| can i use laptop processor on a desktop PC?! Posted: 05 Jul 2011 02:06 AM PDT in one word no, because of different socket size plus the physical size of processor itself. plus all i3 procs have a mobo with ddr3 support where as your mobo is most likely to be ddr2 .
