Trusted computer peripherals shop in hyderabad/vijayawada

I want to upgrade my pc.So pls suggest a trusted shop either in Hyderabad/Vijayawada similar to delta in chennai.It will be good if there is online ordering of the items.Pls share contact no. & address if you have.

 

I liked delta peripherals very much while I was in chennai.Their prices are reasonable & they maintain online price list too.They only stock few brands which are the best in the category.I can see most of the peripherals are cheaper when compared to flipkart /snapdeal /ebay.I'm little skeptical about online ordering from them since I'm now in AP.Looking for same kind of service in AP.

 

Now here in my town,all the dealers take about Rs500 extra if we go and buy in their shop.They tell some stories about courier charges.We all know they will get all the hardware from vijayawada/hyderabad, but they will never reveal the distributors name as its their trade secret.I'm ok if they charge Rs100-200 extra but Rs500 is too much.These people will never change.

 

 

 

 

Very Disappointed with ACT, 8 days No connection yet

I had applied for a new connection on 18th Dec. I had given an advance of Rs. 7410 in cash to Murthy (employee id - 1667) with necessary documents. He promised me a connection with 3-4 days and maximum 7 days.

Nobody has contacted me after that day, neither have i have been given a customer id or a ticket number. I called the customer service on 4284 0000 multiple times, 4-5 times who haven't done anything. They just tell, they will forward the complaint to the concerned department and yet after that nothing has happened nor anyone has contacted me.

 

I have lost my patience you people. I could have gotten a connection from another ISP by now. After this ordeal and begging ACT to give me a connection, i will not suggest act to any of my friends or family.

Almost exploding battery on Micromax Funbook Tablet PC

A friend was telling me to check his Micromax Funbook tab since quite a long time.  According to him, the back panel was popping out and was no longer fitting back.  Paid a visit to him yesterday and I was shocked to see the tab  :iomg:

I have never seen a battery swollen like this before.  The tab was still working with this battery.  I immediately disconnected the battery and disposed it off before it could explode.

Beware, ACT downgrades your speed before reaching FUP Limit, It happened twice to me. Who's next?

My Oct,2013 month usage : 54.18 GB

My FUP limit                       : 60 GB (ACT Indulge plan)

 

My speed was reduced to 512 Kbps on Oct 27th and again on December 29th even before reaching FUP Limit.
 
I called customer care several times. They said the usage details are ''delayed" by 24 Hrs and
I may have reached the FUP Limit at server (Pathetic and I accepted because I don't have proofs)
 
I've proofs with the total usages which I got from "My usage". Every time when my usage is around 54GB, my speed goes to 512Kbps
 
I've suffered with Low Speeds. from 25 Mbps to 512 Kbps even before reaching FUP Limit???
 
 
Guys! Beware of ACT or if you already have ACT, keep watching your "My Usage"

Former F1 Champion Alan Jones reckons Michael Schumacher may be considering a comeback after an impressive test at Barcelona two week's ago.

Although Schumacher retired from F1 at the end of the 2006 season, the German returned to action with Ferrari at the Spanish track in the first of the winter tests.

The seven-time World Champion proved to be the man to beat as he dominated the timesheets during his two days of testing.

And although Schumacher has stated many times that his test does not mean he will be making a competitive comeback, Jones reckons the thought has to have crossed Schumi's mind.

"After nearly a year out of the saddle, I can image him thinking, 'Maybe I'd like to have another go.' It must be just like coming back from an extended Christmas break," Jones told Autosport.

"He used to take a couple of months off at the end of each season, so another few months won't make a big difference. Two or three years might have done.

"It's a win-win situation: Ferrari gains from his expertise and he enjoys it. And you can never rule out a comeback - he might be thinking, 'I'm really enjoying this!' Money won't be his motivation, it will be to prove a point.

"Niki Lauda was out for several seasons and came back and won the title. Michael could do the same."

Schumacher misses Massa's wedding day

Dec.3 (GMM) A representative for Michael Schumacher has played down speculation that he may have fallen out with his former Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa.



In the presence of many of his Ferrari colleagues, 26-year-old married his fiancee Rafaela Bassi, who is 27, in Sao Paulo last Friday, according to reports from Brazil and Italy.



