So often, we have some random thought or point to make/discuss , and I personally sometimes skip it as I feel it is not worthy of a new thread & feel its unfair to hijack an existing thread... Would recommend creating new thread for any big news & as usual we have threads for specific series/tournaments.. This is for something general random posts related to cricket...Kind of the Cricket Offtopic thread... Will start with one post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Misbah & Taibu seem to competing with each other for the prize of who can bat more defensively.... ---------- After beating NZ in the 3rd ODI with a draing chase... They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me. I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them. So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated. |

Rite now iam on Airtel 1MBPS in day 2MBPS in night unlimited(NO FUP as well) legacy plan. This plan is costing me around 1900rs per month so i want to change my ISP. I dont download constantly (only when there is a new game or a tv show season is out) so i dont consume that much. Hence please suggest me a ISP who provides good speed and reasonable FUP at reasonable price.

This hdd crashed few days back .. So I ordered this one from flipkart
The new hdd is somewhat thinner than the old one .. but the sockets r same .. So I guess they r compatible with my lappy ..
Now the issue is .. When I add this hdd to my lappy the BIOS shows "Hard disk drive" as Atapi .. While the old one showed "320GB" ..
So basically I think hdd is getting detected by bios .. (lemme know if I am wrong) .. Although the Viao flash screen keep showing for good 20-30 seconds .. Whereas on the other hdd it just show for 2-3seconds ..
The issue is after the viao flash screen .. I get the message "No Operating system found" .. and when I try installing windows 8 it don't show me any hdd available to set the windows on .. So windows setup don't basically detect any hdd ..
My query is .. Is the hdd defected? Is it compatible with my lappy? or is there any other issue .. |

How to buy it if it doesn't launch in india?
From what I know here are my options ;-
1 - Ask a US friend to buy it for you and then ship it to you. (without him coming to india) 2 - Buy it from services like iShopInternational. 3 - Buy it with using proxy services and get it here - long process.
I have understood the 2nd and 3rd option and it's process but don't know the first process and how it works?
First thing is - how to even send him the cash? I have only debit card here with me with NEFT, will that work? There are services like western union but I don't know how that works. Let me know how to send him cash and don't get charged much, minimum charges please.
Ok, Say I have a friend who is willing to pay for the device at play store, then he uses fedex , etc courier companies to send the phone here. Will I be charged less money by this option ? I also have heard if someone gift wraps the item and sends it to you , no custom charges will be there... is that true?
I haven't really ordered something from outside india, So I don't know. |
