Torrents begin very fast, but get painfully slow gradually

Posted: 24 Nov 2010 03:00 AM PST

Last month I had fair usage policy, but full speed in both HTTP and P2P before FUP. This month no FUP till now. HTTP still full, but P2P goes to around 80 KB/s from 11 am to 11 pm. I know this because at exactly 11 pm, the speed jumps.

Actually they do. Some companies like MTNL, and recently Sushubh has received an offer from Airtel as well, do have unlimited plans for their landline phones.
Having said that, I am not disputing the rest of your argument.

Is it just me or is something strange going on here?
I sense that many here are pressuring Mathew to mis-sell his product just because other vendors are doing so. I would rather he stay honest and declare upfront what you are really buying when you plonk your money on the table.

Reliance Netconnect Broadband plus: Is it worth it?

Posted: 24 Nov 2010 02:43 AM PST

@Samm - your post is a bit confusing. You have mentioned Rs 1300/- as payment for the datacard. This sounds like a onetime payment. You have not mentioned the tariff. However, I think mgcarley has assumed that Rs 1300/- is the monthly charge.

why don't you email Airtel CC?

now there are lifetime validity instead of going for 365 days validity. You get call rate reduction recharge with 365 days validity.

Some recharges are valid for the lifetime of your connection validity.
Some recharge have limited days validity and then your connection validity is different.

Why you want to use NOP when you can have MO?

Will there be different mobile towers for 3G?

how to keep bsnl prepaid functional from abroad

Posted: 24 Nov 2010 01:57 AM PST

Now this gets confusing, again.
I saw Tata Docomo prepaid plans and they just require Rs 100/6 mths to keep the number active. The regulation should be same for all companies, don't know why they state this.
They also have international roaming on prepaid - Rs 75 for SIM. But I dont know whether it would be usable when back in India. That seems to be a good option also. Then the number can be kept functional easily.
