Kerala police takes note of IPs streaming new movies, to arrest infringers.. Posted: 09 Sep 2012 02:37 AM PDT The Hindu : States / Kerala : Bachelor Party on the Net lands many in police net Quote: In what is billed as a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, the anti-piracy cell of the Kerala Police has registered cases against 1,010 persons for illegally uploading or downloading on the Internet the Malayalam movie Bachelor Party. This includes a Keralite engineering student based in Vaashi, Navi Mumbai, and the Coimbatore-based website Tamil Rockers, a press note issued here on Saturday by the anti-piracy cell said. Over the last 10 days, 30,000 persons were found to have seen Bachelor Party illegally on the Net. The IP addresses of 1,010 persons have already been identified. The anti-piracy cell, the hi-tech cell, and Jadoo Tech Private Solutions a Kochi-based private firm which did the cyber patrolling for the police have initiated steps to collect the names and addresses of the persons whose IP addresses have been traced. Also to quote the first comment from there , coz its totally worth it : Quote: When politicians loot a lot of money in the form of scams, nothing will be done. But when people see a movie on the internet, first-of-its-kind initiatives will always be done. What an amazing system! |

Posted: 09 Sep 2012 01:29 AM PDT To save battery drain i normally do this trick... I use mobile in dual mode network (if you are on 3G) I start the app I go to settings (on top right small icon) in General, I turn off wifi scan and turn off force wifi on Then I lock to a gps satellite using an app called gps test . Use GPS Test to lock to some satellites. The bars should turn Yellow. Close GPS Test app. The locking helps the mobile to get emphersis gps information which would be valid for 4 hours without data connection. ( Depends on manufacturer also) then most important.... I turn off data connection. If data connection is off, the battery drain is reduced. Then click the Map Trip and go out in open and drive or go in bus , run, jog whatever !! The app will collect the data and store it in some file and upload the data once you are at home on wifi or once you start the data connection. The upload happens when the app is on and you are under Details tab and data connection is on. Let me know if this helps !! |
