Sony VGN-CR507E: DVD RW 7560A not functioning in windows 7

I have purchased a new Sony Vaio VGN-CR507E and installed vista. I had no troubles by means of the DVD RW in Vista, however from the time when upgrading to Windows 7 it won't function. The PC does identify it although. I also tried installing the previous vista driver as well as that did not work. Sony does not appear to have an update for this precise driver. So i have read through the reads and i still can't get it to work. Basically I have a flash drive, I want to have a batch file that copies all of the IP information the address etc. and put it into a text file on the flash drive. Preferably so nothing pops up. So it would be undetected. Any help would be appreciated, thank you! :uhm:

I have a Dell Vostro 1400 laptop running Windows XP Home Edition, and whenever I try to start it up it comes up with a BSoD saying

Hello friends, I had just upgraded my Sony desktops from Windows XP to Windows 7.
