Posted: 02 Nov 2013 11:19 PM PDT Hello, I just ported into reliance from bpl and the only reason for porting was for 3g and sadly i havent got that to work. Could you please provide me with settings of 3g, i am a postpaid suscriber. Will be using on my iphone 4. I tried rcomnet and smartinet as the APN but i get an error in safari saying "could not activate cellular data network" "you are not subscribed to a cellular data service'. Called the CC helpline as well he told me to keep rcomnet as the APN and restart the phone. It didnt work. Called up once again and the other guy sent me settings through sms which dont work in an iphone. I even left all fields blank as you are to do on vodafone even that didnt work. Would some one kindly let me know the settings. Thanks in advance |
Posted: 02 Nov 2013 09:28 PM PDT Applied for a connection on the 21st of October, 2013 and so far no news from ACT people. They took the documents and that is it.

Reliance customer care foolling people Posted: 02 Nov 2013 09:18 PM PDT Hello
From last 24 hours i am not able to use internet properly due to frequent disconnection and slow speed. Today i started chat session with relaince customer care .
I am using 800 Kbps , unlimited plan. Reliance chat exective told me they are liable only for 10% . means they are liable only for 100 kbps. [ using on 1 pc only ]
why we are paying for full money ? We are liable only for 10% plan fees.
Q 4. What is the permissible minimum Broadband speed limit? A. As per the regulation on "Quality of Service standards for Broadband Services" issued by TRAI on 6th May, 2006, a subscriber should get minimum 80% of the subscribed broadband connection speed from ISP Node to user. |
Posted: 02 Nov 2013 09:16 PM PDT On 1st Oct 2013 the bonus card plan BC 34 (it give local calls at 40p/min) expired, & I renewed it on 7th Oct 2013 for which I received a sms 'Dear customer thankyou for activating BC 34 which will give Local mobile call rates at 40p/min. This promo has been activated on autorenewal and will be renewed'. This should have expired on 7th Nov 2013. But today I got an sms 'Priya grahak BC 34 agle 30 dino ke liye appke account main renew ho gaya hai. Is offer ke liye aapke account se Rs 34 ka balance debit kiya gaya hai. Luft uthay ein Local mobile calls@40p/min ka 30 dino ke liye'. Please note I had not asked for this auto renewal crap. So I have lost an entire week. Looks like Vodafone systems don't know how to count. I know this cannot be a one off case but an institutionalised skimming going on but even by Vodafone standards skimming ONE ENTIRE WEEK is over the top. So anyone else who gets this 'benefit' from Voda be warned. |

You Broadband has the worst service Posted: 02 Nov 2013 07:42 PM PDT It was down for 18 days. Service is pathetic. I am fed up and so as my friends. I regret by taking you BB. Customer support people says we are facing some issue, sorry for that, thats all they do. in between it started working and now every alternate day it doesn't work. I have used BSNL, Hathway & You till now. Among all worst is YOU. Now yet to try Airtel & ACT. If you have which is better among Airtel & ACT, let me know. All I need is properly working connection.

My Dlink router and its problems on BSNL Posted: 02 Nov 2013 07:38 PM PDT I use DLINK 2730U on BSNL Broadband. ![]() Since September, our modem (or maybe broadband connection) is facing lots of problems. At night the left most light becomes red and all the other lights are dead. But once in a while that light becomes green along with second last light. When this happens i have to enter 192.168.1.1 and configure the settings as if the modem is brand new. After that only the last light becomes green and i can access internet ..but only on wifi devices like laptops and phones My PC which is connected to the modem does not get internet. The Router problem doesn't end there, out of the blue the last light goes off and i have to enter 192.168.1.1 again and again and set it up again again its like a daily chore just to access the internet, and that too when my modem light is NOT RED . Plz help How do i configure my PC to get internet ?? How to stop my modem light to becomes RED and other light to become dead How to make my modem remember settings so that i dnt have to reconfigure twice or thrice a day |

Airtel Rs 2000 router plan on datacard? Posted: 02 Nov 2013 05:49 PM PDT anyone who represents airtel here who can tell me why this is not possible? and why are you asking us to pay 2999 for 45GB in datacard when RS 2000 (40GB) plan is available only for a home CPE router which is overpriced??
I'm pretty sure if the 2000 Plan is available for datacard, many of your costumers would gladly go for it!
Regards, Nik |

Posted: 02 Nov 2013 01:48 PM PDT I guess no one posted about this which has rocked the internet for the last 24 hours or so.
Apparently, leaked reports claim that US Government (NSA) has direct access to almost all mobile carrier networks and web giants. They record details related to all phone calls that take place in and from and to usa. And they have direct access to servers operated by tech giants like Microsoft, Google, Facebook etc.
Guardian and Washington Post broke the news within hours of each other.
Here are some primary sources of links:
Google CEO Larry Page has just issued an official statement denying their involvement in any such program: http://goo.gl/vXytF
Feel free to add other (useful and original) sources of information. If possible official statements from companies named in this scandal. Apparently, all companies named in the reports have denied involvement: http://goo.gl/4mc2a |
