Posted: 24 Sep 2012 03:03 AM PDT That's why I was wondering why Sony has a stack in iPhone 5, according to businessweek.com. Source I was believing that only in India, youngsters buy Apple products to show off like Black berry but now BB is replaced by Apple. |
Which big screen TV to go for. Posted: 24 Sep 2012 03:02 AM PDT Thanks a lot for all the suggestion. I'm now even more confused than ever :P @blazer: The distance from my bed to TV is way too much for anything less than 50 inch. Currently using a 54 inch (720p) 4:3 Projection TV and that's definitely not big enough. Even a 55 inch TV will be smaller than my current TV coz it'll be 16:9 (compared to 4:3 for my older one) as its height will be a quite a bit less. About Sony HX850, I was interested in it for SD videos performance (coz of the highly praised XReality engine) but I saw it in 3 different showrooms (including a Sony Store) and instead of it doing any better than lg, it looked worse than that at SD. So, no interest in spending extra for something which I found worse than the competitors. And then it had the expensive active glasses for 3D too. About plasmas in general, my issues are active glasses, buzzing (thanks to the fans required in plasmas), bright room performance (mine will have quite a few windows) and the possibility of image retention (I know it's improved a lot in the years but still it's not 100% IR proof). That said, I still like the idea of a plasma TV. It's supposed to have more natural colors, easier on the eyes, less ghosting compared to equally priced led/LCDs, cheaper price for 50 inch models (though add 10 more inches and 65 inch costs 4X as much for some reason). Unfortunately, no dealer seem to be willing to sell plasmas. Very few have them in stock and pretty much no one I visited had one on display. Only plasma I got a look at was a LG pdp 6200 and it was not that great from what I saw. Looked fine on some channels but too much yellow tinge on some channels. Might need some calibration or maybe this 6200 just isn't a good plasma. Need to see some panasonic plasmas to confirm if Plasmas are for me or not. Currently interested in Panasonic ST50. Is that the best 55inch plasma I can get for under 200k? Anyone know any dealers in north Delhi who have plasmas on display? @naveen_reloaded, you mentioned you got 1+2 warranty on Panny plasma. Was that a deal or does panasonic offer you 3 year warranty? |

Google Chrome for Android Updates Posted: 24 Sep 2012 02:57 AM PDT lol android. few apps on android actually have an exit option. it is supposed to be like this. android manages the running apps automatically. if that annoys you, maybe you should switch to a platform with no multi-tasking support. |
