India Broadband Forum Feed

Need a wireless broadband for streaming videos.

Hi, I live in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Here in the city there are many ISP available but my area is not feasible by any ISP except BSNL and here BSNL broadband( wire-line) really sucks. Its upload speed is pathetic. Right now I am using BSNL Evdo its good for download but upload speed, I really don't except more from it.

Even in this city only reliance broadband have good upload speed which gives near 1 mbps upload speed.

Suggest me a wireless broadband which gives me good upload speed. And also it should be unlimited. 3G and MTS like EVDO services are not unlimited and they are too much expensive.

 

I only had seen a video on YouTube of Reliance WiMax which gives more than 1 mbps upload speed. But only one video which is not sufficient for trusting.

What I need only good upload speed.

@mentions

Presence
Working together is easier when you know whether someone is online. You can see someone's presence in multiple places on Quip — even what folder or document they're in. Your Contacts list also shows you who's online, what device they're using, and what they're working on, as well as when your offline contacts were last online.

Read receipts
Read receipts appear at the bottom of each document thread. They're an easy way to see who's read your edits or the messages you've sent. You can see who's read the most recent updates, and when everyone is up-to-date, the text will change to "Read by everyone".

Interactive checklists
One of the formatted list options is a checklist, which turns your document from a static piece of paper into an interactive task list. Manage your grocery list with a roommate, your personal to-do's, or your team task list.

Chat tabs
When you're using Quip in a browser, chat tabs enable you to easily view and respond to messages regardless of what document you're working on. When a new message is sent in one of your documents or threads, a chat tab will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. You can respond inside the chat tab or click through to the document itself.

Will parallel line cause issues?

hi friends my house has a parallel line for the broadband landline, one in bedroom and 2nd in the hall. the bedroom line has the landline connected, however the hall does not have a phone connected  and is just idle. the broadband in charge at the exchange said that even though there is no instrument connected the parallel line would cause disconnection issues for 8mbps broadband!!! Is that true?? Am i better off getting a new line which will have no parallel line?? I am tired of this problem since last 20 days...

XOLO Windows Phone

After Micromax, another Indian brand XOLO has announced their plans to launch Windows Phone.



The executive also revealed that XOLO is working on Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones and Windows tablets.
 
"We are likely to launch the first XOLO Windows Phone by early next quarter, which will make us the first Indian smartphone maker to launch Windows Phone in India," Sehgal said.
 
On pricing of Windows devices, Sehgal said, "Pricing of these devices would be no different from the prices of XOLO Android smartphones and tablets. XOLO Windows Phone smartphones would be priced in the $150-$300 range."
 
"There is certainly an ecosystem cost attached to the Windows OS, which is higher. But it's an early stage scenario, as time goes by, we believe that it will also get neutralised," he further added.

Cant Logout from my Reliance Broadband Page

Hello, I am using Reliance Broadband Thunder 699 plan. I am having a weird issue from yesterday. I Logged in with my Reliance id and pass as I usually do since last 2-3 years, but suddenly yesterday I tried logout from my reliance page before going to sleep but it didn't let me log out from it so i gave up and closed my computer on that time. Today morning when I turned on my computer and thought of logging in I came to see that it started with my google page which means I am already logged in but reliance usually automatic logs out after 30mins of inactivity. So i went to reliancebroadband login page to check and saw I was connected to someone elses account. i tried logging out lots of times and it didn't let me log out of it. I unpluged the broadband cable for 1 hour and tried plugging in and it seems its not logging me out seems like it automatically logs me in. So I tried plugging in a different computer and saw that I am receiving my log in page as usual there but whenever I plug it in this computer it logs me in this strangers account. Help me give me some suggestion on how to log out of this account. I am using Windows 7.

I have moved to Kaspate Wasti (Sonigara Kesar) apartments and looking for good broadband connection. I already tried Tata Photon and it SUCKSSSSSS. I havent seen anything more pathetic than that. Please suggest me if there is any other internet provider in that area and any contact number to them....thanks in advance...

InCable net is advertising speeds of 10 Mbps. Can anyone please tell me the actual speed one gets with incablenet broadband for download & upload. you can go to speedtest.net and check speed.
