You need to follow up with the provider, the speeds are back to normal in my case after following up!

Switching from BSNL to Airtel (Chennai)

I'm on the 4mbps unlimited plan with a 20GB cap and the limit is proving to be a serious issue. I'm considering switching to one of the Airtel 8mbps plans(80GB/170GB), It looks great on paper, but I notice the trend here being people switching away from airtel.

People seem to complain about the FUP a lot, I'm fine with the plan they offer, but do they fully honour it? Does the FUP kick-in exactly after the mark or do they try to screw you and downgrade the connection a few GBs before the limit?

Any other issues I must know about? Especially with airtel in Chennai?

Thanks.

did u hear about reliance new thunder plans ???????? 1099 4mbps nO fup

Shift to Reliance, if they have lines in your area. They even fixed their ping issue, so if you're a gamer then it's a win-win situation. except their customer care, but since you're a BSNL customer, I doubt you have any hopes from customer care. =p

Beam Fiber Broadband: Cannot get a connection at my new place

Posted: 26 Oct 2012 02:29 AM PDT

Connection was restored on Wednesday through BSNL. Despite their crap speeds, they have good customer service and are relatively quick to act. I was having problems regarding username and password and they sorted it out quickly even on Dussehra.
I am willing to overlook Beam's (non-existent) customer service for their speeds. At this point, I only have my phone number.

Can anyone tell me how to PM a person? I don't see that option anywhere.
