The UEFA Champions League Thread

Posted: 11 Feb 2013 03:01 AM PST

So the Champions League KO stages are upon us. These are the fixtures that start from next week.

Galatasaray - Schalke 04
Celtic - Juventus
Arsenal - Bayern Munich
Shakhtar Donetsk - Borussia Dortmund
Milan - Barcelona
Real Madrid - Manchester United
Valencia - Paris Saint-Germain
Porto - Málaga

I think other than Porto-Malaga and Valencia-PSG, every fixture is gonna be great. A pity many great teams can go out in this round. But it should all make for an interesting round.

Personally, I've been a dedicated Juventus fan, so tomorrow's match at Celtic Park is gonna be crucial. It's a must win, and the worst we should accept is a 1-1 draw.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Just want to be bit more clear, the DSL modem wont work, the wireless router will. However you will need a VDSL modem, I believe.

we were discussing about subtitles in some thread. cannot locate it. found some details from one of the contributors...

Quote:

Transcribing a subtitle from scratch is hard work. Many subtitles on the site were captured from the TV feed (ie, the closed captions you see on TV). The team resyncs, correct, and cleans them up, but you still have to wait for the show to actually air in an English speaking market. That's why most early WebDL releases (sometimes over a month early) don't have subtitles until the show actually airs on TV. Sometimes, shows air earlier in some markets (typically, Brazil/Portugal or Italy). That's why we see these Purtuguese and Italian subs.
