| PF Issue resolved using EPFIGMS site Posted: 29 Oct 2013 02:37 AM PDT I had initiated the transfer of PF from my previous org to the new company, late last year and though both my companies confirmed that they completed their part by March-April this year, I was not seeing any updates. For some reason I could not follow up & based on some suggestion was about to use the RTI route when someone suggested complaining at the grievance portal http://epfigms.gov.in/ .
I submitted with proof of submission (from both of my companies) & I got a mail that transfer is received and will be getting the credit. So looks like it really worked To add, I got the response within a week, which seems hard to believe... |

| Any suggestion for ISP near Saket , New Delhi ! Posted: 29 Oct 2013 01:29 AM PDT Hey , i live near saket (specifically lado sarai area ) . BUDGET is around 1k or so , SPEED well around 2 mbps would be appreciated .
Basically i need enough so i can play online with decent pings (DOTA 2 ) , decent youtube surfing , not much of a download freak , here and there few episodes of season and animes !!
Have gone through various plans , forums , reviews and well here are my conclusions :
1 . tikona 2 mbps 999 (no FUP BTW ) : I fell on this plan , literally , and then the horror stories of the users in the forums mad the concentration camps hitler used seem like heaven !!!i contacted them on their customer care , been 15 days since a demo promise has been made , if such is their response before the connection is given , m not really sure about it now !
2 . spectranet : 1199 1.5 mbps : Not much idea , alrt reviews , 4 days since contacted , awaiting response
3 . reliance thunder : 699 2 mbps no fup : just came across it , fell for it , then the reviews at mouthshut shut me up !!! really mixed reviews.
Since i live in proper delhi , is it wrong to expect decent connection from all these local isp since in main city we might expect the network to be pretty strong as opposed to the reviews ? any help would be really appreciated , especially people who are living nearby !! |

| BSNL Broadband: How to Troubleshoot Frequent Disconnection Posted: 28 Oct 2013 11:24 PM PDT 1. Post your SNR and Attenuation values. Table for speed less than 8 Mbps  If your values are bad, ask the line man to give a clean line. Make sure there are no joints or non insulated parts. 2. Make sure all connections come after splitter. Follow this diagram  Bypass the splitter, connect the line directly to the modem and check. 3. Check if splitter or ethernet cable is faulty. Use a spare one and check. 4. If possible get a friend's modem and check. That will confirm if modem is faulty or not. 5. Do you get power reset ? If yes, check modem's power adpater and make sure it is functioning well. 6. Try GDMT mode in modem and check. |

customer service is very responsive but they dont help solve problem except saying"All the installed CPE is working perfectly and you should be able to get the speeds......we will ask our technical team to contact you"...their technical team does contact in time but not with a viable solution

| DSL 2750U Internet disconnecting Posted: 28 Oct 2013 08:13 PM PDT I got Dlink DSL 2750U on Saturday and I'm seeing internet disconnecting every hour someone suggested to untick Keep Alive which didn't helped I have the same modem since last 2.5 years but it was giving me problems so got a new one , ISP is MTNL below are ADSL settings.My older router does not drops any connections
Can anyone compare with there modem settings

I have bought a second hand BSNL Teracom U-500 data card and I am going to buy a CDMA sim to activate EVDO services. So do I need to go through any process or just slide-in SIM and start using EVDO? I asked a person on this forum he is able to connect to only 1X mode. |
