I dont know how YOU is in Chennai, but here in Bombay they arent that bad to be honest ... Im just tempted looking at Indigis new plans as they are very cheap too and much faster but then again as I stated in my 1st post that I still have reservations for cablewallahs internet ...

since 3 days connection has been too unstable...and speeds since morning have been pretty bad too..

End of 3g roaming(India) charges? Is it true?

Yes. Same with me. Vodafone has indeed never charged me for 2G/3G roaming. I had used WhatsApp and Facebook quite regularly while being away from Kolkata.

Angel Pad / iGuru 2012 tablet company is a fraud scam for cheating people !

BEWARE: Do not buy Angel Pad tablet pc. Angel Pad or iGuru 2012 tablet company is an upcoming fraud scam for cheating people. They have been operating their website from China, Thailand and some parts of UK with an Indian person called Anil Sharma who has been accused of duping people to the tune of lakhs of rupees through his iGuru 2012. His site currently says we are facing technical problems.

The company claimed that they have a tablet manufacturing, dispatch unit at Shenzhen, China with tablet pcs priced as low as US$ 40 (including shipping). The payments were to be made in favour of booking agents in Bangkok, Thailand and UK. But in reality there is nothing that existed as their main intention was to cheat people.

With fake contact information provided on their sites, all that they did was send auto-respond e-mails to customers queries. The customers had to wait for days and even after a month, nothing arrived.

The main concern is they are still conducting this racket for make some more people their victims from another website. So do not get tempted by this and do not deal with these scamsters. They nicely send the auto-responder emails from a fake email id called Jenny S George. But no tracking number or any info provided as they say they are sending it by ordinary mail which is slow but steady.

The idea is after 45 days, Paypal does not entertain any disputes arising from the transaction like "nothing received" or "wrong item delivered", so they tell us not to raise dispute and withdraw our money after 45 days. With Paypal dispute, atleast the money can be recovered within the time frame but other payment modes like Bank transfer and Western Union are very risky with high chances of losing money.
Those who act quickly can recover their money, but those who wait are left waiting and cheated.

Surprisingly, the BSNL customer care in Mysore, Karnataka has been tremendous. They solve issues so quick, and even give suggestions to improve our experience with them. I was simply shocked, maybe they have woken up from their deep sleep.

Maxis plans to sell Aircel

The executive said Maxis was also upset with the way the investigating agencies had dragged Krishnan and other top officials into the probe surrounding the circumstances under which the Malaysian company acquired Aircel from serial entrepreneur C Sivasankaran.

The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing Sivasankaran's charge that he was pressurised to sell Aircel to Maxis by former telecom minister Dayanadhi Maran and that the Malaysian company's subsidiary made a quid pro quo investment of Rs 550 crore in a DTH company owned by the Maran family in return for the ex-minister's role in the Aircel transaction. Maran and Maxis have vehemently denied all wrongdoing.

A Sistema India spokesperson denied the company was in talks with Aircel. "Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd believes that the talk of engaging with other telecom service providers for a possible acquisition deal is motivated," said the spokesperson said.

BSNL Broadband Stability

Hi, I am searching for stable broadband connections. BSNL broadband is in my shortlist but not sure how its services will be like in Monsoon season. Will the broadband link be disconnected due to lightning strikes or other reasons very often? Any experiences and suggestions to share?
