HI
so i bought this bsnl card yesterday and tested it on my friends mobile.Everything was fine..he accessed speedtest.net on his mobile and got a speed of 1.58 mbps\

However when i tried using it on my PC not a single website is opening.

Utorrent working fine..getting speeds of 2mbps.Only websites not opening

tried the following dns addressed all failed-
Google Public DNS
8.8.4.4
8.8.8.8
BSNL Broadband
61.1.96.69
61.1.96.71
218.248.255.145
218.248.255.177
218.248.255.193
MTNL Broadband
203.94.243.70
203.94.227.70
59.185.3.12
59.185.3.10
59.185.0.23
59.185.0.50
OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

I repeat downloads working fine on Utorrent. So i think this is a DNS problem as NO websotes are opening

Any solutions??

No. CDMA/EVDO data card doesn't support 3G sim. Both works on different technologies. But it doesn't hurt to experiment, I guess.

Vodafone has finally woken up 3GB for Rs 198

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 02:37 AM PST

weird. if i renew twice for 98 bucks on airtel. it would consume the charge both the times but would still give me 2GB for the next 30 days. :D

are you sure vodafone does not do it like that?

android 2.3 also has an app named download that shows the files that are downloaded from the web and other sources. but a file manager is different.

one of the biggest problem for me has been the involvement of the former Infosys boss in the project.

The Airtel love story with a very sad decline and ending (lil' scoop on FUP too!)

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 02:28 AM PST

TO hell with Airtel, dump it for Reliance wireline broadband or BSNL, or even MTNL. They dont have any FUPs even in 1mbps or 2mbps plans. I have decided to finally get rid of my everyday stress of having to deal with Airtel's ****ing FUP.
