Snapdeal offering same day delivery in some parts of India

On Monday morning, the Indian online marketplace Snapdeal introduced its same-day delivery service, putting pressure on rivals Flipkart and Amazon who launched their next-day delivery service a few weeks ago.

To start out, Snapdeal is rolling out the service in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) without charging any additional fee. If an eligible item is ordered before 1 p.m. Snapdeal will have it delivered on the same day, Rohit Bansal, co-founder of the company told TechCrunch. This is what Bansal said when asked if this service has any takers among Snapdeal's current user base of over 20 million.

I have been using airtel for few months now its been pretty good
I took the 4mbps 25gb limit plan it was good until i felt that my data plan gets over faster than i expect to to get over ,
meaning my 25 gb limits gets over when i havent downloaed anything big
well that can easily happen casuse its fast net and all that but just to make sure i dowladed an app that tracks my data usage ... 
one day when my data plan got over and the speed went slow i check the app and it showed 17 gb used
 
So I called customer service and asked them,
they said their severs are never wrong,
 
I was like okay it can happens cause its over the course  of a month mistakes can happen .
But then today i came back form holidays dint even use the net all this time,
went online chekde facebook and youtube then checkd  the app(1.63gb) and campared it to the value in the site(airtel.in) after login in(2.86 gb)  
 
I dont get how this could happen i have print screen of the value can some one help me find a way to attact it here?
 
Is this fraud or error from my side? I know there is an airtel mod here so kindly reply :)

Unable to browse some sites on mtnl broadband

hello...

from abt 2-3hrs i am unable to acces ANY site. i can access site if i press refresh 3-4 times
but again same thing. yahoo messenger also connects after closting it 3-4 times and reopening.
but once yahoo mesgr is connected.. i am able to chat non-stop with no delay at all.

strange is once connection starts its continous.. i.e. lets say i download 10mb file.. it doesnt
start immediately.. i have to refresh again 2-3times.. but once it starts downloading, it doesnt
interrupt in betwn and i get non-stop 27kbps. but once downloading is over.. if i try to download
say new file.. it again makes me refresh 3-4 times.. but once it starts its non-stop.

same way google.com or yahoo mail..sometimes opens immediately..sometimes i have to
press refresh 4-5times.

any1 facing similar problem?

There aren't many clues to the specs, although it's clear that the phone would take advantage of Windows Phone GDR3's support for large displays. Modem Restarting Automatically

Badly I've been using SH*tSNL.I am using AN1020-20 modem, its getting restarted by itself.There is no fixed time of restarting, sometimes it get restarted after an hour or more.I called exchange but they're saying I am coming but no one comes.I even went to there office still they didn't came with me to my home.Next time when they will come to my home I will trap them in a sack and then gonna beat them too hard.

The AAP decision is anything but a mass subsidy. It is a very targeted subsidy based on consumption. The assumption here is very simple. The poor would use water sparingly and try to stay within the 20,000 litre limit, whereas those better off would exceed those limits. The latter would then pay for even the first unit they consumed, and in effect subsidise the poor. This is in effect better than the tarriff structure we have today, where everyone pays a low per unit price for the first few units they consume, and then everyone pays higher.Till today, you paid more if you used more, for the excess you used, buteveryone paid the same low rate for the first 10,000 litres (Rs 2 per 1000 litre for the first 10,000 litres used and Rs 3 for 10-20,000, Rs 15 for 20-30,000). Which then is a mass subsidy? The existing graded pricing, or AAP's proposed telescopic pricing.

MTNL MTNL MODEM DM 856W reboot when connecting with mobile ! please help !

hi members,

 

my mtnl modem dm 856 W reboot when i connect with mobile .

the configuration and what i did is as follows :

 

1.  change channel auto -> 11 ( as given in some forum)

2.  wifeless mode -> 802.11b+g  (as given in some forum)

3.  change my DHCP lease time to 172800 ( as given is some fourm)

4.   download wificonnection manager from android forum. ( by the way my mobile is karbonn A7+ with android ver .2.3.6 kernel ver. 2.6.38.6-perf

5.  This tipical problem never work for the laptop, it run smoothly. but when i connect with mobile it start rebooting.

6. I even try wireless mac address filter and test this with allow association But it always connect and reboot.

7.  after endnumber of times rebooting my phone and modem if came to know that it connect to modem and stay there, but if i start browsing then it reboots.

8. please anyone help !!! is this the problem with modem !! yes one more thing i went to my friend place he is using netgare modem there it works fine without and drooping . please help. MTNL engg are clueless and they are giving suggession as some body giving to 1 class student . like reboot the modem . check your phone. like that . please help.

