Metronet (Bell Teleservices) in Bangalore - 10 Mbps for Rs. 1699

I finally found an ISP (a local cable provider) with 10 Mbps UL Plans, well atleast with 100gb FUP & 1Mbps after for Rs. 1699. They call themselves Maruti Network & operate on 'Metronet' (Belltele.in) network, could not find much info on their website: www.metrotelecom.in but the local cable guy from Maruti network gave me this flyer:

The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away."

hey guys

in my tikona connection i am getting very slow speeds while watching online videos and streaming services(getting aroung 600kbps) but when i am downloading the speeds are very good(2mbps)

tikona cust care is hhelpless as they just say "plug out ur jack frm wifi router....plug in your lan cable "and everything will be fine (which doesnt make sense as even if i connect to directly through lan or wifi router speeds should b same)

what should i do???is it tikona net fault or some settings in my comp...(noote when i was using hathway under same settings i didnt have problem as such )

Tata Docomo 2G/3G connection Problem

Its been a month since I started using TATAT DOCOMO postpaid connection with rs 350 plan, which promises me 1GB 3G internet + 2G unlimited internet. But as soon I took the connection I realised that TATA DOCOMO internet connets once, stays on for 30 minutes and after that disconnects. It doesnt connect back for the entire day(How many ever times you try). The next day I either have to switch off/on or Remove/Reinsert my SIM to connect the internet back again. I have raised several complaints with Tata Docmo Customer Care regarding this. The solution they gave was to "IP Pooling issue for the entire of karnataka Circle, so Keep turning off/on the data to reconnect back and occasionally try switch off/on also". I am tired of turning off/on my data connection on my MOTOROLA ATRIX 2. My question is when TATA DOCOMO can't provide the service promised, why should I pay their postpaid bill? I feel cheated by this geasture of TATA DOCOMO. Please provide me valuable suggestion to file a Consumer Complaint regarding the same. Customer complaint numbers are 759078273, 381921313

Red Bull Racing has confirmed that it has signed Sebastian Vettel to partner Mark Webber in its 2009 driver line-up.
A vacancy opened up at the Milton Keynes-based squad following David Coulthard's decision to retire at the end of this season, and Vettel has been widely tipped for promotion from Red Bull's 'B' team Toro Rosso.
However there has also been speculation that RBR was trying to entice double world champion Fernando Alonso away from Renault, but the Spaniard remains non-committal about his plans for next year and has been linked to a move to Ferrari in 2010.
Team principal Christian Horner said he was confident that, despite Vettel's youth and relative inexperience, the 21-year-old German was the right choice.
"We are delighted that Sebastian will be joining us next year," said Horner.
"With David Coulthard announcing his retirement as a Formula 1 driver a fortnight ago at the British Grand Prix, after careful consideration, it seemed natural to announce his replacement here at Sebastian's home race in Hockenheim.
"As he was already part of the Red Bull family, choosing Sebastian as Mark Webber's team-mate was not a difficult decision.

A tweet by Sanjay Manjrekar on Tuesday gave an indication to an extent of the workings of cricket television in India and the tricky territory in which its commentators must operate. The tweet was addressed to Sundar Raman, the IPL chief operating officer. It read: "Sundar, I have now been kicked off from studio for Ind/Aus by star. Don't you think this is a bit harsh? I have a contract with them." The tweet was deleted almost immediately and Manjrekar later explained via another tweet that it was a "segment of private chat that erroneously got onto twitter."

 

 

While Star owns the media rights, production is handled by the BCCI - which means the board can decide the roster of commentators on its "world-feed" broadcast which is sent around the cricket-watching globe.

 

 

 

Along with that goal, one of the key requirements for a BCCI world-feed commentator, apart from knowledge of cricket and reasonable grasp of English, is the willingness to avoid a list of taboo subjects during commentary. Ian Chappell declined an offer of a commentary stint because he was told he would have to follow BCCI restrictions.Chappell told Hindustan Times on Tuesday that when he asked what the restrictions were he was told he couldn't talk about Indian selection, DRS or administrative matters. "I responded saying I didn't feel I could do my job properly under those circumstances and therefore declined the offer," Chappell said.

The impact of the restrictions during that series was reflected in the quality and tenor of the commentary - catches that went down after hitting MS Dhoni on the wrist and Virat Kohli on the chest were called "half chances" and there was no comment passed on the state of the pitch for the Delhi Test, which ended inside three days.

The IPL, known for its higher pitch of commentary, witnessed another episode of message control following an ebullient pre-match introduction of Kohli by Danny Morrison and HD Ackerman earlier this year. Both Morrison and Ackerman made references to Kohli as a "possible future captain" of India and "captain-in-waiting."

 

They were reprimanded "quite badly" for talking about what was a "selectors' decision." A commentators' roster for the play-off final was announced earlier than usual and neither man found himself on it. During the recently-concluded Champions League T20, the list of taboo topics included the sight of empty stands.

 

So, basically, there is no real point in listening to the commentary on matches in India.
