Important news for all bsnl broadband changes plans 1 feb 2011 Posted: 30 Jan 2013 03:01 AM PST even more precisely they are moving to myanmar. |
Posted: 30 Jan 2013 02:53 AM PST I had recently replaced two 512 mb DDR2 rams with a single 2 GB DDR2 ram on an old sparsely used desktop which had an Asus motherboard. And the motherboard was dual channel but it worked fine and is working like a breeze with Windows 8 too. Though it is recommended to insert two equal rams in dual channel MBs but it hardly matters a lot nowadays if two RAMs are running. It should work fine irrespective of the dual channel or not. Asus motherboards especially are regarded as rough and tough ones which can handle most things that you throw at it. |
Reliance LTE 4G Wireless Broadband could be launched announced anytime now Posted: 30 Jan 2013 02:45 AM PST ^^ I know Susubh that ideally wireless internet can never compete with wired broadband. But the problem in India is that wired broadband is stuck and only wireless plans are improving. And one more problem is the lack of competition. For example, I am from Guwahati which is a state capital as well as the main administrative and business center of 7 Indian states (NE) and there is not a single competitor to BSNL in wired broadband even here. Only in wireless broadband are there other competitors with presence of most players. BSNL in itself has got stuck in the broadband sector and aren't moving forward at all for several years now be it new plan introduction, speed upgrades, existing plan restructuring etc. for several years now. Nor are BSNL planning to do so it seems. Without any competition, they aren't even worried about those things now it seems. So, that is where a pan Indian wireless ISP might gain ground if their pricing is better than BSNL as was previously rumored with the Reliance BWA. Hopefully 4G routers would also be available as soon as 4G becomes big and so, there should not be a problem with sharing too among multiple devices. It is only the pricing and quality of service of Reliance BWA which will decide their success or failure as an ISP. If they providing better services and plans, I won't be surprised if they take away mainstream wired broadband customers from national ISPs. |
Zee Dish TV TruHD: Dish TRU HD+ STB Firmware Updated Posted: 30 Jan 2013 02:26 AM PST Ya got the update, it shows a USB Disconnected Icon on Right side above the Time during channel surfing. However my account info still shows recharge due in oct/nov which is already renewed every month so update pushed new thing without the worry about updating customer account information. |

Using the Bsnl UTStarcom WA3002g4 wireless TYPE-IV ADSL broadband modem router outside India Posted: 30 Jan 2013 12:53 AM PST Hi, I have a Bsnl UTStarcom WA3002g4 wireless TYPE-IV ADSL broadband modem router with 4 LAN ports and 1 Wireless Antenna. Since I don't have the landline anymore, I don't need this Modem/Router. Thing is, can this modem/router be used outside India, like in the USA or Singapore? If it can be, I'm thinking of giving it to my cousin who is in the USA or else I sell it in India itself. Can this modem be used abroad? Thanks for helping. Norman |
