Huawei E1752 on BSNL

Posted: 04 Dec 2010 03:22 AM PST

I've been using the modem for a month and haven't faced any issues.

With regards to speed..it all depends how far you are from the tower and what the congestion is. I get anywhere from 1 mbps - 3mbps depending on the time. Once, I did get around 5.1 mbps but that was for a short time.

But one thing I would want to call out... E1750 hasn't been working in BSNL west zone...I'm not sure of E1752..will be traveling to Mumbai and Ahmedabad next weekend so would be able to confirm. E122 so far has been working fine on BSNL west zone..however it does not support voice calls so far.

The worst service in DTH - Sun Direct DTH

Posted: 04 Dec 2010 02:10 AM PST

Another thread! All customers are part of the satellite change. They have recently stopped distributors from moving the dish to new satellite and instead has given HCL that duty. But what exactly your problem? If it is about changing the dish direction then see Anil reddy's post. It will be helpful.

I lost lot of money and get no channels becoz of a satellite change in their side and they never fix that for us...

the worst company i have ever seen in this DTH world...I am really suffering for not choosing either Airtel Digital TV or Tata sky ..may be they are expensive but from a service, they are excellent. This sun direct is big cheating.

There are already threads for advising people not to choose Sun direct. You could have posted there. But if you have any problems please post it here and some members might know to solve it.

Dont think that TS and Airtel has great service. My friend booked TS & paid money on 20th November and he is daily calling CC and they are yet to even install it.

Well I opted for Reliance Wimax connection eventually, they installed the Antenna via they were some BDS tower, its good that the tower is just 1 km away from my house indirect line of sight (pretty visible),
however I am getting signal strength as 22 and in the wimax modem it shows Max Signal Strength (CINR) to be 24 and the worst part I am getting only 512 Kbps speed half of 1 Mbps (the plan what I have opted)

Well I have called them, and they are supposed to come(bitches also installed antenna on house`s lamp rod, and my house maintainance person was going nuts so they will also come up with a new tower/rod as well tohold up the antenna in place bringing it up in more of line of sight of the tower); I hope and I will personally see(by staying there to get the signal strength to be 24 around) and I get the promised speed.

Also the DNS they set on was proxied as well, so I was not able to open BwT and DT and sites alike, however a thread at IBF helped, providing me a DNS values which I replaced to get the site working.
Now I am awaiting my speeds to be improvised.

Tell me one thing guys what upload speed do they provide on 1 Mbps plan, I am asking this because i need to upload a lot on my trackers ;)
The sales person was telling that I will get 512 upload speeds only(is it true for Wimax or is he lying). Because on Broadnet connection I used to get full 1 Mbps download speeds and around 0.72 Mbps upload speeds as visible in my signature.../

Looking forward to your answers and tell me if any suggestion that you will like to give to me.

Hayai Broadband Speed Test and Ping Test Results

Posted: 04 Dec 2010 12:06 AM PST

Two more questions for you Matt.

1. If Mumbai will be connected via Chennai (which in turn will be connected to Hayai via Singapore), wouldn't it make more sense for you to start your services from Chennai?

2. Will Hayai start the game servers on their own, or would someone have to rent them?

I say dump this thing and move to some other operator. I'm sure you have some other options at your location.

I second that :madness:
