@ acc1444 Buy a SE 3G enabled, SONY's r quite good and reliable.

I compared the performance of both NOKIA and SONY ERSCSON in wifi, And SE beats the nokia easily.

Now what i say is dump that iphone of urs, or better sell it 4 good rate and buy an Xperia or any other 3G phone of SE.

I updated it yesterday. Seems over all performance got increased. Also you can get new clock screen saver and QT viewer.

my dad had a lal batti wali car (blue in his later days). hehe. but he never really misused the powers that came with it (at least when i was traveling with him). that used to really annoy the driver assigned to him.

anyways. i have traveled enough in an ambassador to realize that it is a wonderful car. the backseats are extremely comfortable. :P

i should also add here that my dad never liked it when the government started giving out esteems in place of ambassadors during his last years in the government job he had. he preferred ambassador and continued to use it till his retirement day.

The Vodafone fimware is for Huawei K4505 and NOT UMG1831....!!
Kindly don't misguide the readers.
Those who wanna upgrade their UMG1831 dashboard(T-mobile) can follow the links given above.
I prefer using the T-mobile firmware itself for the modem, instead of the mobile partner firmware.
For PC, u can use MDMA or Mobile Partner Software...!! Both are good.
Mobile partner software standalone version is available... which will install the software just on PC... and which doesn't flash the modem firmware to Mobile partner one.

UPDATE 8-2-2011: Today I notice that the date displayed when I dial *141# has now been changed to 2nd Nov 2013. I don’t see why this confusion.

All these years the expiry date displayed for this command was the expiry of the SIM card ie the license period that too was mentioned there.

1) If the expiry date displayed is for the expiry of the license period then it should be ‘28-11-2014 (till license period)’. Those were the exact words displayed in the past.
2) If it should display the expiry date of the bonus card (this crap was given to me by Ms. S at the Vodafone Store (Prabhadevi Mumbai), then it will be 2nd Nov 2012 AND NOT what is now being displayed 2nd Nov 2013.

O why can’t they employ people who can read AND understand emails?

I just got a call from the ‘Feedback section’ (yes that’s right) enquiring why I was not happy with my visit to their store on the 5th Feb 2011. I told him the entire story, he seemed quite taken aback when I told him that I written to the Nodal Office as the supervisor in the store had recommended. He seemed more intelligent than the others I had spoke to so far & agreed with me that the date displayed so far was the expiry date of the license of the operator. They had announced in the past to all lifelong customers that the date shown would be wrong, as there was a shortcoming in their system but later on they seemed to have displayed the date correctly (possibly used a temporary work around & then forgotten about it). The entire confusion happened ONLY BECAUSE the bozos at the store insisted it was the expiry date of the bonus card. He told me it would be rectified soon :huh:. I am hoping for the best.

I am expecting a call from the nodal office today will update with their spiel, later.

Sony Digital Camera service center in delhi ncr region?

the camera started malfunctioning a couple of days ago. i sent a mail to sony. got a list of 2 service centers in gurgaon that might be able to help me out.

did not get a chance to visit them yet.

i got a call today from the sony guys. they told me that the service station list given to me are of service stations that are capable of handling dslrs so they should be able to help me out.

very assuring. but i have my doubts. i really need to take time out to visit their service station.

Just got a call from a Tata Sky technician asking what time he should come to my house, I was zapped for a minute because I had specifically told that lady yesterday that I DON’T WANT A VISIT & had chosen the second option she had given me (see post #9 above) . Looks like it’s another scam switch off a channel for a customer & then say we have to send a technician to ‘check’ charge Rs 125/-

I used Tikona when they first rolled out services in Hyderabad exactly a year ago

I applied for FUL599 UL which was then 2Mbps for first 2GB of usage and 300kbps later on.

After two days of paying installation charges 500 and 1 month advance of 600+taxes, i got the connection. Did speed test and found the speed to be satisfactory.

A few weeks later every night after 10:30pm i started getting 2-8Mbps download speed on utorrent (using free trackers). The speed lasts only till 8am next morning though

That continued for few months, after that one fine night that magic dint happen and speed was raised to 512kbps on same plan. Nevertheless its still a gud bet.

New problems started to surface.. like disconnections after 2am or after every few hrs at dawn. Even after multiple complaints, tikona customer care couldnt clear that problem. Yet another problem was their online payment gateway which dint work at that time and my account login was blocked for non payment of bill. Their agent never showed up and even if he appeared miraculously once to get 2 months dues, he paid that amount using DD which took 10 days to clear so i had no internet all those days.

Fed up with their nonsense i decided to change my ISP so i called up customer care and requested for termination. Nobody came to claim the modem. I called them again and again but no use. I have shifted to another place in the city but i still get overdue bills from Tikona. They never even tried to call me asking for due amount, such is their service.

PS: I still have their modem with me (Ruckus Wireless)

BSNL 3G speed crossed over 5 mbps in Coimbatore,Tamilnadu.

THE heat of the processor is transmitted to the plastic body. as the body cools the heat of the processor reduces. same principle as cpu processor cooling. Actually iam waiting to get an antenna that would bump up full signal.can any body plz help me with this. i had already spent a lot for the magnetic mount Omni Directiona antennas available in ebay but not even a bar improvement. so help we where i can buy 3g yagi or other powerful antennas.

