How is Tikona Broadband in Bangalore?

First of all, I don't have any other options for broadband as AirTel has ruled out the feasibility for a connection due to lack of ports in my apartment and ACT BB, who is my current ISP does not have feasibility to transfer my connection to my new apartment. 

I am planning to avail Tikona's 4 Mbps, Rs.1,499 plan which has a FUP (ppl say Fair usage but I call it f**k*** usage policy). I wanted to know the feedback of Tikona BB before I jump into the well.

Getting New BSNL Broadband Connection: Want Modem Info!

Hello Broadband Forum,
 
I'm getting a new BSNL Broadband Connection with the unlimited plan (with my telecom circle). I have opted to purchase the modem myself, thus deciding not to go for the device that BSNL provides.
 
I've read a ton of posts here regarding what modem/router .. yada yada yada... to go for.. But I would still like to have some help!!
 
I intend to use my Broadband connection for connecting to the Internet wirelessly to my Dell Studio Laptop, as well as my Smartphone. In addition, I also intend to connect to the Internet through Ethernet, albeit occasionally.
 
I have read very highly about TP-LINK's networking products. I have also experienced one of their products while using the Internet at one of my relatives'.
 
Anyways, cutting to the chase, the following is the Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router that I intend on purchasing:
 
Model : TP-LINK W8151ND

Kindly advise, as to
whether this would be the right choice for BSNL broadband or not?

AAP has already confirmed that Yogendra Yadav would be their candidate from Gurgaon. 

Current MP is Rao Inderjit Singh who won on a Congress seat but moved to BJP few months ago. 

 

And there are now reports that Congress might field Sharmila Tagore as their candidate from Gurgaon.

BlackBerry could launch a new smartphone at the MWC, dubbed the Z3 and the device is likely to be a mid-ranger one unlike the Z30 and the Z10, says a new report in BBIN.

According to the report, the Z3 smartphone which is being manufactured along with Foxconn could be priced between Rs 10,000-Rs 13,000. The smartphone will have a 5-inch display with a qHD resolution (540×960 pixels), a 5-megapixel primary camera and a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. Internal storage s expected to be 8GB (no word about a microSD card slot) and the RAM is said to be 1 GB.

BSNL Broadband Connectivity Drops

Hello,

I am using BSNL Broadband for a couple of years now and except for occasional 'server' ( as the staff calls them ), i have had a smooth ride. Unfortunately it all changed last week, when i started seeing this problem of connectivity drop. The connection stays good for 10 mins, drops for 3 mins and comes back for another cycle of 10+3 minutes. I thought the issue may disappear by itself, but now after one week it has been really annoying and is hampering productivity.

A call to BSNL Customer care did not yield much except for 'will check' comment.

 

I have searched various other threads on this forum and most of them discuss about a 'bad line'. I tried the tricks provided there but the issue doesnt seem similar, as i get good SNR and Attenuation no.s as shown below:

I have checked these during the connectivity and disconnection periods, and they don't change much.

 

Only thing that changes in two senarios is the output of Diagnostics:

During Connection , most of the Connection test as labeled PASS, while during the period of Disconnection, they are FAIL.

 

I have checked my Splitter settings and they seem just fine.

Also, during the Disconnection interval, all the four LEDs, PWR, INET, DSL and WLAN become standstill, that is, it doesnt show that conenction is lost.

Guys i want to buy a smartphone for myself in the month of may(bday :pleasantry: ). Kindly suggest whether i should go for android(nexus 5) or iOS(i5s). Actually i am more inclined towards iphone, would also like to wait if new one is releasing in June. But i am impressed by Nexus 5. Confused between the two. I dont think its a point to invest 15k more for a fingerprint scanner n few features. But atlast iphone is an iphone. So can anyone suggest which one is better of the two? And i dont want any other options, Sony, sammy, etc. My current phone is Desire SV.

I want a high speed broadband in Nangloi, Delhi-110041. (Wireless broadband is preferred as i live on rent here).

I can spend 800-900rs per month or upto 5000rs for 6months.

Usages- at least 20GB/month with unlimited plan.

 

Current i'm using MTNL 3G data card it has pathetic speed, (only 100-150 kbps in internet download manager) with 4500rs for 6months giving free 200GB.

 

Please hekp me choosing best internet.
