken from a Nokia 920 -- show Windows Phone 8, but with a few new tweaks and features. Most notable, will likely be the notifications, but other tidbits include App list ordering based on frequency of use, week view in the calendar and the option to kill apps from the multitask screen. The phone reports a build number of: 12084.WPMAIN(wpbldlab).20130509-1407 leading some to infer that this version could have been compiled sometime in May. A tease of something to come? As always, hard to tell, but expect the price of second-hand 920s to bump up a little, for the next few weeks at least.

Status of BCCI & Indian Team players

Hi Guys,

 

I was just going through my regular LAW study routine and would like to know about,

 

  • Whether BCCI is government recognized entity like ONGC?

If yes then how can they take sponsorships and endorsements and does not fall under RTI [Section 2(H) of the RTI Act, 2005]?

If no then under what laws they manage Official Indian National Cricket team and bear Flag of India [Prevention of Improper Use Act, 1950]? 

How a member of any parliamentary body can be a president of Private club having assents more than 10 lakhs [Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964]?

Why GoI provides assistance like customs/tax concessions, and discounted land for building stadiums allocated for National Sports Federation (NSF)?

 

  • Are Indian National Cricket team players employees of Government of India or BCCI?

If yes then there is no way a government employee can take sponsorship nor they can participate in parties/events or take gifts from private companies [The Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1966].

If no then why they are National Team, they are just a club members and does not represent Indian.

The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it. "Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away."

Recently I bought Dlink DSL-2750U modem+router for home use. I want to configure this router but router WAN port accepts RJ11 cable.

And tikona has RJ45 cable.

So anybody can suggest solution for this problem?

Also this router has USB port for connecting internet dongles.

Guys! Need help with new connecion

I registered for a new connection in my area. The BSNL people say "Sir No feasibility in your area". Now, comes the most annoying part... I can see my neighbor's BSNL switch(The small white box from where they provide everyone with connection) from my balcony i.e, their connection exist not ever 10m away from my house... and there is a another switch in another house that is less than 40m away from my house. Now, guys whom do i go and complain about this? Its obvious that these BSNL people are not doing their work. Area: AECS Layout B Block,Singhasandra,Bangalore-68. Nearest Telephone Exchange: Hosa road telephone exchange(Near Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham college)

* Each ward to be divided in min 8 and max 12 mohallas
* Mohalla Sabha will have one Mohalla committee constituing of One woman and One man, in case of a trangender, the person can opt to be elected as either male or female.
* Mohalla Sabha has to meet at least once a month.
* Tenure of Mohalla Sabha will be equal to Municipal corporation.
* Mohalla Sabha meeting to be video recorded.
* Proceedings of Mohalla Sabha will be telecasted on local cable networks and radio stations.
* All decisions of Mohalla sabha shall be binding on Mohalla sabha representatives.
* Mohalla Sabha will have the power to recall councillor (Ten percent of registered voters can recommend for the removal and 2/3rd of the people have to approve the recall).
* State Elections Commission will get the new councillor elected within one month of the recall.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF MOHALLA SABHA

* Mohalla Sabhas shall strive for universal education and health care in the Mohalla Sabha, formulate and implement schemes to eradicate hunger and homelessness and for welfare of senior citizens, disabled and other vulnerable sections of the society.
 
Powers of Mohalla Sabha:

The Mohalla Sabha

* shall have powers to get any information from any state government official or municipal body
* to hire consultants
* direct and authorize any expenditure
* impose penalties or give rewards to govt officials who come directly under the Mohalla Sabha
* no land use conversion shall be allowed without consultation of affected mohalla sabha (direct confrontation with dda)
* no liquor shop to be opened without approval of Mohalla Sabha
* can direct closure of existing liquor shops
* police shall register an FIR if reffered to them by Mohalla Sabha (direct confrontation with Delhi Police under union home ministry)
* if any person of the mohalla is arrested then police will have to inform the mohalla sabha within 2 hours
