Sometimes the browser says like this:
It seems your computer has been affected by a virus. This may allow a remote attacker to gain control over your system.

I have to enter a recaptcha code to enter.
Any explanations appreciated.

This message appears vaguely sometimes, even when I keep scanning regularly.

Is this a very serious issue?

16th Loksabha General Elections of India

Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:53 AM PST

General Elections for electing 16th Loksabha members would happen in 1 year from now. It may even happen within 1 year as well if situation arises like current govt decides to call early elections or looses majority if coalition partners pull off support (which is less likely).

So who could it be forming new govt? BJP or Congress? NDA or UPA? Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi? Sushma Swaraj or Manmohan Singh? Arun Jaitley or P. Chidambaram?
What impact Arvind Kejriwal would have on these elections? And finally will any 3rd front succeed in forming govt at Centre?

Beam Fiber Broadband: Disconnections on power failure

Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:40 AM PST

This ****ing beam is still not upto the mark when it comes to providing battery backup upto 4 hours. I think as per TRAI regulations, ISP must provide 4 hours of battery backup...I had this issue some months ago and was fixed after a visit to their center....now i see that the customer care guy is argueing that they only provide 1 hour of battery backup....what can be done to fix this ??

Using 3G first time

Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:16 AM PST

Dear Friends,

I have Airtel network on my mobile. I know nothing about internet service on mobile as I have never used it. I want to start using 3G internet on my mobile so that I can watch YouTube videos on the move as 3G offers much faster internet speed then 2G and to be able to surf 3G internet I need to buy a good mobile that supports 2G, 3G, wi-fi, EDGE, GPRS all the related technologies. Can you please guide me as to which handset/brand are good for me? Please recommend the ones that support all the technologies that I have mentioned.

My 2nd question is AirTel offers unlimited 3G internet in Mumbai as per the below page on their website. Although they reduce the speed after one has reached a certain usage in GB depending on the plan selected.  I am in Mumbai right now.

http://www.airtel.in/Airtel-3G/tariffs.html

I am confused as to whether unlimited is really unlimited. I mean if I end up downloading 500 GB (this is just an example), they will not charge me extra even if I take the Rs 655 plan for my pre-paid connection with 3 GB in-built usage as mentioned in the table below. Thanks.

Unlimited Browsing Pack Rs.655 Rs.650 3 GB 30 days     Unlimited usage at controlled speed (@ 80 kbps) beyond the in-built 3G usage Rs.755 Rs.750 4 GB 30 days     Rs.855 Rs.850 5 GB 30 days     Rs.951 Rs.950 6 GB 30 days     Rs.1255 Rs.1250 8 GB for postpaid & 9 GB for prepaid 30 days     Rs.1555 - 12 GB 30 days     Volume Based Charging Packs

What ROM Are You Using?

Posted: 03 Mar 2013 12:43 AM PST

After months of wait fpr Samsung to release the official Jelly Bean update for Note N7000, I gave up and now I am using Paranoid Android 3.10. It is 4.2.2 and it has hybrid feature that enables Note to be used more like a tablet kind of device. It's pretty cool IMO, what you guys are using and any suggestions what else to try?
