Posted: 15 Oct 2012 03:29 AM PDT that's what i said. i do not think microsoft as clearly stated that oem editions can be upgraded using the 40 dollar package. but i do not see why it would not work. and yes, release preview is supposed to support proper upgrade to final edition of win 8 pro. |
My Vodafone 3G experience, just so you know. Posted: 15 Oct 2012 03:28 AM PDT This problem happens with every operator. This is common cheating practice adopted by each and every operator. If you ask for discontinue their service to CC on phone. The standard reply of this CC is "Sorry Sir, Our system is in maintenance. Try to call after 4 hrs." I have got this reply 9/10 times. No matter who the operator are. |
Posted: 15 Oct 2012 03:27 AM PDT Logitech's K810 keyboard pairs with up to three devices, has a button for switching apps in Windows 8 -- Engadget Quote: As it turns out, the outfit wasn't quite finished unveiling its Win 8 lineup: the company just outed the Illuminated Bluetooth Keyboard K810, which has a hotkey for toggling between open programs. It also features Easy Switch, a technology first introduced on the K760 that allows the device to pair with up to three Bluetooth-enabled devices at once, regardless of the OS. As for the switching bit, each paired device gets assigned to one of three function keys; just press the button to start using the keyboard with that device. In theory, then, you could have the same keyboard hooked up to your PC, tablet and phone, and be able to type on all of them from minute to minute, though that admittedly seems like an unlikely scenario. ![]() |

Apple iPhone FaceTime activation on Idea Cellular Posted: 15 Oct 2012 03:04 AM PDT I have vodafone and BSNL micosim and it works perfectly on iPhone with Facetime activation and all. The only concern was 3G speed. I found nice 3G speed with IDEA and thought I will port to IDEA for iPhone. Another point is the number is from MH and I work in Bangalore. I do have Bangalore numbers but wanted to keep my MH number for iPhone. While on roaming, IDEA network shows INA SPICE and when enable 3G, it catches IDEA 3G or Airtel 3G. When I disable the 3G button and work on 2G (E), I can able to receive incoming calls. But as soon as I enable 3G, I don't receive any calls. I registered complaint physically 2 times. Today I received SMS saying your problem is solved. I rechecked it and nothing solved. And also noticed that roaming charges for 3G are costly even if you have DATA Pack. SO I will have to switch to Vodafone but I have to wait for 2 months. Anybody can tell if Vodafone 3G is roaming is free or not across KA, MH states? Forgot to mention I can receives every calls when on 3G for both Vodafone and BSNL also. |
