Airtel Broadband Switchers (Have you kicked Airtel out of your house yet?) #airtelsucks Posted: 21 Jan 2011 03:17 AM PST Yes i kicked my GPRS a weeks back out of my house bcause it was useless. It was shitty, even worst then a dial up connection. Guyz never go for AIRTEL cause its the world's stupid company. For years and years we are suffering from the worst network in mobiles and also in broadband also many people are dissatisfied. ---------- Post added at 04:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:30 PM ---------- I am using RELIANCE wifi free and trust me its quite fast but the only thing is that it comes for limited time 4 me. Atleast better than AIRTEL, and all other crappy ISP's . I used HATHWAY and faced lot of downtime(not working 4 sometime and increased billing due to late payments. |

Which mobile operator is having the best edge/gprs conection ?? Posted: 21 Jan 2011 03:03 AM PST I stay in Bangalore and after recent hike in Airtel's Edge tariff, speeds have imporoved. Earlier i used to get 40 to 60Kbps most of the time but now i get 80Kbps most of the time and some times get 120 to 140Kbps. I have tested these speeds in JP nagar and hosur road area. I have heard many times that Docomo is best for Edge but also heard that their Edge speeds dropped after they launched 3G services. |
Problems being faced through Mobile Number Portability Posted: 21 Jan 2011 02:46 AM PST Even I changed 3 to 4 From the past 3 years Looking For Mobile Number Portability! I was Really happy When RAJA gave his resignation as Telecom Minister due to Corruption Charges. I then thought Mobile Number Portability will be Reality now! He should be somehow punished. Disappointed with nonsense Airtel Broadband Billing Posted: 21 Jan 2011 02:36 AM PST Very usefull thread for me. But its too late i got to here. I also got cheated. When i requested for the disconnection at their cusotmer service center they said our server is down and i am not able to process ur request at this time. We will process this soon later. I trusted them. And when i recive next bill next month i contacted on the call center. The call center guy again there is some problem with the system and i can not check the detail. but there is not bill due against u. so dont worry. And then after few more bills i recived now they sent me the notice. It is very clear that while closure of account a little mistake would put u in a beeg touble. I want to know what proof we need to ask to them when we request for closure. That proves that we have requested for closure on so and so date. |
Problem: My latest fiasco with Airtel Posted: 21 Jan 2011 02:34 AM PST well... a while back. trai made a recommendation that all landline phones in india should be switched to 10 digits to make it easy for them to include in MNP. it never happened. ---------- Post added at 04:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:03 PM ---------- mobile number portability is a subset of number portability. you want to know something cool? google is now offer number portability to their google voice service. you can pretty much stop relying on a mobile service provider in the US market and move totally to google voice. now that is something extraordinary. |

Posted: 21 Jan 2011 01:59 AM PST The top ISPs in india are as follows out of top 10, 50 % i.e. 5 are the providers only for the business, that means that its highly costly. Highest speeds are embrassingly 5.94 for IPVPN/Internet Service. The other 5 providers are pathetic speed averaging out from 3.24 Mbps to 2.07 Mbps these include , Tata, Bharti, NIB, TataIndi and dish net in this order. go figure No ISP has more than 3 stars. :( |