Tata Docomo 2G/3G connection Problem

Its been a month since I started using TATAT DOCOMO postpaid connection with rs 350 plan, which promises me 1GB 3G internet + 2G unlimited internet. But as soon I took the connection I realised that TATA DOCOMO internet connets once, stays on for 30 minutes and after that disconnects. It doesnt connect back for the entire day(How many ever times you try). The next day I either have to switch off/on or Remove/Reinsert my SIM to connect the internet back again. I have raised several complaints with Tata Docmo Customer Care regarding this. The solution they gave was to "IP Pooling issue for the entire of karnataka Circle, so Keep turning off/on the data to reconnect back and occasionally try switch off/on also". I am tired of turning off/on my data connection on my MOTOROLA ATRIX 2. My question is when TATA DOCOMO can't provide the service promised, why should I pay their postpaid bill? I feel cheated by this geasture of TATA DOCOMO. Please provide me valuable suggestion to file a Consumer Complaint regarding the same. Customer complaint numbers are 759078273, 381921313

D-Link DSL-2750U compatible with Tikona Broadband or not?

Hi ...

 

i have a Tikona Broadband at home with a RJ45 connector coming out from the signal device.

i have 1 desktop PC and 2 Smartphones. 

 

I want to purchase a Router with 300 Mbps speed, with a USB port for Data card/External HDD.

After gone through various websites i have decided to go for D-Link DSL-2750U Wireless N ADSL2 4-Port Wi-Fi Router.

 

But it is a Modem + Router and has RJ11 WAN port But on various forum i have read that this product can be use with tikona broadband. But in Wajirpur Computer Market(Delhi) all shopwala told me that this D-Link DSL 2750 is a Modem + Router and will not work with Tikona Broadband. what should i do?

 

Is it compatible with tikona broadband?

can i go online simultaneously on my 2 smartphones and Desktop PC?

what will be the limitations of using Modem+router instead of a router (If it is compatible)?

Please suggest some other Routers with similar configuration, 300 Mbps(large home), USB Port for data card and external HDD.(i dont want to go for TP-Link).

My range is upto Rs 2500.

 

Please Help me out from this confusion.

Hi Guys,

 

I have recently shifted to the Rajakilpakkam area, Chennai. Was desperately looking for an ISP. Airtel did not have cables, I am not  a great fan of BSNL due to to my past experiences, so rejected that. Finally got to know about a new ISP by the name VIBRANTNET (www.vibrantnet.in). I was using Wi-Fi (FTTH) when I used to stay in Medavakkam, the plans provided by this guy matches the same as Wi-Fi, checked with the Sales guy and came to know that these guys have taken over from Wi-Fi. 

 

I am left with no choice, but I am still confused if I can go for this. I have opted for 4Mbps plan (Rs. 3454 for 3 months + 750 Reg Fee + Tax). The Sales guy has promised to come back within 3 days for the installation. Can someone suggest please?

Metronet (Bell Teleservices) in Bangalore - 10 Mbps for Rs. 1699

I finally found an ISP (a local cable provider) with 10 Mbps UL Plans, well atleast with 100gb FUP & 1Mbps after for Rs. 1699. They call themselves Maruti Network & operate on 'Metronet' (Belltele.in) network, could not find much info on their website: www.metrotelecom.in but the local cable guy from Maruti network gave me this flyer:

Is anyone else from Bangalore using this, need some reviews & more details on their service / other plans etc. I already paid Rs. 1500 for installation & should get the connection by Tuesday

So, I started watching this because the second season of Six Feet Under turned out to be corrupted. Liking it so far. There are a few issues though…

The characters are pretty similar to the SG-1 team. John Sheppard is an exact duplicate of Jack O'Neill for example.

I have not reached the stage where the character of Ronon Dex joins them. And I am seriously not looking forward to Samantha Carter replacing Elizabeth Weir as I have heard she does (not sure though).

I also see that Jewel Staite would be joining the cast as well. That should be nice. She was in Firefly!

A lot of episodes have similar stories to SG-1. The concept is also on the similar lines. Some shit happens and things are not looking good but everything magically fix up in the last 2 minutes of the episode. Most of the stories are independent in nature just like SG-1. Few stories are divided into two episodes.



Also this:

Actor that plays Simon, Elizabeth Weir's husband is the same actor that played Narim of the Tollan in SG-1 :D Especially funny considering Weir was in SG-1 too for a few episodes.