There should be alternatives like LEXUS(luxury 4rom toyota) ,INFINITY(luxury 4rom nissan).

These above mentioned cars are JAPANESE LUXURY cars, and have better resale value, not sure if INFINITY is good.
But LEXUS 4 sure.

Why people r just crazy behind MERC, only bcause of its name,performance.
Even JAPANESE cars more reliable and cheaper than GERMAN cars.

Yes 25 bucks increased with following channels added

Colors, Imagine TV, Zoom, E24, UTV Bindaas, Utv Movies, Zee 24 Taas, Zee Talkies, Zee 24 Ghanta, Zee Telugu, Zee Kannada, Zee Business, Pogo and Actve Darshan.

low torrent speed problem ---- SOLVED
There is generic problem of LOW TORRENT SPEED amongst BSNL 3G users,
here i got anather way of downloading torrent with HIGH SPEED TORRENT
download, just follow the simple steps.
1. instal google chrome.
2. open Piratebay.org
3. open "torrific.com"
1,2&3. steps are imp missing any one will not work this trick.
4. go to pirate bay select any torrent, open it and do right click on
download torrent options and select copy link address.
5. open torrific.com and in space provided in get, paste the link address,
it will show your torrent and select get options after that if you are
lucky your torrent will be avlaible for download, if not then choose
"intiate " it will show approx after how much time you will be able to download
.
now you will be able to download your torrent by any download manager and will
get high speed with bsnl 3g

I applied for number portability about 20 days back from Airtel to Vodafone. From yesterday night 10pm, it seems my Airtel was disconnected so inserted Vodafone, it showed full network but could not make any calls nor could receive any calls with a message saying "this number does not exist".

Today morning, I have started making calls from Vodafone but receiving calls from my wife's Airtel number whereas could not make call from MTNL landline.

I was fed up with Airtel because of poor network in my office since last few months as apparently they have not paid money to Citimall Andheri, approx. 7 lacs for their tower due to which it has been removed. Also, foolish executives at their call centre is now legendary.

Also other operator except Vodafone had zero network in Citimall so switched to Vodafone.

Now not sure whether I would be able to top up online because somebody here posted his inability to do so online.

My plan remains the same 1ps/second, want to check about data plans now. Any idea about 3G on vodafone?

Actually I don't want much (if anything) to do with existing infrastructure. And telecom companies in many other countries have been investing heavily in new infrastructure (including last mile fiber) for years.

Actually she's generally pretty good with technology, she just refuses to admit it. I know plenty of girls who are awesome at it.

She makes up for my talking about tech (I speak to her at great length about Hayai and she comprehends most of it) by talking to me about her work (diamonds and high-end fashion labels).

Is it possible to get 2G plans in a BSNL 3G SIM ? I want to know whether I can recharge with 2G plans like 98 Rs (2GB free) , 274 Rs Unlimited , etc..If yes , what will be the speed I'm getting ?

2 SATA but 2 HDD, 1 DVD-RW.. Help

nsm1234's suggestion to use an external casing for the CD/DVD drive is a very good and practical solution (better than mine at least). External casings are very useful and handy in some situations.

Not for any Arguments. I have been a phone geek for 10 years now. I am using phones like iphone 4, blackberry torch , HTC desire HD, Samsung Galaxy S. To be frank . nothing can beat iphone in its speed, touch, quality, luxury, camera. ect. You wont feel difference when you just use all phones a see for a short while. But when you are a regular user you will feel the difference. You cannot compare blackberry and iphone. Both have a different stand. All other phones are trying to compete with iphone and blackberry. iphones apps are touch of perfection. I feel soo good to use facebook, twitter, skype etc. in iphone than my PC. lol. :-P Using wifi in iphone is soo simple and mind blowing. I was a nokia fan years back and used to think iphone a mere waste of money. But now I feel , i cannot live without an iphone. Guys. its worth. !!!

also... as for updates. majority of owners of iphones in india are running jailbreak editions. and a lot of these users (who are not techies) are generally not likely to update to latest ios versions because they lose their jailbreak. i know people who are still on iOS3 because their phones are working fine and they do not want to risk upgrading to iOS 4 and losing the jailbreak ability.

You can update without losing your jailbreak.

This is most probably because of faulty telephone line cable. Contact your local telephone exchange and lodge a complaint. Also check your telephone for any disturbance sound coming while speaking. Last week, I also faced this problem, and they rectified it.

Hi All,

I have a Samsung B7722 Dual SIM mobile which has 1 3g + 1 2g SIM slots.
I am using 2 connections : BSNL 3g and Airtel 2g.

Now Airtel does not have 3g in Punjab so I am thinking of shifting from Airtel to another mobile provider which has 3g in Punjab.

My main purpose is to have 2 SIMs,both of which are 3g capable so that I can switch between the 3g SIMs of whichever mobile company is convenient.

Please suggest which 3g provider in Punjab circle is best after BSNL ?

Guys I bought Asus RT-G32 today but im not able to surf internet when i connect my PC or laptop through router.I have tried putting all settings in router from modem but still no help.Please help me setting up my router.

Router - ASUS RT-G32
