| Wireless Modem/Router Suggestions Posted: 16 Sep 2010 02:52 AM PDT For MTNL Mumbai if one chooses the UL plans then CPE rent is not charged. I am not sure about Delhi. I have mentioned some models in my above posts, as a thumb the models that home users buy have approx similar range. It's very difficult to predict here whether you will receive the signal on the first floor as a lot depends on the location where you place the wifi router plus the type of obstructions to the signal eg walls, floor, tinted glass etc.

I told him there is a pretty shitty Fair Usage Policy of 25 GB on the plan. The guy insisted that there will not be in my case. lol I was using Rs2999 plan... tdy gt a call frm confirmation team telliing me the same thing tht I was telling tht guy...tht after 25GB speeds go to 256 Kbps. super pissed at airtel who made me continue because of giving me false info....the guy frm airtel who called me had given a no. to incase if any problems....I after wasting 20 min on trying to contact on tht no..it finally rang.... wasted another 10 min in xplaing the problem to someother guy who picked up... Finally who the guy who I had spoken to earlier came on the phone....tld him tht he gave me wrong info...he said "sir kal tak his senors said there is no Fair Usage Policy on it nd tdy there is 25GB Fair Usage Policy" bd then said sry 1st nd told me to continue on my xting plan nd he cant do anything else.....ya thts airtel retention DEPT. so all this was super waste of time.....nd effort. THX! to airtel.... I was waiting fr Hayi to get into my neighborhood....but no one knws when they will be here.....I think even MC doesn't as to when they can get here :D I am nt sure if I would like to use MTNL...becz most ppl are complaining if there is problem it takes them days to solve....lack of techi help too by cc.....but I dnt need any techi help once everything is set up properly. what shall I do lol....leave airtel nd shift to MTNL nd save about Rs800 PM. or stay with airtel nd wait fr a miracle to happen :D I just cant afford long downtimes.....if that is with MTNL BB...I dnt get any downtime with airtel :D I wish Hayai BB was here would have been an easy shift then :)

| BSNL 3G sim bought in Bangalore does not work in Gujarat Posted: 16 Sep 2010 12:32 AM PDT whats the apn you are using ? make sure to use bsnlnet apn, this should work in roaming also. incase you use gprssouth, it will only work in sourthern states if you are not able to access using bsnlnet apn, send GPRSPRE to 53733, with in 24hrs you should be get going with bsnlnet apn
