PC Reboots Continuously After DMA Transfer Mode Enabled. Posted: 05 Dec 2010 02:50 AM PST I don't know much about the technicalities of this problem but all I can say is that when I used to 'Repair' Windows XP (now switched to Windows 7) the same problem used to bug me every time. The system would freeze for few milliseconds every second and that made it extremely frustrating to use the PC. So I had no other option but to reinstall Windows XP after every 'Repair'. |
Airtel Broadband enforcing new Fair Usage Policy limits on old customers Posted: 05 Dec 2010 02:47 AM PST I have switched to Reliance Wire Broadband from Airtel after I was FUPed. I subscribed for the 749 Plan with 600kbps and 1 Mbps boost at night. According to my experience the speed in daytime fluctuates between 580kbps to 650kbps or even more and at night it is between 930kbps to 1.1 Mbps. The love the way Reliance offers speed boost. :) And most important no FUP. |

Can I used BSNL Router As Access point or Repeater in Wi-Fi Network? Posted: 05 Dec 2010 02:09 AM PST Quote: What is technical difference between Access point or Repeater? If I make UTSTarcom WA3002G4 ADSL Modem as Access point for my new Wi Fi Router. WA3002-G4 will give you wifi access within say 20 feet radius. Connect a rj45 cable(maximum length 100 meters) from Lan 1 to your new WIFI router in a new area ( say 3rd floor) and increase the range. REPEATER mode : Both above should connect in wifi mode without any cable connection. Facility not available. |

Bsnl Modem ZXDSL 531B Wifi issue Posted: 05 Dec 2010 12:51 AM PST My router WA3002G4 had a similar problem when I had newly bought it (from BSNL ofcourse). The problem: Every time the modem is switched off and on, the WiFi network would be visible for around 1min and then disappears. So, I had to login to the modem config page and then just Save/Reboot and later on, the network would be visible. The symptom perished with I switched off the security measures (no encryption, WEP, WPA, etc) Solution: I got the modem replaced. Since it was new, and still under warranty, I called the BSNL broadband guy and even he noticed the problem and replaced it free of cost. |