Among the 800 guests were team bosses Jean Todt and Stefano Domenicali, as well as Mario Almondo, Aldo Costa and Luca Baldisserri -- but not Schumacher, his 2006 teammate.



Massa's countryman Rubens Barrichello also attended, reports said.



Days earlier, the former seven time world champion, Schumacher, won a karting event hosted by Massa in the southern Brazilian city of Florianopolis.



The German newspaper Bild am Sonntag said Schumacher had celebrated Massa's impending marriage with his former teammate and friend in the days prior.



A representative for Schumacher said: "Michael is currently in the United States for a family vacation."

He was coming into Seattle airport through thick fog with less than 10m visibility when his instruments went out. So he began circling around looking for landmark. After an hour or so, he starts running pretty low on fuel and the passengers are getting very nervous. Finally, a small opening in the fog appears and he sees a tall building with one guy working alone on the fifth floor. The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it. "Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away."

Broke nexus 4 screen

My brother broke his nexus 4 screen (digitizer touchscreen not responding too). So wht is the cost of repair+replacement of the screen. Official as well as local.

 

And I am also unable to get some local repair guys contact from google search so please also tell if you know of someone in DELHI who can repair locally.

I am writing this email to share with you a new product idea.

The product I am proposing is triple-in-one offer comprising of the following components in a single console or enclosure:
1. Satellite HD DTH Setup box
2. LED Video Projector (>300 Lumens and WXGA resolution)
3. On board multimedia player (Android)
4. On board stereo audio with decent sound (<6 watts RMS with woofer for good bass)
5. Single RF remote for controlling all these components
- And make it as portable as you can.
 
Making a product having all the above said feature will help in:
1. Reducing multiple power supplies
2. Reduce redundant electronics components
3. Single remote for all the components
4. Portable product which can be used any where be it a living room, drawing room, lawn or a terrace
 
I am sure if this product is made available to the consumers in less then 20K INR it will revolutionize the Indian television market in India.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton is feeling positive after completing his first laps in the team's 2008 challenger, the MP4-23, on Thursday. Hamilton was in action at Jerez alongside new team mate Heikki Kovalainen, as the British squad continued their three-day private test at the Spanish circuit.

"It was fantastic to get my hands on the MP4-23 this morning in Jerez," said the 23 year-old. "I saw the completed car for the first time on Monday at the team's launch in Stuttgart and I have been pretty impatient since then! My first run was at 09:10 and my first impressions are encouraging.

"I covered over 103 laps, which is 456kms, today. Considering this is only the second day the car has been on track, I am pretty happy with that. We have a lot of work to do, but now we have a real understanding of where we are starting from. I will be back in the MP4-23 with Heikki tomorrow and I am looking forward to continuing the programme and moving forward."

Kovalainen, who got his first taste of the new car on Wednesday, alongside tester Pedro de la Rosa, was equally pleased with his own progress.

"Today was my second day with the MP4-23 and I have now been able to complete over 447kms in total," said the Finn. "We are all still spending time learning about the car and starting to get used to it. That we were on track for 204 laps in total today is definitely helping us to learn and progress with the car.

"For me in particular the car is very different from last year, and I have been focusing on that side of things. Settling into the team has been very easy."

Hamilton clocked the day's best time, a 1m 19.132s, while Kovalainen's best lap was completed in 1m 19.462s. The duo will continue to test at the track on Friday.

My experience with ACT BB

Feedback whether positive or negative should be passed to the appropriate person. That's what I believe in.

 

This is the timeline of how my installation experience has been with ACT BB.

 

11 Nov-2013 - I applied for a new ACT BB connection today in Kundanahalli Gate, Bangalore. I will keep you posted on the developments. 

 

11-Nov-2013 - Cheque payment made to Sales executive, Babu Reddy, details filled on form and submitted to him.
ETA - 3 days for wiring and connection to be activated.

12-Nov-2013 - I got a call from ACT technician today that cabling would be done by end of the day. Got a confirmation call from Customer Care at 1543 hrs, IST today that connection will be activated in 2 days. So far, so good.

