| Posted: 25 Feb 2011 02:07 AM PST well this is not the first time i have ordered zagg. i had ordered it twice for my previous phone N1. the first time? i did not order the liquid (it was sold separately). made a mess during the installation. sheer wastage. the second time was much better. ordered the liquid and it made the installation process much easy. i think now they including the spray thingy with the skin as it is no longer on sale separately. both the time on my previous orders it landed just fine. time taken was long but it arrived fine. this time i have now waited for around 50 days. and no result. so i asked them to resend it. fortunately they only asked for some minor charges (5 dollars) instead of the whole payment. in the end, the product itself has no real value :D its just plastic film and soap water. :D as for the quality... zagg is most likely just rebranded 3M manufactured film. and almost all the other companies probably use the same. zagg has a brand so they can charge a premium for it. some other brands charge around the same. small companies do not. a couple of folks on the forum have had decent experience with the not so famous brands... you can even try out buying a skin from here AMZER® - Products :: Chargers, Skins, Cases, Cradles, Headset, Keyboard for a trial.

| Sundirect charging Rs 3250 for ESPN HD Posted: 25 Feb 2011 02:01 AM PST they had to pay 2.5 crores for the FIFA world cup....for which they had gone to court (did not want to pay ESPN) and the court ruled against them and they had to cough up to ESPN and Star sports....god only knows how much is ESPN Star taking this time...they are evenly distibuting the cost among there 10,000 HD customers :)

Order was passed last evening. Been fighting for this for a month; glad that I could change something. You can also check your voice balance by typing *444# on you phones. The fight against speed capping and CLI number formatting continues. Note: some new numbers may be getting error messages when SMSing 444; MTNL is aware of the problem and is working to fix that... something to do with delayed profile creation on their systems.

Try using their public DNS (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4) - It reduced my ping times to Google from 300 to 60 and it considerably fastens my browsing experience on all Google services. (except Youtube and the others)

It has GREAT OFFERS and Good network and Idont need to call CC ever! and did I mention the first network ever who gives u free mintes for the Rent u pay ( NOBODY ever did it in INDIA, ****in IDEA and airtel are still robbers) ad voicemail service when U can have it for free. as for ur problem the recharge is always less that what u do,for 50 INR u will always get 43.35 INR as balance, if u recharge 222, 333 or so u will get FULL recharge.

| LnB Needs Replacement to get all HD Channels Posted: 24 Feb 2011 07:49 PM PST Fyi, the LnB needs to be replaced to receive all the HD channels from DishTV. They are doing this free. I am yet to get my replacement though I requested it 4 days back. Also the package seems to have changed and cost has gone up. There are now 2 packs - Starter Pack - which was 100 earlier is now 125. There are 15 channels in the starter pack now as compared to 4 earlier and there are another 15 channels in another ala carte pack for an additional 100. Very pricey. Will work out to 600 a month.

I connected the phone to my laptop via USB cable. The speed I got is around 380kbps download and 300kbps upload. I have laptop with Windows 7. However, now I've shifted to Delhi and want to use the same modem, but plug in a MTNL datacard. I had a couple of questions: a) Is it actually possible to use MTNL sim with BSNL modem? The guy I bought it from said that the modem is 'unlocked' b) Is MTNL a good option in Delhi? How are Reliance and Tata Indicom? c) Do companies even sell data cards individually without the modem? Thanks in advance guys for whatever inputs you can give me

| DoT issues notice to Idea for Punjab license termination Posted: 24 Feb 2011 08:30 AM PST The Department of Telecom (DoT) has issued a notice to Idea Cellular for Punjab License Termination and has also send a demand notice to Spice Communication for Punjab. The regulator alleges that there has been a violation of the substantial equity norm by Idea Celuar and Spice Communication. The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has already heard out Idea cellular's plea on the grant of 3G spectrum in Punjab but the Department of Telecom says it cannot give Idea the Punjab 3G license. Idea has paid Rs 320 crore for it Punjab 3G license. The final hearing on matter by TDSAT will be held on March 3.

| Posted: 24 Feb 2011 04:36 AM PST -Go for any unlocked modem, it will support 3G from all operators. -Yeah, Reliance is selling its 21 mbps modem for around 4.5k, it is unlocked so can be used with any operator sim, but too costly while comparing to Huawei UMG 1831 for <=3000rs & k4505 for somewhere b/w 3.5k to 4 k . U can check that in some other threads. -U r in delhi so yes MTNL is having promotional offer similar to earlier BSNL offer. In MTNL, u can get unlimited data @ 4500rs/6month effectively for 750 rs/month. ( with a 200GB/month soft Fair Usage Policy which they say will choose whether to apply or not). But before u wanna go for MTNL, plz do check coverage & speed in ur particular area before going for any big recharge.
