Hello Friends :
this is my first question.
i have Reliance broadband (BOLT 699 2048KB) internet connection with 2mbps speed and i have 2 systems installed with Windows 7.
my internet router is Billion Bipac 5200s. and Internet Switch is Netgear FS608 v2. Internet connection is working in 2 systems properly
but i want to blocked Internet Connection in any one system.. is't possible ?... Please help

hey guys i am thinking of taking bb connection frm bsnl (only isp in my area) i live in a sarkari type 4 bunglow its has 4 bsnl bb towers

3 in N and 1 in S only 1 2 connection in the 4 bunglows in my area. Cant ask them as new to them as shfted my house so plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reliance Jio today launched 4G Test Launch at IIT-Bombay Techfest. It was through Wi-Fi as compatible devices were still not available

It was data only and no voice services

They gave a presentation on Reliance jio & how 4G could be useful but did not reveal anything useful :(

Priced at Rs 1,22,360, Nirbheek was launched on January 6 and has already received around 80 formal enquiries and over 20 bookings. The ISP's are saying they dont have connectivity here....only Tikona has connectivity in my area....and i dont follow Tikona's broadband due to their ass licking service.

 

Please assist me if you live in this area , so that i can tell ISP , if they can stretch the wire from your place to me.

 

Or assist me any other ISP.

 

My requirement - no fup (thats why i want reliance) , good service , 2mbps speed .

I have been using bsnl evdo wireless modem zte evdoac8700 800m on windows xp [2 years ] now  i purchased a new computer with windows 8 installed in it i

I am not able to get internet connection with this modem on the new computer   what is the way out ?will this modem work on windows 8 ? Is there any software to be installed ? [bsnl authorities are of no help.]They advised me to install widows 7 or older versions]

It appears that the negotiations between Sony and Microsoft have ended up successfully and the Japanese company will indeed be joining the list of Windows Phone hardware manufacturers. Microsoft's Windows Phone director Greg Sullivan has confirmed that Sony will be releasing its own WP smartphone in 2014.

The new Sony smartphone will be carrying the Vaio brand, which should help you tell that it's running a different OS from the Xperia handsets. With the limited customization options provided by the Microsoft partners, the Vaio smartphone will be relying on the Sony proprietary services such as Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited to help it stand out in the crowd.


Update: Cnetnews has since retracted the story, so we guess the negotiations are still going. Hopefully it's just a delay rather than a signal that the two sides can't reach an agreement.

So On/Off news, but surely Sony and few more OEMs would be bringing WP handsets this year.

Though I doubt if anybody could beat Nokia services and apps on WP :D

I logged in to my account after 5 years. I have to sell some stock this week. I just wanted to know somethings if anyone here can help. 

 

My DMAT account is connected to my savings account. I do not remember how I started trading. I wonder if I allocated some funds from my savings account to my DMAT account for purchasing stocks? 

 

What happens when I sell stock from my DMAT account? Is the money deposited straight to my savings account? Or ICICIDirect has its own storage account for funds allocated by me for trading? 

 

Have absolutely no clue how things work! 

Very Disappointed with ACT, 8 days No connection yet

I had applied for a new connection on 18th Dec. I had given an advance of Rs. 7410 in cash to Murthy (employee id - 1667) with necessary documents. He promised me a connection with 3-4 days and maximum 7 days.

Nobody has contacted me after that day, neither have i have been given a customer id or a ticket number. I called the customer service on 4284 0000 multiple times, 4-5 times who haven't done anything. They just tell, they will forward the complaint to the concerned department and yet after that nothing has happened nor anyone has contacted me.

 

I have lost my patience you people. I could have gotten a connection from another ISP by now. After this ordeal and begging ACT to give me a connection, i will not suggest act to any of my friends or family.

hi 
this problem has been nagging me for a couple of days 
i can browse/download for a period of 10 minutes and then i get "timeout", "server error " etc for the next couple of minutes and then after 2 minutes , connection is up again . The story goes on repeating itself endlessly :(

though i am not facing disconnection but these timeouts are driving me crazy 
after ever 10 mins or so :(  
previously i was on 550 combo ,changed it to combo 650  on the 2nd of this month ,all was working well for a day and then this started happening .

India will be officially declared "polio-free" on January 13 by the World Health Organisation. There hasn't been a new case of polio in three years, but the threat of re-infection from across the border looms large.
India's last polio case – a two-year-old girl in the Panchla block of Howrah, West Bengal – was reported on January 13, 2011. But nationwide immunisation drives continued and will go on.
"The risk of importation (of polio virus) is real and has increased since 2013 with outbreaks in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East, in addition to the continuing poliovirus transmission in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria. Since 2000, 49 countries that were polio-free suffered from one or more importations of wild poliovirus," said Nicole Deutsch, polio chief, UNICEF India.
Of the total 372 polio cases in 2013, 85 were from Pakistan and 12 from Afghanistan. Somlia had the biggest outbreak with 183 cases — it had been polio-free since 2007. The polio strain was traced to Nigeria, which reported 51 cases. Syria, Cameroon, Ethiopia and Kenya also had outbreaks after being declared polio-free in 2012.
