Get 2Mbps Download Speed on Freedom 800 Plan Posted: 06 Mar 2013 03:30 AM PST I Just resetted my modem at 08:30pm on 28/04/2012 and see the result |
Posted: 06 Mar 2013 03:29 AM PST Reading a lot about it. Looks like I missed the boat. Supposed to be the latest viral hit on the internet. Could not find the particular music video on YouTube. This one comes at the top but is audio only. |

Best affordable MTNL Broadband Plans for heavy downloaders in Delhi? Posted: 06 Mar 2013 03:25 AM PST In my opinion, Freedom 800 Combo plan (with 100 local calls free) is best plan for heavy downloaders right now. In this plan 1. Download speed from 2300hrs to 0800hrs is 2 mbps 2. Download speed from 0800hrs am to 2300hrs is 512 kbps Now the best part, If you got this plan, PM me to know something special about this plan. (pujaari , is it now OK?) So let's check why I am saying this plan as Cheapest. In Ideal conditions 1. Assume you are getting exact speed, that MTNL is advertising i.e. for 599 UL plan - 512kbps, for 999 UL - 1024 kbps, for 1899 UL plan - 2048 kbps, and for Freedom 800 plan - 512kbps for 08:00 am to 11:00 pm and 2048kbps for 11:00 pm to 08:00 am. 2. Assume you download 24x7 without break for a 30 days month. Now for 599 plan you will download = 512kbps => 512x60x60 => 1843200kilo bits per hour => 1843200/8 => 230400 kilo bytes per hour => 23040x24x30 => 165888000 kilo bytes per month => 165888000/1024 => 162000 mega Bytes per month i.e. 162000/599 =270.45 mega Bytes per Rupees you spent. For Rs. 999 plan you will download = 1024kbps => 1024x60x60x24x30/8 => 331776000 kilo Bytes per month => 331776000/1024 => 324000 mega Bytes per month i.e. 324000/999 = 324.32 mega Bytes per Rupees you spent. For Rs. 1899 plan you will download 648000 mega Bytes per month i.e. 648000/1899 = 341.23 mega Bytes per Rupees you spent. For Rs. 3499 plan you will download 1296000 mega Bytes per month i.e. 129000/3499 = 370.39 mega Bytes per Rupees you spent. For Rs 800 Freedom plan, you will download 512kbps from 08:00 am to 11:00 pm => 512x60x60x15x30/8 = 103680000 kilo Bytes per month => 103680000/1024 = 101250 mega Bytes per month. and 2040kbps from 11:00 pm to 08:00 am => 2048x60x60x9x30/8 => 248832000 kilo Bytes per month => 248832000/1024 => 243000 mega Bytes per month Total Download in one month = 243000 mega Bytes + 101250 mega Bytes = 344250 mega Bytes per month i.e 430.31 mega Bytes per Rupees you spent So it is clear that you will get high downloadable volume for your money spent in Freedom 800 plan even there is not speed hike or anything else. |

Posted: 06 Mar 2013 03:17 AM PST So, I finally got my hands on the much desired Samsung Chromebook. It is a tiny little package with pretty nice display. Build quality? Typical Samsung. Does not feel solid. Performance wise, the dual core ARM processor is not very good. It works fine on regular web pages but load a few heavy ones and everything turns into a mess. I tried surfing the forum while listening to Google Music in another tab. Horrible user experience. Browser literally cried. I guess 2GB RAM does not matter much when the processor is grossly underpowered? In any case, dad seems to be quite satisfied with it. It boots incredibly fast. Display is better than the previous netbook he had. It's wider so most web pages fit fine on it. Battery life is something I would only find out in the days to come. But should suffice for his needs if Google's 6.5 hours claim is anywhere close to real world figures. Here are a bunch of random photos. Bad quality. I was just too eager to open it up and start playing with it so used my phone instead of my regular camera. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
