Funny Videos, Images and Jokes Posted: 26 Oct 2013 03:01 AM PDT MS staff There was a pilot flying a small single engine charter plane, with a couple of very important executives on board. He was coming into Seattle airport through thick fog with less than 10m visibility when his instruments went out. So he began circling around looking for landmark. After an hour or so, he starts running pretty low on fuel and the passengers are getting very nervous. Finally, a small opening in the fog appears and he sees a tall building with one guy working alone on the fifth floor. The pilot banks the plane around, rolls down the window and shouts to the guy "Hey! Where am I?" To this, the solitary office worker replies "You're in a plane." The pilot rolls up the window, executes a 275 degree turn and proceeds to execute a perfect blind landing on the runway of the airport 5 miles away. Just as the plane stops, so does the engine as the fuel has run out. The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it. "Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away." __________________________________________________________ Is Windows a virus? No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do: They replicate quickly Okay, Windows does that Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so okay, Windows does that Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk Okay, Windows does that, too Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems Sigh... Posted: 26 Oct 2013 02:52 AM PDT on 31 august, my broadband was not working so I filed a complaint on selfcare portal, which had this status "Assigned to DE", but I was never contacted by anyone from bsnl and my internet just started working the next day, so I didn't bothered to look at it again... now today my landline as well as broadband is not working again. When i tried to file a complaint on selfcare, it showed me that i can't log another complaint until my previous one is resolved, which still had the same status as it was almost 50 days ago.. so, is there any way that i can just cancel my old complaint and file a new one??? I really wanna avoid going to the bsnl office to file a complaint coz according to my past experiencewith them, each and every person there is a typical government employee(lazy, ignorant and complete as**oles) |

The general cricket discussion thread Posted: 26 Oct 2013 01:16 AM PDT Why this thread? So often, we have some random thought or point to make/discuss , and I personally sometimes skip it as I feel it is not worthy of a new thread & feel its unfair to hijack an existing thread... Would recommend creating new thread for any big news & as usual we have threads for specific series/tournaments.. This is for something general random posts related to cricket...Kind of the Cricket Offtopic thread... Will start with one post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Misbah & Taibu seem to competing with each other for the prize of who can bat more defensively.... ---------- After beating NZ in the 3rd ODI with a draing chase... Now Zimbabwe are on verge on possibly upsetting them in the Only Test... 116 needed in 34 Overs (Incl mandatory Overs) with the new ball just taken |
Star World Premiere on Airtel DTH Posted: 26 Oct 2013 01:12 AM PDT Hi Guys,
Does anybody have a clue as to when will Airtel DTH start the SWP channel on it's network. Tata SKY, Videocon and D2H has already started broadcasting.
I bought Airtel because it used to get new channels frequently but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

How to activate GPRS internet plan on BSNL mobile connection ? Posted: 26 Oct 2013 12:24 AM PDT Does anyone have any any idea on how to activate GPRS internet plans on BSNL mobile connection ? It is easy on other providers like Airtel as you have to just send a code message and the amount is deducted from the main balance on activation. Is there any such facility for BSNL mobile connection also or we have to run to the BSNL office for activating even small GPRS packs like Rs 14 also ? |
Tikona Broadband User Experiences Posted: 26 Oct 2013 12:04 AM PDT Thought I would start another thread for people who have actually used this service to describe their experience. They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me. I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them. So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated. |

Posted: 25 Oct 2013 08:57 PM PDT Friends, instead of starting new thread for each news, I thought of opening a separate thread for F1 news. So, here I start... Standardising Formula One machinery Five-year FIA cost-culling plan revealed 15/10/08 A British newspaper has revealed the FIA's five-year plan to radically slash costs, with the body's president arguing Formula One has become 'unsustainable'. The centrepiece of the package, to be discussed with the F1 teams' alliance FOTA next week in Geneva, is the standardisation of expensive car parts that add little to the show. The London publication The Times claims that Bernie Ecclestone, the Chief Executive of F1's commercial rights holder, backs the Max Mosley-devised plan to 'dramatically' cut costs. Among the measures is the introduction of a controversial standard engine design for 2010, additional energy recovery systems and fuel-efficient engines for 2013, and many 'common parts' for the chassis. "We are completely open to new ideas," Mosley, albeit insisting that engines must be made available to small teams at a low cost, said in a letter to the team bosses. An FIA spokesman said he will not comment prior to the meeting. F1 : Standardising Formula One machinery - FIA - F1-Live.com |
