Sorry for the late reply but I'm almost at the buying stage now. Just a quick question: majority of the routers have 2dBi antennas. Are 2 x 2dBi enough for a 1000 sq. ft home or should I go with 2 x 5dBi?

That really kills my hopes. If a research scholar working with the secret Indian space command and liaisoning with extraterrestrials at an underground top secret base near ladakh is not able to open nasa websites using his ISP, then there is no hope and future for broadband in India.