 

12-Nov-2013 - At 1616 hrs, IST I receive a call from Mukund who is the ACT technician saying that the wiring has been completed to my apartment on the third floor and i would be receiving a call today at 1700 hrs, IST for username and password. Mukund confirms that I can use my internet connection from tonight.

I would term this as awesome service from an installation perspective, although I would have to wait and watch how stable the connection is post installation.

12-Nov-2013 - Cabling has been completed and just received the credentials for my broadband account at 2059 hrs, IST through email and the registered mobile number. A confirmation call was made from the customer care before the account got activated.I am still out, so I gotta go and check how the connection is. I will keep you posted. 

I have connected the cable from ACT BB to my Netgear WGR614 router.

Speed doesn't kick back to normal after it's 1st day of a new month

I had to start a new thread because I'm having this trouble EVERY SINGLE TIME I bust the FUP, the speed just doesn't revert to normal on the 1st day of a new month (it takes a few days). The customer care haven't a clue what's happening, sometimes they say they are aware but then then they also say it's going to be taken care of in couple hours.

I tried logging in and out multiple times at different times but it just doesn't work eh?

 

Firstly, frustration hits bottom right after that limit and your speed plummets down to a snail's, so there's no youtube, no porn and facebook takes a bunch of minutes to show a notification, it makes you feel like you went back in time to use a dial up. Secondly, when you're painfully waiting for that first day of the new month, and when the speed stays the same, you really want to beat someone up.

 

Is it just me or what? Cause I haven't read a thread stating a problem like this.

It's 1st today and my speed is still messing about < 512kbps.

 

ACT, you need to deal with it soon, I do not think it's NOT beyond your control.

 

Personally, I think ACT should look into an idea like Airtel's Smartbytes. It's really cool. You pay to buy data and speed between the time that you hit the FUP and the end of the billing-cycle, it helps all the time.

Hello friends, I could see massive optic fibre laying in various parts of country. I had seen conduits of various colours laying in Bangalore, Delhi and varanasi. Dont know about other places, can you guys confirm this. I had seen cable laying in as remote places of saarnath temple, Ganga ghat in banaras. Seems like vary strange bec if the connectivity is to provide to 4G sites the it should have not in such massive scale. Seems like they also plans to provide ftth

3G connection Problem in Bangalore

Hi, 
 
I am writing this mail to complaint about the 3G availability on my mobile. 
 
I have opted 3G few months before, but for past 2months I am not getting the 3G connection in Bangalore area. 
 
On 14th November I have lodged the first complaint(1601378820) and again I lodged anothe complaint on 16th December(1611234232). 
 
still the issue is not solved. Today I called the customer care again and they created a new Service Request for this(1616451380). 
 
But till this time I am paying the 3G rent also.
 
I am really unhappy with your services and it is prompting me to change the Service Provider. :(

Re-Transmission of Free-To-Air Channels in India

So, I came across a lot of posts all around the web about Free-To-Air Channels in India. I have gathered that as an individual, if you have the equipment to receive Free-To-Air channels in India, you can do so without having to pay anybody any fee.

What I want to do?
Now, I am looking at receiving the Free-To-Air channels at my end and then re-transmitting specifically only these Free-To-Air channels for people to access on their mobile phones. This will involve the user downloading a free mobile application for viewing these channels free of charge on their mobile.

What I want to know?
Through some places on the internet, I have learnt that:
"The FTA channel's main source of income is through Advertisement. Some of these channels even pay a fee to the service providers in order to increase their viewer base."
Considering this is true, is it legal in India to retransmit (or rebroadcast, whatever it is called) these Free-To-Air channels? This only increases the viewership of the channels and doesn't cost them anything...

Will appreciate if someone can throw some light on this!

CitiBank Credit Card: Online Transactions made complicated

From being sane Citibank just become Insane. Previously while paying online with Citibank Credit Card was easy, just needed to enter the internet banking password in place of 3D secure. But now they have made OTP mandatory and OTP is not sent but we need to request from our mobile. I tried it twice and both the times (two different days) the transaction did not go through. So if we need to transact using citi cards, we need to shell out money for sms for every transaction and which anyways did not work for me. Tried contacting them thru twitter and found out that CitiBank India does not have any presence in twitter. Its like 90s
